Thank you so much for the support DesertRat, I appreciate it immensely.
I will be seeking legal advice, after I can get testing underway. I was in Dallas at the beginning of the month for a doctor appointment, but now that I am back the testing process can begin. Also, since the last mites have died I have not seen them again, here's hoping another batch do not lay in wait.

Speaking of testing, Ashley, are you getting YOUR testing done promptly?
And why so quiet on Phoenix, if you are so willing to "clarify" things?
I hope none of us have IBD but the rate of death in Ashley's collection (THAT WE KNOW ABOUT FROM HER) is dimming hope.

Hmm... found pictures she was posting of Phoenix in Feb. 2010, then found a post on rtb.net where she lists her snakes' names and Phoenix is not on it (end of July 2010).

I'd say it is pretty safe to say he died spring/summer 2010. She may not even be an entire six months without a death.

That's what I noticed as well, and I assume the same. There's no telling how many other deaths have occurred, I think we can all SAFELY assume we will NEVER be given the truth.

IMO it is safe to say that Ashley and Ryan Caspillo of Casper Constrictors have proved that just because you have a lot of nice snakes you can still be a worthless keeper. They had some nice animals and flaunted it but in the end they looked like idiots. I am so glad this thread came to light as hopefully people will see this and spread the word as to help this from happening again. No matter how nice someone seems to you it is always better to be safe and quarantine your animals just in case. Ashley knowingly sold snakes that could have been carriers of af serious retrovirus without remourse until she got caught. As much as it poains me to say this I believe ashley should have all her animals taken and donated to Universities that study IBD. This could be a great way for the herp world to possibly gain some more knowledge of this crazy disease. I am not a fan of handing animals over for lab testing but in this case it sounds like they are most likely on their way out and maybe their deaths can come with a popsitive note. Casper Consrtictors is no more and that is a good sign a relief in the herp world.

While I HIGHLY suspect IBD is present in Ashley's collection, especially after more information has come to light, it's still not a fact, as far as WE know.

Ashley COULD supply more conflicting information regarding the likely presence of IBD in her collection simply by
A)sharing more information on Phoenix's death, which she has YET to acknowledge, and would be the MOST recent (that we KNOW of)
and
B)posting the missing necropsy reports & pathologies she CLAIMS to have had done
C)posting the missing Addendum to the Burmese necropsy


While I agree this is the main priority, there are still LOADS of red flags with her honesty, integrity, and abilities to be a responsible and reputable seller.

Casper Consrtictors is no more and that is a good sign a relief in the herp world.

Unfortunately, as long as she still has snakes, she has every intention of breeding and selling.

She's already stated she intends to breed them again in a year.

For all we know she has more Craigslist ads, local news ads, or just general word of mouth trying to unload more snakes.

Her credibility is shot here, but there are other forums, new people, and countless non-internet related sources where she can and will continue to do what she's been doing, you can just about count on that.

Thankfully the Texas herp society seems to be a tight knit group, and I think several folks there will continue to keep a sharp eye out.

A thread by Ashley was recently bumped by people asking for pictures on RTB.net, and a small cluster of 'off-topic' posts were made and removed before I saw them. I assume they were references to this issue and that is where the latest Morti jab was coming from. Morti was not the one who removed them, though. It is a bit of a moot point anyway since she ducked out of that board once the heat started showing up over there.

I wasn't a huge fan of how Morti chose to handle the issue, but he did handle it. I don't think it is fair to say he was trying to bail her just, just to keep his site the way he wanted it.

RTB is not Morti's site, he is an Admin and was asked to uphold the TOS by the owner.
The posts were removed because of RTB.net's stance regarding BOI-TYPE posts. That is also the reason no specific threads have been allowed linking this thread.

However, other sites HAVE allowed info regarding Ashley and her collection to be shared, and word has continued to spread via word of mouth. As long as that trend continues, Ashley will have a hard time continuing to lie to con innocent parties as she has done in the past.

Ashley's actions have "run her off" the forums..no one else.

I've seen my vet and discussed testing. She has emailed Dr. Jacobson and will call me back when she gets answers to some questions on when the best time to test would be, since my snakes from Ashley are neonates.

However since Ashley has older snakes who have been exposed for a full year, these questions need not be asked by her. She needs to simply go to a vet and have the tests DONE. Ashley, have you done so yet? Are you getting any testing done?

Well I don't know if this will help much but one site Ashley has been on for a wile is southtexasreptiles.com you might want to look through her old posts I cant remember if she ever mentioned how or when phoenix died. But I do remember her posting about her Burm that died maybe she posted about Phoenix on their to just an idea to maybe check out. Hope this helps!

Er, that (bolded) was sorta my point.

Although, with Morti coming here, I was mistaken in thinking that he was at least part owner of the site so I stand corrected there.

I also didn't mean to imply I meant to blame anyone other than Ashley for being run off the board. She was okay hanging there as long as she had a little clustered posse still hanging with her saying BOI users are just meanies on a witch hunt, but once she realized some of her friends finally saw through her, she bailed.

He was listed as a "deceased" in her iHerp account, otherwise we wouldn't have even known about his death!!! Being honest and forthcoming are clearly NOT traits Ashley possesses.

It's really buried back here in this thread, on page 60, but you can see this is when we actually even found out he was dead.

She had NOT previously included him in her reported deaths. So, she's had FOUR DEATHS THAT WE KNOW OF SINCE THE IBD INDICATED REPORT.

As mentioned, he died sometime in within the last estimated 6 months.
I have a sneaking suspicion he is NOT the only one in which the notice of death and information has been withheld from the public.

Since she obviously HAS read our posts since we first brought that to everyone's attention, and has YET to address it, I fear the worst in regards to his matter of death.
