A man by the name of Arnaud Moi (at least that's what he told me his name was) contacted me on 10/06/07 about possibly purchasing some geckos from me to be shipped to the German HAMM Show in December of 07. The following is a timeline and copies of the majority of our correspondence, which was all done via email. A few of the emails I no longer have and they must have been deleted, but I did save most of them.
He did end up reserving several geckos:
He replied with this-
In the above email, he attached a photo of this gecko-
He then sent me an email with an additional request for geckos he was ordering for a friend-
There was a copy of the bank transfer for the $1000 attached to the above email.
That was the only money I ever received from him.
We exchanged a few more emails after that that I cannot find; they must have gotten deleted.
When I had received no more money and there was only about 2 more weeks left until I could ship to the HAMM show, I contacted him to express concern (I did not want him to lose his deposit and not get any animals) and he wrote back that he would send it right away. He sent me another copy of an online bank transfer that looked the same as the other one, only the amount was for $4800 (the balance for his and his friend's orders).
I then did something very stupid. I went ahead and shipped the geckos to HAMM before the money went into my bank account. I sent geckos to around 8-10 different people to be picked up at that particular HAMM show. Every single person with the exception of Arnaud emailed me to let me know they got their geckos. A couple more weeks or so went by and still no $4800 in my account, so I wrote Arnaud this email on December 22:
He actually replied to me with this message-
So I was actually feeling like it was some kind of banking error and that eventually I would get my money. I didn't think he was going to steal it since he actually wrote me back rather than ignoring me. But of course... the money never came... Another email I sent him on 01/04/08-
Arnaud had told us that he had bought geckos from JMG Reptile and A & M Gecko in the past, so my husband wrote Jeff from JMG this email on 01/05/08-
Jeff wrote back to Steve and said, no, he had no record of any deals with the guy.
I forwarded Jeff's reply to Arnaud along with a message from me on 01/05/08-
I also asked Alberto from A & M Gecko if he had ever done business with Arnaud and he told me that he had and that Arnaud owed him a lot of money as well.
There is more to this story, but I will tell it in a second post in this thread.

OK, how about $4400 for all? I don't mind a deposit now and the rest in November as long as the deposit is at least 25% ($1100) or more. Does that
