    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, lets keep it veered off-topic another moment or two. I was active in the thread which was a low point for you. I am in the camp that thinks that people can get better. All the way better. Christ, half the "clean" folks out there can only boast that they weren't caught. I'm not talking scamming necessarily, but other possible life-altering "we gotcha's" like DUI, possession with intent to distribute, etc. As a younger man, I could have had my share, and how would that have changed and "labeled" me. I wouldn't be where I am now, and all I can say is I wasn't caught. I learned, thank God. Don't mean to oversimplify it, as all require a personal, if not public, penance if we are to improve. There are folks in this forum and thread preaching about ethics and scumbags like their crap don't stink. You do not deserve a free pass, but you aren't condemned either.
I like your views in many threads. Don't always agree, but you talk from the heart and don't get cheap. I would buy from you. If I recommended you to another, I would include that you've been to Hell and back with personal integrity. Some of the most solid folks I've ever had the pleasure to be with in pressure situations were those that had already faced their own demons. Saints ? Hell no. But I wasn't wanting to deal with a saint, or rely on a saint. Good luck with all efforts moving on.
 
I guess Anne has disappeared from the herp community after getting caught lying and selling animals out from under people she made deals with.

I think this is the fastest anyone has ever been exposed before.

She has now screwed herself in the glider community and the herping community. Not many people have done that before, especially when they are only 19 years old.

Good observation. I think someone mentioned earlier that they were going to warn the fish forums, lest she go for the trifecta. There was some good homework done earlier in the thread, and a belated "thank you" to those who crossed-over to help us. I won't feed any more sugar gliders to may snakes as a token of appreciation :)
 
Nothing since this originally started. It appears that she disappeared. Either that or is using a new identity which has not been discovered yet.
 
Ok--forgive and forget, right? WRONG!!

I have known "Anne" aka Abra aka ???? for over 5 years. . . I was one of her victims, I was one of her supporters--I went to bat for her against the ENTIRE glider community to try and help her.

What it comes down to this--A leopard DOES NOT change its spots.

You can say--oh, she has grown up, you can say--she has learned from her mistakes.

FYI--ask her about her involvement in trying to DESTROY and STEAL from an entire community--the glider community.

She got backing from someone who has at the very least a questionable past. She promised gliders that never existed--which is how I feel this python thing got started. She always had one excuse or another as to why should could not come through on a sale--and for those that did not threaten litigation, she kept their money. She has scammed HUNDREDS-most of whom would not stand up to be counted for fear of appearing foolish.

Abra, Anne--Pet python--honey--give up--people know who you are--you scam and scam and occasionally you will find someone who wishes to believe your promises, only to burn them as well. Time will not change who you are--because you have no sincerety--you are out for you and you alone, and the animals be damned--remember a poor little guy who, cage being left open drowned to death in a bucket of PAINT? We tried to help you, we believe your pathetic stories of your past, we believed you were truly sorry--and you came around and bit us all in the butts. An asp would be less deadly.

Those of you who are defending her--when I met her, she claimed to be in her 30's. then after a year--admitted to being 17--only to find out the truth that she was 15 at the time. This CHILD knows NOTHING about honesty--and anyone dealing with her under any of her many alias' should be more than wary. Send no money--go see the animal you are supposedly buying--because most of them never existed.

As for how she got her gliders--she did troll for freebies--very openly claiming she was rescue home--then she sold them all--many times over--to many people thinking they were getting special colors. In the end, she has been decietful to hundreds of people, scammed countless and sold rescues as bred by her.

As a teacher, I felt for her and I fell for her attempts to make a fresh start--don't be fooled. . . I should have known better--I hope others will learn from our mistakes.

I have never had a bad review by anybody that I've sold to.
Maybe by people that have sold to me (after me complaining about the service or the animals that I did or didn't receive - retaliation type stuff), but no one that has purchased animals from me.
There's trouble makers and bad business men all around, Bill. I'm sure you're familiar and in your experience as a professional, you should have learned that fighting fire with fire just doesn't work. As an adult human being, you should have already realized that people are responsible for their own actions. I knew Anne at one time and even sold her some animals, but so have alot of people. Anne's does what Anne does and despite what you or she thinks, I, nor anyone else that dealt with the girl, not knowing she was a theif is a reflection of her. Got it? :yesnod:

Yes but it was quite awhile ago. My recollection is that Jason was only involved as a friend of Anne's, possibly a very close friend. I don't recall any evidence that Jason was involved in any shady deals.

Well the quote I did with it said he knew her and sold her animals and I pointed out the fact with another quote he actually dated her. Where did I say he had any "shady deals"? I am simply posting facts that came out in this thread and other people can make up their own minds as to his guilt or innocence. IMO, knowing someone and dating them is 2 different things.

But I do find it a big coincidence Anne was busted for selling fake hets and he is here selling the same kind of hets.

I have to agree that is something and if I was spending $1000 I would appreciate being made aware of the connection.
 
I am not one that would stick up for thurber but... Him and Anne cut off all contact a year ago.... and havent talked since that I know about when he kicked her out of his house.... SO thurber is in the clear hes not a scammer he give you what you pay for :)

That's a big coincidence ... but since when does it matter if someone says they know someone when in fact they had dated that person? Sorry but at least he acknowledged he knew her why is it any of our business if he had dated her?

I may not post much (almost non existant) but being that i work graveyards and have alot of time i read just about everything posted here in the BOI and i can think of more then a few posts where peoples names have come up in bag guy threads or good people have backed bad people. Should we now link bad guy threads to good peoples adds simply because they have had a past association with that person?
