All that I do know is all 6'2" and 200 pounds of 'timid' ol' me is going to stop through that door within the next 30 days... and we will take it as it plays out this time! I held off on calling my Phoenix Police Department contact. I hope that was a smart decision in the end, Danielle, by me. Don't let me down!
And Jeremy Jonson, you're absolutely the dumbest Newb I've ever seen post... please refrain from posting on stuff like this, and owning reptiles based on your embarrassing comments... I'm wondering, didn't your parents teach you when grown folks are talking, to shut up... Let's see if I can get rid of him with this new spray I got!
You're 6'2", 200 pounds, have been keeping reptiles for "20" years, and still need to grow up if all you can do to back yourself up is make worthless posts where all you do is call me a noob. You haven't said/done anything to backup/support your original claim. Behind your facade you seem to be nothing but a troll.
Come back when you're wearing your big boy pants.
So I take it you admire and approve of the conditions the pictured lizard was in, the reported empty water dishes, etc.?
Are you speaking to his expectations that critters have food and water, and that care to the petshop critters should come prior to employees allegedly lounging around the cash register?
Reported? Allegedly?
You would think that someone who has been on this website for ten years would understand that you need proof. Based off of the information that Tom has provided the public with, there
allegedly were over 30 animals he could have taken pictures of. And his phone can easily take over 100 pictures. So that one picture he posted means nothing to me.
Do it for the Collared. Do it for all the critters.
If you and Tom think that the collard is so important, why did Tom not talk to the employees while he was there. There is no excuse for not saying anything if you felt that way towards the Collard.
I promise I just tried a civil approach and got my life threatened... Fwiw; I laughed at it, and Shannon the owner is no good! I have zeroed in on his antics! His shop is closing asap....
Proof, or it didn't happen.
I just WISH I live closer to AZ...
To do what? Watch the "poor" animal in the store, complain about it online pretending that 6'2", 200 pounds of you is going to go to the store and do something in an act of redemption, but actually only call the store?
I'm disgusted. You took this poor critter in and it lay in filth with no food or water. It would have take a few minutes to clean the cage and put food and water in.
If you are going to take in an animal, do right by it. The way you treat it reflects on you.
Just because a critter is going to die is not a reason to let it spend its last days dried out, filthy, hungry.
You're disgusted? I'm disgusted. Tom saw something that he didn't like so instead talking to someone who worked at the store about it(according to him none of them were busy, so he could have easily spoken to one of them), he bashed the store online.
I think you were fair and gave them the time to come in and explain to the community what was going on.
And they did, what's your point?
Tom is a hero for looking out for the Collared even though it died, and for the other critters, as well as alerting prospective purchasers to what they might find in this pet shop and exactly what kind of behavior they are supporting if they spend dollars at Arizona Exotics.

For or looking out for the Collared? More like looking at the Collared! The only thing that he actually has done for the Collared was take a picture of it. How exactly has he helped the other critters? He has only said that they weren't taken care of properly but didn't give any proof.
I was thinking about this thread yesterday, along with the oft-repeated phrase that what truly shows what a person or company is about is not how they handle the good times, but how they handle mistakes and negative issues.
In some alternate universe Tom goes in, finds the poor critter, the lack of water, the other deficits and posts about it exactly as he did here.
But in this alternate universe, Shannon sees the post, and thanks Tom. Shannon fires everyone who was lounging around the cash register that day, and sends Tom a $1,000 gift certificate and asks him to make three or four surprise visits over the course of this year and post what he finds, to make sure the changes Shannon implements to make sure the critters are safe and well taken care of are being carried out.
Sadly, we are in our own universe, and Shannon has merely stooped to name calling and defended the indefensible conditions at this pet shop.
Shannon should thank Tom for bashing the store instead of just telling the store about what he think should change? Wow.
Shannon should give Tom a $1000 gift card for trying to scare away his customers? Wow.
Shannon should ask him to make several visits to the store although he still has not made the one visit that he said he would make? Wow.
Shannon has merely stooped to name calling and defending the indefensible conditions at the shop although their is no proof that Shannon actually called Tom any names and their is proof that Tom was definitely the person who started the naming calling? WOW
