    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Anyone Ever Purchased from CV Exotics?

no need to worry about scott! both of my boas are from him, and there are beautiful healthy animals, and were so when i got them a few years ago. he packs his animals with care, and follows up on them for awhile after they are recieved. its been a couple of years since ive spoken to him, but he is very friendly and more than willing to answer any questions! :)
 
I bought a boa from CV Exotics during one of White Plains, NY Expos. She's beautiful and very healthy. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.
 
I've bought a few animals from Scott, all of them very high quality. I would not hesitate doing business with him again.

Scott set my wife up with an Albino Ball for my birthday that is absolutely fantastic. Scott didn't have anything listed on the site for sale and when my wife call him and asked, he let go one he was keeping for himself. Not to mention the other animals that we have purchased from him that are flawless. He is a fantastic person and his reptiles are second to none. Would not worry about anything with CV Exotics, he takes this stuff serious.

i have got a few snakes from scott.
the first one i got from him was in 06 a female bumblebee on a payment plan i got the snake she was around 600 grams!
i got some black back albinos from him also in 07 very nice animals!

i would definately deal with him again.:thumbsup:

I have purchased many Ball Pythons from Scott Seavey over the last 5-7 years and I have to say Scott is top knotch in all categories. Customer service is great, shipping and packing can't be beat. I have always been happy with anything from Scott.

I think you will be happy with any purchase from CV Exotics.

It sounds as though Scott is a great person to deal with, with high quality animals. I still haven't completely decided to buy another snake just yet (still considering an '09 at the moment), but if I do, I certainly won't hesitate to contact Scott about his animals.

My boyfriend bought a bumblebee from CV Exotics this past winter. We saw an ad online and traveled up to the store to check em out. They were very nice to us and let us have a look around at all the bees before we chose one. He was reasonable about the price for the time, but unfortunately the competative prices for bees have come down in the last month or so. Regardless, we bought the bee and feeders from CV Exotics and had no problems with the dealings.

I have been in the reptile hobby since I was a child roaming the farmlands of middle Tennessee (I am 43 now). I never knew there was so much hate, discontent, and suspicion of wrong doing within the herp community. Why have forums like this if you see a "scam" around every corner? I understand being diligent in one's search for a much desired animal and checking the background of the person or business from which you are buying. What I have a hard time with is the apparent moderator(s) of a few forums having a God complex in that they feel they must touch on many or most of the posts within their domain with what amounts to very little valuable information. I have seen numerous post's stating they have been censured due to not having last names yet I look over at the signature avatar and there is their first and last name. Just food for thought. This is a very nice venue for like minded people to share in a wonderful hobby. I just hate to see it ruined by heavy handed despotic moderation.

Your words are so true Raymond! I have been coming to this site since the very beginning and I rarely post, its nice to have a place like this to receive information. But somewhere along the way things have gone wrong! Only advice I can recommend is dealing with reputable breeders, I learned along time ago thats the safest and most secure route to go. Have you considered that perhaps the person learned from their mistake and put their first and last names by their avatar or in their signature? Once those are changed in the user's CP, they are changed for every post the person has ever made.
 
I got a 07 Female Anery Boa 100% Het Snow for them last year and the deal went great and couldnt be happier with my snake.
 
I purchased one of Scott's blackback albino hets and am very pleased with how the transaction went. Scott was very easy to deal with, and got the snake to me quickly. Good guy!
 
I purchased 2 Orange Ghost females from CV Exotics in 2003. Scott went out of his way to meet up with me to get me the animals and I've been extremely happy with them.

I go into Scott's store all the time, about once a week. I get feeders from him, hang out, yack about whatever, and they show me stuff that I don't know anything about. He's always been very helpful and open. I bought a carpet python from him last fall, and everything has been fine with her.

He's a good guy in my book.
