    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, I believe I ran into another one of those Nigerian scams. Here is the email I received from them:

As Regarding your advert of (adult breeder SHTCT leopard geckos )for sale.I am interested in purchasing it.I would like to know the actual price you are offering to sell it and also it's present condition.Also the mode of payment which he would be using would be by a Certified Check and also shipping arrangment would be made with a reliable and capable shipping company whon can handle the shippment.

I don’t know for sure but I would steer clear if I was you. There is a lot of spelling errors as well as mode of payment being cashiers check. There is even an outside shipper?? I have already been taken by these guys once and this email seems almost exactly the same. I think I will play with them and post any emails they send to me just for the heck of it.
 
I got the same email about an hour ago and have recieved many of the same emails over the past year. Its definately a scam of some sort.
 
Most Definately A Scam

Everyone can pat themselves on the back because we're all throwing the bullsh*t flag on this guy. It is definately a scam and the best thing you can do is to tell him you've posted his email on this forum so others will be aware of his crap. I've gotten several just like that and there all scams.

Yeah I decided to skip the emailing back and forth and do what you said Russ. Thanks everyone for helping put the scams out in the open. The BOI is a must.
 
I just got 2 more emails of the same content from 2 different email addresses. Becarful guys, the scam seems to be spreading.
 
I dont think the scam is spreading any longer. If it does, all of us Fauna members know and are well informed.
At any rate, I my first time came very close to being taken by this scam. Some guy wanted my snakes, and said he would be sending money. Ok, somethings going to sell, no problem. The total came to about 200shipped I think. I received a check for 5,000. He told me to cash it, take my money and send him the rest. Yeah, I said no, I dont feel like getting taken. He then told me I could take half if thats what it would take.
I still refused, this is too good to actually happen, nobody just gives 2,500 away over a couple of normal, and young Ball Pythons.
So I obviously refused. I got an email, no less than 30minutes later claiming, because of me his wife was now dead.
So he pretty much said, because I couldnt cash a check, and send it to Europe within 29minutes, I am a killer.
It was a blatant scam.
