Hello all....well i was just curious if anyone dealt with Anthony Caponetto before?Ive been talking(via e-mail) with him for about a week or so and i decided on a gecko i wanted to purchase from him.He gave me a good price and was willing to hold it for me until i sent a payment.Well he never updated his site and someone bought the gecko i wanted as well as 2 others.He e-mailed me apologizing and gave me a hell of a deal on two equaly nice looking geckos for the same price as the one that i originally wanted which was 155 dollars shipped.Anthony stated that he wouldnt be able to ship out the cresteds the 11th of Oct. because he was leaving the Fri. before to go to the Chicago show and wasnt returning till Mon. am. So i sent him an e-mail stating i would send out the full payment Fri. the 11th next day air so it would for sure be there when he got back.Shipping is supposed to be Tues. the 12th for delivery to my place the 13th.I contacted u.p.s and the money order was recieved....its just weird that he hasnt e-mailed me stating that he got my money order.Has anyone dealt with this guy because i never have, and the deal he gave me almost sounded too good too be true at the time and man i really hope it wasnt.Just getting nervous like i always do before getting something delivered from an unknown breeder. Anyone got any info? Thanks so much in advance !!!

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Regardless of what has been said and/or done and whether he's right, your right, or you guys are all wrong, I must say that as far as his business goes and the way he deals with his customers, I would put my own reputation on the line for his. He's been nothing but nice and honest in my experience over the last few years. No one said he ever went to etiquette school and at times, that may show. But it doesn't take way from what he provides to his customers.

I wasnt trying to grudge up any old conflict with anyone...i was just curious on everyones input on weather he was a decent guy or not.I cant say hes a bad guy because he hasnt been anything but respectful to me and went out of his way to make me a good deal.All i wanted to know was what everyones input that had DEALT with Anthony on a customer-seller basis...thanks for the input.

He is a very good guy.He is a man of his word.I was at the Tinley Park show and he was there we had drinks on Sunday night.They left late.He will take care of you trust me.His geckos kick ASS i have a few of them,they are some of the best i have.
ive been to his site and both the geckos im hoping to purchase are on hold still.I figured he might have been late getting back and as far as i can say ive only heard the one complaint about Anthony.He does have some of the best looking animals ive seen to date.Im hoping to do some more buisness in the future...well depending on how this goes of course.Thanks for your two cents, i appreciate it.

You've never heard any complaints from people concerning their purchases from Anthony. He's simply one of the good guys and takes the relationships with his customers and his relationships with other gecko breeders very seriously. Not to mention he has arguably the best geckos around...
I’ve written and I’ve spoken it numerous times (all needlessly) – Anthony is the best! He counts among his cohorts the vast majority of his reptile peers (I met and talked with many of them this weekend).

Anthony just bought some reptiles from me. He is a man of his word. I received the payments on time and when he said I would. Theres nothing else I hate when someone says I will send you the money tomorrow and you never receive it. Anyways he waited patiently until the reptiles were feeding well and established since one was a hatchling which shows he cares about their health and well being. Hope this helps.

I thought I posted about Anthony in another thread but perhaps not. I've purchased animals from him in the past and everything went perfectly. He even let my girlfriend harass him with questions via email. I'd buy from him again in a heartbeat.

I bought a knobtail from Anthony awhile back. It was an online purchase with local pick-up. I got to have a tour of his collection. I have to say that I was impressed with the set-up. I've visited other breeder facilities before, and his is one of the best. I'm not just talking cleanliness but actually making sure the needs of all the animals are met.
He was also nice enough to buy me a bag of playsand and carry it out to my car.

It's been a busy weekend. I decided to take it easy Sunday night and unwind before making the eight hour drive back home from Chicago. We got a late start leaving today due to the fact that we had to go rent a trailor, so that some friends to bring a load of cages home. It's 4:45 am and I just finished unpacking new animals, setting up their cages and getting fresh hatchlings out of the incubator and setting them up. I'm still not completely unpacked, but but the geckos will definitely be there Wednesday.
I'll email the tracking number to you tomorrow evening.
