Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks for posting that. I definitely wasn't trying to use this forum for self promotion, and I realized after I re-read my post that it may have looked that way.

You've got some great stuff. If I were in need of any of the items I would certainly prefer to put the money in your hands over a complete stranger. Besides, having a direct link to your auctions is much better than weeding through all the other auctions for slightly used college girl panties and thongs....washed per ebays standards of course. ;)

Chuck,
That was a pretty tasteless statement. Aprylla is a proven businesswoman and deserving of more respect then that. I think an apology is in order.

Exactly Aprylla. I think only one ebay seller to another could appreciate what I stated.

Hey Mike, about two weeks ago Mrs. Critical Bill says if I'm on ebay buying or selling anything to keep an eye out for a good deal on a pair of thong sandals for around the pool. Let me just say...you go do a keyword search with the word "thong" on ebay and see what you come up with. I blushed. Do a search on socks. Yeah...freaks have used socks for sale too. A good pair of smelly socks could fetch a better price than some hi end geckos.

By the Way, Ritchie has over 3,700 posts and a rep power of 97. That should instill confidence in a buyer, yet his proposal is:
Sell the snakes to someone else and keep his &*^% money.
Lets see, Isn't that the exact thing I stated I was trying to protect myself from?!!!

Thanks for making my point for me Ritchie, you have shown the exact situation I have been trying to express to everyone my thoughts led me to believe COULD have happened.
1. I did not mean it.... I was just mad. I posted that AFTER EVERYTHING she has gone through.
2. You thought of that situation since the beginning and have been acting upon it. I only thought of that situation as a concequence of your actions from the beginning.

3. THIS IS NOT WHAT I SAID ------>Sell the snakes to someone else and keep his &*^% money.

THAT IS WHAT I SAID ----->With all the problems he caused you.
The chain reactions he caused for the rest of your customers.
The obvious not caring.
And the selfishness that you gotta think of him in the middle of your evacuation.......
with all of that in the mix....... I would sell his snakes to someone else and keep his d@mn money.

you were saying it is because of my suggestion that you were acting the way you did.
I say it was because of your actions that I suggested it.

means to an end.
end to a means?

anyway as I ALREADY said. I did not mean it.

besides it does not matter if I meant it or not..... because this transaction is still between you and her.

I just wanted to add that I received my animals from Aprylla yesterday, very healthy I might add. I sent and received several e-mails to her about these snakes. I grew up in Florida and have been through many hurricaines so I know that the event and the cleaning up afterwards can take time. I felt she was honest with me and I felt it was imortant for me to let the BOI and its readers "hear" that...Helane Howlett

She also got me the same way. I purchased 7 ball python females from her and it took a month for her to ship them to me. When I got them there were only 4 of the seven and out of the four two were emaciated and died the next day. So I filed a complaint with paypal to get my money back. She emails me saying that she can't ship my 7 replacements because of a hold on her credit card because of the complaint. She then asked me to remove the complaint and she would send them ASAP. So I did, and I have not got them yet. Here are some emails from her to prove this.

I will have the other snakes (the ones you were
supposed to have received) back in my possession
tomorrow morning. I should be able to send them out
tomorrow afternoon for Wednesday AM delivery.

However, this mess with the PayPal complaint now has
my FedEx account messed up. My FedEx shipping account
is linked to my PayPal debit card. Since the
complaint, *all* of the funds in my PayPal account are
being held. When FedEx tried to charge my card today
for the packages shipped last week, it was declined
(because of the funds hold on PayPal). So now my
FedEx account is also now "on hold" because the
credit/debit card I pay it with won't go though and I
don't have another one.

I can either send you the snakes (at my expense of
coarse) when I receive them back (I am willing to send
all 7, plus you keep the 2 healthy ones you received),
or send you the refund. However, I can't do either
unless the complaint on my PayPal account is
cancelled.

If you don't want to cancel the complaint that's fine
too, it will just have to process and take the next 10
to 14 days to go though investigation, etc. I will
just have to figure out how to get my FedEx account
back since I was supposed to have sent out 3 more
packages today and now I can't due to all this mess.

Please let me know what you want to do.

Thanks.

