Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i bring my pictures to share and to show my animals are in "tip top" shape after some of the accusations.

i do my best with them and noone can honestly say otherwise .

like i said before , i WAS wrong to rush things , i should have taken the APTOR group out of QT in Feb. and bred them first . instead i took a risk and bred a newly aquired male w/ only one fecal exam , to established females . i will admit that , and take full responsibility if something were to go wrong . :bawling:

Apparently you didnt read through that entire thread or at the very least didnt understand it to the fullest extent.

Maybe you missed the part where this is a new morph and is priced as such.

Maybe you missed the part that this is a bonafide business for some people like myself whom pay taxes and claims this as an income.

Maybe you missed the part that I spent alot of money investing in this particular project.

Maybe you missed the part where there were only a limited number of these animals available to begin with.

Maybe you missed the part that selective selling/distributing ensures fair and just competition.

Maybe you missed the part that by selectively selling and distributing to ethical/morally conscious breeders, you ensure the longetivity and prosperous nature of the project/product.

Essentially by the posts you've made so far in this particular thread, the only thing I get is you believe its okay to undermine/circumvent certain criteria(s) that I and numerous other breeders/businesses put into place to ensure fair competition and just rewards for all involved. It doesnt seem to me that you have tried very hard to look beyond this entire situtation as anything more than a bunch of breeders/"Big Guys" offering animals at what you would consider overinflated prices so the "little guys" like yourself cant afford them.

Well I hate to break it to you...but if guys like me werent paying the thousands and thousands of dollars and selling animals for thousands and thousands of dollars...where would a guy like you even get the opportunity to start a fruitful "reptile business". Ya think this industry would sustain itself on $25.00 cornsnakes and $25.00 leopard geckos indefinitely?

Maybe you missed the point to my posts. So here is the bottom line.

I Think it is wrong to badmouth a breeder because he acquired a new morph that you were unwilling to sell to him.

I understand that this is a business for you. I understand that you have invested a good amount of money into your Mack Snow project. I understand that you have the right to refuse to sell for whatever reasons. I also understand how hard it is to make a living with animals. I did it from 1980 up till 1995ish.

I don't understand banding and belittling a fellow breeder because he found a way to obtain a morph that you refused to sell to him.

As for me I'll wait a year or two and get some Mack Snows when they are in the $100 to $300 range. I never said I can't afford them just that I can't justify the prices they are selling for at the moment. Yes you have every right to try and recoup your investment. But as it has been said how long do you think it will take for them to be every where. After all this is a co/incomplete-dominant trait. This is simply because I am a tight-wad so don't take it that I am whining about prices. I'm not and that was never the point of my posts. If I really like something I buy it. Once I paid $1250 for a Bloodred Corn. Not because I could sell babies for that much (far from it) but because it was the best looking Bloodred I had ever seen. I just don't buy reptiles as an investment (that is what the stock market and real estate are for).

Anyone trying to turn this leopard gecko forum into a sideline Board of Inquiry will be suspended and fined. Period. No, "I didn't realize you meant ME!" No, "I didn't understand what you meant!" No "But this is IMPORTANT!"

If it is important enough for you to talk ABOUT someone else then it either goes in the BOI, or button your lip.

There, is that to the point enough?

Thank You WebSlave. I don't really mind a link to the BOI to point something out, but it needs to be left at that. It was all stated already in the BOI. A link to ensure people are aware of the situation is sufficent. Let people make up thier own minds from there.
