In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone dealt with Animal Plastics out in California?Heard about them through the grape vine.Just wandering about the quality of the cages and service.Do they have a website and phone number they can be reached at?Thanks Chuck Sasscer

Animal Plastics is not based in California. There are three affiliates that do sell for them, I am one of them. I'm not sure if one is in California, I will check.

Thumbs up

I have several of their racks and they are awesome. You can check this link HERE to read more.

Excellent

I have recently purchased a rack from them and not only is
it great, but their customer service and personal attention
was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend their products.

There racks can't be beat. I picked up 3 at the Daytona show and couldn't be happier. They were easily assembled and built to last a lifetime.

These are excellent cages and racks, the price the quality and the customer service are the best in the business. These guys know what there doing and can prove it..

Thanks for all the information,it is greatly appreciated.I'm quite sure I'm going to purchase a few of these racks. Thanks Chuck Sasscer

After buying a #T-48 for my bearded dragon, I've decided that all of my future reptile housing will now consist solely of Animal Plastics cages and racks should I ever get into that aspect of the herp world. They now offer more improvements on thier cages than they did last week and I feel like a kid going into a candy store when I visit them. I did forget to mention that they have excellent customer service and a very friendly attitude as well.

I've heard good things about Animal Plastics but I was wondering if anyone has purchased the SB-49 hatchling rack? This is the one that holds 42 Rubbermaid #4636 tubs. I plan on purchasing one as soon as I make sure that those tubs are available locally. If anyone has this rack and can give me a review I'd appreciate it. I'd especially like to hear about the spacing between the tubs and the shelf above. Are they secure enough to prevent hatchling escapes? Also, does their heat cable work as well as heat tape when used with a thermostat?
Thanks in advance,

Hello everyone I just want to say that animal plastics has some of the best cages and racks out there I have a few of the 28 quart rubbermaid racks and they work great I use the helix 1000 thermostate with them and couldnt be happier I just put in an order for 3 of the T-25 cages they are the big ones I just bought a few burms to go in them I will be ordering more racks real soon but I would say get the sterlite racks because the rubbermaids are getting harder and harder to find you can get pretty much all the sterlite tubs at Kmart and walmart just my 2cents

Yea, I'm finding that out. I've been to a few Walmarts and Targets and I've had no luck finding those Rubbermaids. Unfortunately, their Sterilite rack only holds 39 tubs where the Rubbermaid one holds 42 for the same price.

Chuck,
In my opinion, Animal Plastics is the finest caging company in the herp industry right now. I have quite a few of their racks, and I absolutly love them! The quality of their construction is outstanding, and their customer service is second to none. :)

Unfortunately, Rubbermaid has been in the process of redoing their entire product line over the last several months. Many of the most common tubs are being redesigned and the new ones will not fit into racks designed for the old styles. If I were going to buy new racks today, I would buy racks for the Sterilite tubs because of these availablity issues.

Thanks guys. Mark at Animal Plastics just emailed me back and he also confirmed that Rubbermaid had discontinued many of the tubs that fit their racks.
In addition to their Sterilite racks, he let me know that they are also producing racks for Iris containers. This rack will hold 6 more tubs than the Sterilite for $25 more (a total of 45 hatchling tubs).
There is a slight difference in the size of the shoe boxes but not too much.
I'm going to try to get out and look at both containers in person over the next day or two before making my decision.

Mark was really quick to email me back and with all the positive feedback I don't have any worries about making this purchase.

Who carries the Iris containers? I've never heard of them before.

I too have been considering the hatchling rack but have been reluctant since I only see 5-10 of the Rubbermaid tubs at Walmart each time I go there.

office depot sales them animal plastics just put up a link on there site to order them the large tub the iris CB-70 animal plastic rack is the same exact bin freedom breeder uses for there rack

I recently starting looking into buying a rack for my growing snake population. I heard many wonderful things about Animal Plastics Inc. and so decided to look around their site... AND then I was SHOCKED (in a good way). I live in Iowa and for about the last year or so I have been buying my mice from this cute little pet shop near Des Moines called Animal Inc. To my surprise they are one and the same place. Once I realized this, I was sold. We've all seen really BAD petshops in the past. You know sick animals, dirty cages, etc. This store is one of those places that gives you hope. Their employees are also VERY inviting and helpful. They CARE about their animals a great deal and it's obvious that the animals are #1 to them. So, if nothing else for piece of mind know when you buy from them not ONLY are you getting a superior product your money is actually going to GOOD people. I mean seriously, there is another store in my area who is SO gross and SO depressing and seriously a vat of death and disease I am scared I'll contract something just looking in their direction, Animal Inc. is a breath of fresh air! Recommend the store and the racks. AWESOME!
