In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anthony Caponetto...ACREPTILES?

I will also apologize to Robin, i shouldnt have went off about you on this thread not knowing who you are, and i apologize.Just got too aggravated with the way this thread went, sorry again.

Josh McDermott

Kudos to both Josh and Robin,

now Anthony...your "non" apology leaves a lot to be desired.

But on to better things...

:)

Jay,
since you are one of anthony's buddies and i am sure biased... you should step back from moderating on this one. you surely can not have an unbiased view of this so it might be best for you to step out of your moderating shoes... either be the member whom raves for anthony or the unbiased moderator, thats they way moderating is supposed to work, unbiased.

Robin,
Thanks for your uninformed opinion as to how I should do my job. Earlier in this thread I posted my opinion (as a member of this site) about the subject at hand. Later I was forced to intervene as a moderator when this topic was turned into a personal grudge match and was no longer appropriate for the BOI. Just because I am a moderator on this site does not mean that I can’t have an opinion on a subject…Rich has been very clear on this point with all of the moderators. If you have a problem with the way I do things, then please feel free to report my post to Rich. However, there is zero doubt in my mind what he will think of your opinions on the subject.

let it end

Robin,
I am not the one who started nor continued this spectacle. I was responding to your post that addressed me. Doing so was not dragging anything back up. This whole ordeal will end when you "let it end."

that is something i have tried several times dto do, thus far actually three times now. and you keep bringing it back up to the top.

No Robin, I was responding to you. You keep saying that you want this topic to end, but you continue to post in some sort of attempt to "get the last word." You are so predictable.

Actually, . . .

. . . in all due respect, I think you are wrong Dr. Owens.

I know for a FACT that she wants this to be done.

Charity sometimes is a good thing, wouldn't you agree? The hardest part is to find someone willing to step forward and take the chance. Robin did just that - with a lot of humility (the good kind).

If you disagree with her and some of the things she said - that's fine. But she is not trying to get the last word.

Thanks for listening and considering this point of view.

I'm sure that she does...I would too if I were in her shoes. This thread was supposed to be about business dealings with Anthony, but it was turned into an unprofessional and juvenile attempt to smear his name. There are a few people here who should feel embarrassed by their actions. I have absolutely no desire to see this thread continue, but when someone addresses me I will respond.

I agree that it's a good thing that Robin decided to leave things alone. She should have...she was making herself look bad.

However, when someone offers an apology that is laced with insults and/or derogatory statements towards the person they are apologizing too, it leads one to question their sincerity.

If you disagree with her and some of the things she said - that's fine. But she is not trying to get the last word.
I think that I have disagreed with almost everything that she has said in this topic...but that's irrelevant. I did not "drag" this topic back up...I responded to her after she addressed me. If she were so concerned with letting things die, then she could have refrained from posting in an effort to tell me how to do things.

Thanks for listening and considering this point of view.

Your welcome.

Let me make a statement here that some people may feel is relevant, and I think has been brought up earlier.

I do not require any of the moderators on this site to give up their right of individuality and their personal opinions being expressed, in order to help me out with moderation on this site. It is ONLY if a moderator were to abuse the powers of control they exercise as a moderator here in the pursuit and defense of their opinions that I would find objection to.

Otherwise they are their own people and can post exactly in the same manner in which non-moderators post on this site.

I hope this clears the air somewhat.

You, Jay, are the worst moderator I have seen on any forum to date!!!

You are absolutely vindictive and can't stay subjective for the life of you. You even admitted in another thread that you gave out points however you felt like it OR NOT.

I guess since I had an opinion about Anthony BASED ON WHAT HE HIMSELF SAID AND DID, therefore LEGIT, I was one of your "targets".

Thank you for the points you handed out to me in this thread. 2 of them for not having the right subject line (or none, or wth) ?? Whatever.

1 for not being on topic?

Excuse me, but what did YOU just post that had anything to do with the topic? Care to give yourself a point, Jay???

Feel free to go after me again, you are so TRANSPARENT and immature its unreal.

Yes, you hide behind saying that Rich will have your back 100%.

And that might even be so, I really do not care...

But Rich has a GREAT thing going here, and the BIG thing about the BOI has ALWAYS been how FAIR the moderator was. How UNBIASED.

Look at Ken. He does his job like its supposed to be done. You don't even know how many people agree that you are pulling this sites reputation down. Because now its becoming clear that if someone is friends with a "moderator" on here, they are good to go.

Not good.

But have a ball giving out more points to those people that had a less then great opinion on your buddy, go for it.

Hopefully Rich will see the light himself one day. The BOI is a valuable tool, but only if used right, and only if moderated COMPLETELY UNBIASED.

IMHO, now have fun with it!

Rich,

I completely agree with you that moderators should have the right to post and have an opinion like everyone else.

But if they post solely "in the name of moderation" and go on belitteling people for their opinion and giving out points in a ridiculous matter and only to people he has a beef with...

Well, it is your site, but I think its more then clear that Jay has abused his moderator status.

Either way, thank you for the BOI and Faunaclassifieds.com

Oh, and yes, this is not on topic again, but just to back up what I'm trying to say is this:

Jays own words:

"I am not going to go back and give Anthony or Jim warning points if for no other reason than I'm sick of all of the bellyaching about how unjustly you're being treated.

You've already "made Rich aware" of how "unfairly" you're being treated, and how everyone else deserves warning points as well, but he chose to not do anything about it. If one of the other moderators wishes to do so, then that's up to them, but as I said...I will not. "

He even admits how biased he is, and up to now NOONE that posted in FAVOR of Anthony has gotten points for posting in a worse way then others did, that DID get points, for BS reasons, like no subject, not on topic, etc.

But my point is made, my points are "taken", and I'm out.

Well, I do see the points brought up here, and have to admit that there does need to be some division between a moderator and the person behind the job. So I have come up with what I hope is a viable solution to be placed into effect immediately:

Best I can come up with, off the cuff, is that anyone that is personally involved in a thread cannot also be a moderator of that thread. You have to choose one or the other. If you are participating as a member, with your own viewpoints and own opinions, then you cannot also act as a moderator within that thread. Once you start assessing warning points to people who disagree with you, whether it is true or not, it gives the appearance of abuse of your position as a moderator.

I think this is fair, but I am open to criticism and discussion. If it looks like it may get involved, please start a new thread in the FaunaClassifieds Feedback forum so we don't clutter up this thread in the process.
