    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had hoped for the best..

I had hoped for the best but we all found out that this is one person none of us will ever deal with. Racism has no place in todays society. One would think that he will have a hard time keeping his business going now.
I hope we all learned from this thread that if you have done wrong it will be found out. Hopefully we will learn from it, what we learned i dont know yet.

I didn't think keeping things civil was worthy of punishment.

Everyone else was allowed to post any and all of thier comments because its a open forum, but i am nagging if i try to help.

Adam, I hope you change your ways and see people for who they are and not what color they are.

Those are not from the moderators. Besides I don't think a moderator would say a member was nagging. The rep points are given by fellow posters. They can be given from all of us regular people. You can give them. On the very lower left area of each message, straight down below where your info is (like name, where you live etc.) are 3? icons, one is a little dot that is silver if the member is offline-green if member is online, one is like a "!" to report a violation that is in a post to the moderators (such as cussing, or threats, or whatever) the one in the middle, the silver looking one, you can click it and a box shows up. If you are clicking on that icon on one of your own posts it will give your total points, and whether you are positive or negative, based on any "votes" by members. If no one has "voted" it says "you are even on this thread". If you click on the icon of someone else's post you can then "vote" whether you agree or disagree with this posters opinion, and an area for the comments. If it was from a moderator, it would be in the warning points section which is higher up near your logged in info, besides, as you state it is an open forum, and they would not have docked you any points, except for obvious violations, such as cussing, not including your full name etc.

That said.......while it is commendable that you post for people to keep a cool head, you did stress it a little to much, seems like every third post or something. Then when someone asked Pete if he "did or did not ship via Delta Dash" which is a very pertinent question involving legalities that affect our hobby, as well as the posters credibility and ethical stance, you posted "don't answer that Pete, everyone will get worse" or something to that affect, I just think that that is a very pertinent question that should have been answered, for the overall safety of our hobby, as well as the posters own reputation, reagarding whether BOI members would like to do business with him.

I'll get off my soap box now. :unhappy:

Yes, that is a pretty accurate description of what the reputation points are. The moderators are much more likely to use the warning point system, but they certainly are not restricted from using the reputation point system as well. In most cases, people will assess reputation points as a pat on the back for a particularly well written or informative posting you have made. Some may be inclined to post negative points if your post is in the opposite direction of their own opinions.

That being said, I have restricted the reputation points display for regular members in a fashion. Contributing Members here can not only see the reputation comments and points made, but can also see who it was that gave them the points.

But for the record, Adam has been suspended from this site, and on top of that he has been restricted from re-registering via ficticious logons by having his IP address banned. Those extra registrations he had made have been deleted from the system for attempting to bypass the suspension.
 
To answer everyone's question, especially that from DAND, and for my mutual respect of the hobby. The item in question was shipped Delta Dash, however, I not a Registered Shipper with the airline as my business remains for non-venomous reptiles.

I was actually going to end this discussion by placing a photo of the Delta receipt, however, my digital camera is in non-working condition. I feel that such proof was unnecessary, but for the sake of the hobby and my mutual respect for the many herpers involved, I have complied.

I remind you, I have rights and I have the right to remain silent to any and all accusations or assumptions, so consider the issue at hand solved. I am aware that further questions may arise, and one of them probably being how I shipped not being a registered Delta shipper. Fortunately, I have good relationships with certain individuals both within the herp community and the airline staff. Therefore, I will refrain from disclosing any account or company information to protect their business.

It is very convenient that the camera isn't working and that you are choosing to exercise your 5th amendment rights. The length of your explanation just throws up more red flags. Not to mention it sounds like you are going out of your way to protect your airline staff and herp community relationships. Why do you feel that you have to "protect" them? Was there something illegal or wrong that transpired because of this transaction that you feel the need to "protect" them? If not, then there is no reason to "protect" them then is there?
 
Personally, I don't think a person should be banned for their behavior within an inquiry thread about them.

Why stop them from harming their reputations further?

Its when they disrupt the rest of the site that they need to be controlled...