Yes, I was going to e-mail everyone tonight actually
that I am shipping to (I have 3 other packages needing
to go out as well). Monday is *perfect* here as well
since our temps will be in the mid-80's with a MUCH
lower heat index. :)

Will contcat you on Sunday afternoon/evening with your
tracking number.

THANKS!!!

Sounds like more than one reason for concern, since this issue involved replacement animals, an incomplete order, and some communication and time-line issues. From all that has transpired in the previous 200+ posts, I'm inclined to believe that Aprylla will be in touch with you shortly, that she would want to correct these snafus as quickly as she is able, and that whatever the outcome, it will be addressed here. Would hope it doesn't take 200+ posts.

This guyhas not told the whole story here, but yes, there has been a series of problems with his purchase, through no fault of his own. I am not going to go through the mess of explaining much of it, this mess happening at/around the same time as the rest of this (all during the hurricane fiasco).

What I will say about this particular situation is that there was a mistake with the package sent to this guy in the first place. The box that was supposed to be shipped to him was shipped to a friend of mine to whom I was giving 2 of my baby ball pythons that I didn’t sell because they weren’t feeding properly, and gave her 2 really nice ones that I owed her from a trade we had done previously. This guy was aware of that, and was also aware that I would get the matter handled for him as well. That is why he originally received 2 healthy snakes, and 2 that were not in very good condition, which he reported to me had subsequently died (and had sent photos).

When we shipped on Monday, I was under the impression that everything that was supposed to go out did go out (11 or 12 packages) and everyone was sent their proper tracking number. I had to have Damien (my fiancee) help me because I have been sick as a dog these past few days. Damien told me everything went out, but apparently there were 3 total errors with a total of about 30 reptiles in all (of all types and species). I am NOW aware of these errors and am trying to correct them ASAP.

Just for future reference, and in case anyone else decides to join in on this post, here are the errors made this past Monday (as I would rather get everything out in the open and settle it in the open so there are no more suprises).

1) Mr. Bennet, the one who posted above, received no package. I have my copy of the shipping form here, but there is no record with FedEx as to it being shipped. I am still trying to figure out what happened because his package went out, but now I have no idea who it went to, so now on top of everything else I have 7 snakes apparently "missing" here. I will also contact him privately to work this matter out.

2) A man in Georgia (I will not name him unless he chooses to become part of this post) only received 2 of his 10 reptiles he purchased. Someone else apparently got his 10. I have e-mailed the people whom may have received his reptiles in error and hope that someone is honest enough to come forward and tell me they got 10 instead of the lower number they were to have received. He is aware of this issue and we are working on a conclusion, which unless someone comes forward with the reptiles, will be a refund.

3) A small Savannah Monitor I was to ship to a guy in Washington State didn't get shipped at all. The shipping form I had filled out is missing, and he received no package either. I am contacting him privately to set up a new date to ship.

If anyone reading this who received a reptile(s) Tuesday got more than they purchased, or got the *wrong* reptile(s) PLEASE contact me ASAP, preferably via e-mail, privately, so that we can work things out to get everything straight. E-mails have also been sent out to anyone who might be affected.

Yes, I take full responsibility for the 3 errors. I don't know exactly what happened, but Monday was chaos here and I was able to do very little. Damien is trying to help me all he possibly can, but is also now working full time plus overtime (thank God) and I should have known better than to have him handle things on Monday. He is a fully capable human being, but he is not a "reptile person", the reptiles have always been "my thing" and he doesn't even care much for snakes at all. It appears that he mis-read and mis-understood the instructions I gave him regarding the packages needing to be shipped. I realize there is no excuse for what happened, and I am not attempting to make excuses, only to post what occurred here. As I said, I take 100% responsibility for the errors which occurred.

Now, in case anyone is worried because I don't post to this thread *immediately* tomorrow if there are further replies, my medical situation has come to such that I am going to have to go to a doctor tomorrow morning. No I don't care to share what is wrong, but I will say that it is a condition that recurs when I get overly hot (and with no a/c in my car and me out trying to look for a job everyday, it only made me worse). I will be fine, but am pretty sure I need some antibiotics and some rest. I hate to have to "rest" but I've come to realize that I'm not going to get any better unless I nip this situation in the bud right away.

