In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any one deal with Wild Exoctics..Nancy Crouton?

I dunno, I was pretty tired when I replied to this thread yesturday, and going over it again I find it odd how hostile this individual responded..... VERY unprofessional. Something is definately amis, and even if this person is a seperate entity from bearded pets, I'm fairly certain they have blown any creditibilty they may have had straight out the door with these responses. Too many loopholes and unanswered questions. Too many statements contridict themselves..... It just seems like a pile of excuses for things that should not have happened, even if done by the slowest of reptile hobbyists. I've had amateur sellers package and ship to me before, and guess what? They shipped exactly what I ordered. They didnt blame problem on a "REPTILE EXPERT" son who cannot even package a simple order correctly. We all know that one is BS for sure...... even the most incompitent of all degenerates can slap a snake on a scale and read what it says. Let me guess, the scale was broken? This is just a pile of excuses for misrepresenting what was sold, hiding personal information, and many other things...... It sure would be nice to get straight answers WITHOUT the hostility or BS. Wouldnt it? If this person has nothing to hide and nothing to defend than this hsould be no problem.

It seems like everyone with a few snakes now has a "business"...but the teenager-reptile-expert really kills me ! She told him to package up snakes that were two to three days late for shipping, but he didn't know which ones, and SHE DIDNT CHECK ?????? Yikes.
Everytime I see someone else with a business card stating they are a "reptile dealer" and it turns out they had a w/c boa churn out ten babies last year, I just have to laugh...why does she need to be "wildlife exotics" or whatever?

Everyone would like to profit from their hobbies or interests, especially people interested in keeping exotics. Unfortunately you get alot of these fly by night types and scammers every season as well. I cannot speak for Wild Exotics, but so far things definately do not add up.....

I am also new to this business....

I am also currently starting to breed my snakes and will be forming a business to do this soon. I couldnt imagine treating my customers this way. Does Nancy plan to have more customers, ever? With her antagonistic attitude in her very first post here it doesnt appear that she wants to solve the issue, just make negative comments about everyone involved in the discussion. I have also heard of the "I'm not shipping them, somone else is shipping them for me" game and its usually a sign of a scammer. ( Not always, but usually.) The BOI is VERY big and ALOT of potential customers will come to "check out" the new guys ( even some of the "old guys") and find this thread.

Joshua, it sounds like you have your plans headed in the right direction...if you are going to seriously get into the the trade, it would be a very good idea to pick up a few business classes...101 will keep you from making the same mistakes as people like this one, and ensure a profitable career !
You may also want to contact some established breeders and "pick their brains"...I think you will find almost all of them to be friendly and helpful...and experience is worth more than a ton of reading...

You're already a better person. Congrats.

No.

Yes, usually scammers make habbits of highlighting issues with others to take attention off themselves. Ancient Chinese Secret.

Bingo.

"She" will realize this much too late, and even if she does have the nerve to post again, you can be certain theres much more where all of this came from............

Thanks for the advice.

I have taken a few courses :no01: and I plan on starting to go to a few local reptile shows ( to talk to local breeders and such...) at the end of this month. :)

To be honest, I dont plan to be "one of the big guys" or even a middle guy. I just want my snakes to pay for themselves and have a little bit left over at the end of the year to pay the taxes on the extra $$.

She called me, we are going to ship the incorrect snakes back to her on tuesday for wednesday, and then on wednesday when she receives them, she is going to ship out the right snakes to me for thursday.

Also, I'm requesting a comparitive IP check on Wild Exotics. Any matches?

These three have all posted from the same IP with Wild Exotics being the last.

Chris1980 - Florida
odatria - California
WildExotics - South Carolina

This is the problem with Dynamic IP's. I am in no way implying these three are the same people. It is my opinion that they are NOT.

It is interesting though that Wild Exotics thought it was necessary to leave work, were she has said she can receive and respond to emails, and post her defense from a Kinko's. Why not post from work or better yet, respond from home? Why taking the time and expense to go to Kinko's to post? What is she trying to hide?

On Tough Sale

I do have a few references I could dig up and bring here. I just started in the reptile business so this whole thing is new to me I have always kept reptiles but never sold them until a few months ago

I think, that in itself is the hardest part to digest. You go from just starting in the business to offering 500 breeding pairs of gravid balls, to a front page store ad, not following the basic rule of thumb "communication" and or making yourself available, to ruining your first documented sale withing this community, and then defending a sale that still hasn't been made right. Who is the importer??

This person may if fact be the real deal, but is it Error, or an Equation for disaster?? JMT

OK,
Well, all of you guys here, I need your opinions. I have the 5 underweight snakes that her "assistant" messed up on, and I will be sending those snakes back on tuesday. She SHOULD be sending the 5 correct weighted snakes back on wednesday for thursday. If you guys were in my position, and you saw all this happening, what would you do, send the snakes back, or maybe cut my losses? I'm not going to list all the possibilities, because anything can happen, just wondering your opinions on what I should do.

Over a week

Based on the information you provided, this deal is in the start of the second week. It should have been fixed the very next day. Send them back and get your money back, as it was of no fault of your own. The animals sent were not the animals purchased (as you stated and she concurred) and as they were represented. That IMO equals 100% refund including shipping costs.

If that is the avenue you chose, hopefully you will receive exactly what you are entitled too.

There are of reputable people here that could have very well put a deal together for you. Hopefully you will find one. A good deal as youv'e seen doesn't always equal a Good Deal.

Good Luck,

Jeff & Starr