Thanks for the explanation john, i wasnt aware thats how the reputation system worked. If would have known that before Adam :dgrin: got banned I could of helped put him in negative numbers for his ignorance of the world around him.
Thanks to every one else for the emails and other things. The man upstairs ( not my son in his attic room) has a way of taking care of those that try to help others.
I wish there was a way to reach out to adam to show him that he is on the wrong path and that its not to late to change.
webslave - I know that adam was banned/suspended but i see that he still has active classified ads on here as well, will he be allowed to continue doing business here???

P.S. Everyone please check your local laws before you make a unecessary mistake and hurt the hobby!!!!!!

Why not send me a SASE to my mailing address and I'll deliver you a copy, provided you send a copy of a warrant signed by a judge. That's the only way you'll get my information. I answer to no one without a badge.

Liar liar pants on fire. I got 20 on it saying you are lying about this "delta dash reciept". Since the transaction IS over, you could just take a marker, cross out the personal info of Adam, except his name, and then show it. Cause before you said you didn't ship anything, then you did, and now you did through Delta, the whole time evaiding any kind of heat.

Micki, you're missing the whole point here. You see, the point is I don't have to answer your questions, yet somehow I manage to do so with the exception of releasing such information regarding the actual shipment.

You're right, I never stated I shipped anything prior to my last post that states I did. Everyone just made the "assumption" I actually shipped something, and later I stated that everything was shipped the correct way on my part. Refusing to show you or anyone else my personal information regarding this transaction isn't wrong, but you can judge on it.

I offer no venomous reptiles for sale anywhere I conduct business, I solely deal with tarantulas and scorpions as stated on my website. Once again, until I see an official badge and a signed warrant I will comply. Then again, anyone can call on authorities for any reason. And so can I.

This thread discussion is over on my end.

Pete we all know you are full of it. You have shown your lack of character with your willingness to continue to lie. Your changing of the story is clear for all to see. I'm sure one day someone will inquire about you on the BOI and I will be sure to direct them to this thread. Maybe I should start that thread and ask if anybody has ever received any venomous snakes from you and what form of shipping you used. I'd bet your buddy Adam would even provide some info for us seeing that your relationship has gone south. Maybe I'll e-mail him and ask who you shipped with.

While I may not agree with all of the things Peter has done since he joined this site, he has never come across as someone who would be untruthful. I think the question has been both asked and answered and it is time to put the issue to rest. This thread has done ir's job by exposing an individual of a type that none of us want to see connected in any way to this industry we all enjoy.

I think it is time to move on.

That is my opinion for what it is worth
 
Ya know pete, I've read this thread, possibly missing a post or two here and there as I did not read it everyday however, I DO recall you saying you shipped a sidewinder.

How did you ship it?
If it was through delta you have a tracking number. Post the number.
If you didn't you're up the creek without the proverbial paddle.

In Ca. you cannot get a permit for venomous reptiles WITHOUT TWO YEARS experiance keeping them under the SUPERVISION of a VENOMOUS PERMIT HOLDER.

My guess is you don't have the two years. My guess is you shipped that sidewinder through some other means than Delta. My guess is you are now smelling that pile you stepped in a while ago.

Post some proof please. If you're working with kids and hots you need to be a little more forthcoming in what you have and how you keep it as well as how you ship out.

By the way, being a member of the Southwestern Herp. Society, of which I am a member as well, does NOTHING in any way to give you the legal means to keep any venomous reptiles. It's a club, not a state sactioned affiliate of the Dept. of Fish and Game.

Is anyone else getting a wiff of Tunafish now? The smell seems to be getting stronger as this thread gets longer.
 
If you are familiar with the process then you should have no problem posting that tracking number for the sidewinder you sent to adam.

If you didn't send it Delta, how did you send it.

I'm very curious now. Especially since you seem to be making some sort of mockery out of the legitimate inquiries that have been made of you.

I'm glad you have DASH tape. I used to "borrow" a roll every now and then too, back when I was shipping a lot and using delta. Sometimes, they's even give them to me along with the other paper work.

Proof please.

Then what is being sent via Delta? Since you have already said that you have accounts with UPS, FedEx and DHL why would you have to use Delta if you don't sell venomous reptiles as you stated before?