After all this mess I have been though, I am getting away from the reptiles and stuff for a while (and only keeping my mali uromastyxs which are pets). For at least as long as it takes me to get myself "back on my feet" both financially and health-wise. So no one has to worry about getting the wrong reptiles shipped to them or doing business with me in the near future. I am going to stick with looking for a regular job ASAP (and continuing with my Ebay sales until I have secured a regular job like I had a couple months ago, before everything went to H*e*l*l*).

I am totally disgusted with the way things have gone for me for the past month, and do realize that I have made errors along the way, for which I can only apologize and make things right with everyone whom I still owe a reptile (or funds) to, which are the 3 people listed above. I do *NOT* do business this way, and the people who know me do know that. I have had bad luck and bad circumstances and it is time for me to take a step back and get a handle on the chaos that has occurred during/since the hurricane season started. I am starting this process with moving (away from anywhere that there are hurricanes) as soon as it is financially possible, and trying to get things back on track before doing any business with reptiles again.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been affected by this mess and will make everything right with everyone involved.

I know I am going to get jumped on because I am a “newbie” but this isn’t actually the case. I have been around quite awhile. And I did read all the posts.

I am sorry Aprylla but you sound like a real flake. I know you have a good guy rating and all. This last shipping fiasco didn’t have anything to do with a hurricane, car breaking down or any of the previously mentioned excuses. This was just plain sloppy. In my business, not reptile related, we send out approximately 10 fedex packages a day. We rarely have a problem. Occasionally one might get there a day late but that’s it. You have live animals floating around in lala land with no where to land. They are just going to die dehydration. Personally I think this is inexcusable. I can’t see how anyone can defend this.

Reminds me of an old saying:

“If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging”
In my opinion you should stick with ebay.

You obviously have not read the post I made up there, or did not read it thoroughly enough. ALL of the reptiles were DELIVERED, they just have gotten into the wrong people's hands. There are no reptiles that are "going to die of dehydration", and there are none that are still in FedEx's hands or "floating around in la la land" as you put it. All of them have made it to a destination, I am now trying to sort out what went where, because everything has arrived, just not where it was supposed to be, some people just received some extra reptiles that I am trying to get back. Believe me, if FedEx had reptiles that we undelivered, I would have already had them reversed and sent back to me or went to pick them up if they were close enough. I checked all tracking numbers and all packages were signed for and delivered Tuesday.

Excuse me if I happen to be/have been sick and had to depend on someone else to handle this shipping for me. I couldn't hold off on shipping any longer, as I had several people who had paid for reptiles and obviously wanted to receive them ASAP. I have admitted there were 3 mistakes and am working diligently to correct those mistakes, and already have 1 of the 3 handled and am working on the other 2.

I am leaving to go to the doctor now, so I will not be around until late today most likely to answer anyone else's questions.

Aprylla?

Aprylla, you responded to me so I am answering you back. Aside from the fact that you really need help in the shipping department there seems to be some misleading going on.
On the same day you are refunding Mr. Gilbert his money because the ball pythons you have are so inferior you wouldn't ship them to anybody you're sending some to another guy. I suspect the 10 that were mislabeled were also ball pythons. So either you made a conscious decision to take these (quality) snakes from Mr. Gibert's order and send them elsewhere, or you consciously sent low quality snakes to these other people.

Kevin Murphy

Aprylla,

In all honesty I could certainly understand the whole hurricane issue, and was willing on giving you the benefit of the doubt. But now Kevin made a very good point that in my opinion deserves a straightforward reply. Just remember that one can not talk his way out of a problem he behave his way in (if not ask "BL") .

Regards.

Aprylla, I am curious if you had a lapse in communication with him and why?

No, there was no lapse in communication. As you can see from the e-mail that this guy himself posted that I sent him, the last time I e-mailed him was on July 29th to tell him when his package was being sent out package was to be sent August 1st). There was no reason for me to e-mail him again after that time. Up until the day that he posted here and also e-mailed me, I was not aware that he had not received his package. Damien had told me that he sent everyone their tracking number, so I was under the impression that everything was all set. I have since contacted him (Mr. Bennett) and am awaiting his response to my e-mail which I sent yesterday.

Thats better? Maybe for the reptiles well-being... but not from a business standpoint.

Yikes! Are you sure? Shipping is hard enough as it is. Now they will have to be shipped back to her and then shipped back again to the proper owner.

This does not look good. How do you mess up that bad?
