    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi All,
Here's the story thus far:
1. I posted an ad for certain Milk snake I was looking for. I get a response from "gracie" Alias Diana Mason from Rare Earth Exotics, and reply in kind to her. She offers the snake to me for $50. agreeing to let DHL bill me in the future for the shipping. She says she can only take money orders right now so the next day I send a USPS money order for $50. to her.

Okay about 10 days have gone by now and I emailed her asking her to let me know when it arrives, also to let me know when she will ship as I am only home two days of the week anyway and those would be perfect days.

No answer.

I email her again a few days later and...No answer

I PM her the next day and no answer, I can see she read my PM as well.

Since then she answered none of my inquiries. I was just concerned about delivery because I wanted to be home to guarantee live safe dlivery.

Needless to say I start to worry. So yesterday I called her....as soon as she asks who I am and I tell her she hangs up!!!!! :angry: (or we get cut off???)

I call her back immediately and it goes to messaging of course! I leave a message very calm and cool asking for the info I requested in email and stating, for her to call me and clarify whether it was her phone dying or she hung up on me and why.

I email her some more and NOTHING.

What should I do? I have dealt with similar cases twice before. Once I went to Atlanta to confront the guy, needless to say I got my way in the end.
The other time I contacted the jerks local Police dept and also the USPS mail fraud dept. As well as the local DA mail fraud dept in his town. Within 2 weeks I had my goods and some ridiculous excuses.

I know it has only been 2 weeks but, she's in PA and the money would have been there pretty quickly. As well, it would have certainly been there by now. That she hung up on me is pretty clear and has refused to answer any emails or PM's.

I think it's time to put the pressure on here and on other reptile related forums. What say you?

Okay, after reading those other threads or as much as I could stomache, it's safe to say that I've ben taken for my $50. If I do not hear from Diana Mason or Rare Earth Exotics AKA gracie by Sunday on Monday I am filing every possible report I can file and use any legal measures possible first.

After that, I have no problems making my way to the Scranton/Wilkesbarre area and being Police escort if necesarry to Diana's home.

Diana, you have til Sunday and then I promise you for the measely $50. I will turn up the heat most definately. I am the last person to scam, trust me. :angry:

In the meantime, anyone reading this that has a pending transaction with this woman, I suggest you re think your purchase/trade and go with someone credible instead.

Thanks Junkyard! :thumbsup: She has until Monday. I called her Parents and of course no one was home. If they are like most parnts they will pressure her to make this right and with a little luck I will hopefully have an answer by Monday. If not, as I stated on their answering machine, I will contact the local authorities and they will often at least make a home visit to see/hear their end of the story.

That is usually enough to change things. We shall see...
 
With the abundance of prior scams already attributable to her, and you can be certain there are more, I would see no reason for optimism that anyone associated with her at any address would have a role that wouldn't include accomplice.
 
Just for clarification, Diana Mason and "Rare Earth Exotics" is in no way affiliated with Jason Kaline of "Rare Earth, Inc.", correct? I have read the latter is trustworthy and it would be a shame if there was a false association based on name similarities.

Shipping is done monday-wednesday through DHL. All shipping charges are billed to the reciever through DHL unless otherwise arranged. No DHL account is needed. Sex is garaunteed only where stated.

Garauntee
Live arrival garauntee to the lower 48 to temps below 80 degrees and above 40 degrees. All DOA's must be reported within 12 hours of delivery and returned at the buyers expense within 48 hours. After vet examination prooves fault, all money's will be refunded or replacment animal sent. No live arrival garauntee on amphibians.

Very sad! I had an excellent dealing with her. Although her previous threads should have led me to think twice. I met her in person though so it was good
 
With all of the previous threads about this person, it seems reasonable to assume that this was a scam from the beginning. I just find it odd that someone with those intentions would insist on payment via a Postal Money Order.

That's a very dangerous game she is playing.

"It is unlawful to offer for sale, trade or barter reptiles and amphibians (except snapping turtles) taken from the wild in PA. This includes the animals alive or dead, whole or in parts including eggs or any lifestage."

She is definately in violation of this statute.

To be fair, the links to the threads I posted are in order from oldest to the more recent. While I’m still trying to figure out where she received her “magic, healing mice” from, in one of the earlier threads’, she has positive threads the last couple of years. Until now.

To clarify, this was a note to state both the buyer and seller were made aware of (by other posters) what needed to be done to sell this snake in accordance with state laws. As to any accuracy to the laws, as quoted in that thread, I didn’t check.
