has anyone ever dealt with hank molts global herp? the reason i ask is that its been 10 weeks since i sent him $$$ for some female gila monsters, and to this day all i get is excuses as to why he didnt ship. the last time he e-mailed me he said he would send my $$$$ back but i havent seen anything from that e-mail either, in 1 e-mail he told me i had a short fuse, after waiting for the animals for 8 weeks. i told him just my patience was short. at this point im ready to turn him in to the fbi internet fraud site! thanks spider!

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have never bought from Hank, although people have told me he could be trusted...I have talked to him on a few occasions and I would have not hesitated to buy from him....sorry this isn't an iron clad experience, just thought I would write since no one else has.

My experience is that he almost never has any of the animals on his stocklist. Fortunately in my case, he kept stalling and telling me not to send money. I bagged the deal after a couple of months of runaround. I haven't heard of him ripping anyone off though, so I suspect you'll either get your animals or your money back.

I bought a A. scutatus from him in person at Hamburg once, but that's the only way I've found you can buy from him. He never has anything on his website available, and I've tried 5 or 6 times. I don't know how much this goes toward your question, but thought I would chime in.

well, now the situation is in the hands of the fbi that handles internet fraud for non delivery of goods, they are going to call him and find out why he hasnt sent any animals or sent back my $$$$$. if anyone wants to see proof ive saved all of the e-mail that he has sent me! later spider!

I want to see proof..... Hank stocks alot of animals but he also post animals for sale that he is not keeping himself..... Hank is a great guy and anything you get from him is top notch..... Cool out, you will get what you ordered....... He has never ripped of anyone I know..... I have never even seen a negative post until now......

10 weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to wait. Unless he told you beforehand that it would take a long time and has some extremely good reasons, I think you have every right to be upset and have your money returned.

Simple solution that takes a couple minutes, tell him to go to the post office and overnight your money or go to the airport and overnight your animals. And yes, Hank is one of those guys who puts out a huge stock list of other peoples animals and often will try to sell them first then obtain them and ship them. When he does shows he has very little inventory.

i do agree with bill (thats a first), if your going claim you cried for them while some died and everything else. you seem a little too willing to part with some more now.

Good for you Spider. You have every right to be peeved and take action if the story is as you told it. And based on my own run-around with Molt, I have little doubt that your story is 100% true.

if you want proof please e-mail me and i can provide it! also he always says he is going to ship the animals only to call a week or two after he said hes shipping and gives me an excuse why he didnt. he told me he had the animals in south carolina. but he couldnt ship from there delta dash because he wasnt a known shipper in s carolina and also because he just moved down there. it just so happens i called delta air cargo where i would pick up freight and they told me if your a known delta shipper you can ship from any delta air cargo terminal in the world. He said he couldnt, but was leaving on monday for orlando to ship said gilas on tuesday, he told me on the phone he would call me and give me flight numbers and arrival times, so i waited, no phone call with shipping info. on the 11th of october is when i recieved the serious back injury excuse e-mail! i talked to a fella out in new yorktoday that said they saw him at the pennsylvania show with a table set up. he has time to run all over the place using my money to buy animals in quantity, but he doesnt have the time to put 2 gilas in a box and get them on a flight and shipped. spider! maybe to some 10 weeks isnt long to wait but if it was you it would seem like eternity

I have known Hank probably longer
than anyone on this forum, and he has not changed. He seems to be in a world that does not make sense sometimes. Many of the posts are correct, he buys and sells other peoples products, and uses other peoples money. But that seems to be the norm for Hank when he conducts business. He does not intentionally go out of his way to steal or not meet his commitments.
The difficulty with doing business with Hank is that you never REALLY know if he has what you are looking for or he has to get it. By that time a potential buyer has already sent the money, and Hank is off on another venture. Always catching up to his prior commitments. A poor business man he may be, but not a thief. Hopefully he will get around to sending you what you paid for, and should have received , if he advertised it. Hank does have an obligation to the buyer considering that payment was made in advance, and the animals in question should have been shipped immediately, or at the very least as soon as Hank procurred them!

I spoke with Hank Molt at the October 16th Hamburg Show and he was telling me a story about his partner Tim Cole from Mad Reptiles taken $25,000.oo worth of his animals. He told me there was talk on some forums about this incident but I could not find anything. Does anyone know about this and if so can you post threads of which forums this was being discussed?
At any rate Hank should have shipped your order or sent you a full refund weeks ago regardless of his personal problems.

Hanks a good guy, definitely not a theif but he should have come thru already, 10 weeks is a long time.
I recieved an email a couple of weeks ago from Hank that was sent out to alot of breeders talking about how he was ripped off at Daytona this year for boku bucks. Apparently this person promised to sell off some of Hank's European partner's stock but just disappeared instead with alot of high end venomous and a few other animals...
Maybe this is the reason for the delay, maybe not...but I do't blame you for being upset, 10 weeks and 2 Gilas on the line is alot. I hope you get your stuff or money soon!

i never said he was a bad guy or a thief. a buyer shouldnt have to wait 10 weeks to have stuff shipped to them for whatever the reason. if you want the e-mail forwarded that he sent me about madd reptiles and the stuff he lost i saved it! matter of fact i have all the e-mails he sent me about the issue of the gilas and my $$$$$$ ! thanks spider!

Spider. Just a heads up. Until the e-mails are posted here on the BOI its hearsay. I am not saying your wrong and beleive in fact your probably are having this difficulty. But all to often readers have seen the hearsay here and until the proof is posted it makes it a one sided story at best. So please stop bringing up the e-mails unless your going to post them for all to see and read out in public.
