Baby Blizzard with a body Pattern?

CRAP Ok thats it.....no more days off for me!!!!!

Anyway I would have said a "ghost leopard"!

Wow, all that talk about a spotted blizzard and that is what you show us..... LOL J/K...... From what I can see it is a pretty little blizzard...... Could be a banana blizzard...... I have seen a few hatchlings that looked similar to that..... It will fade away in a few weeks...... Good job.....

Heheh - thanks for the compliments guys...

Chad, lol - the camera that I used was a disposable camera. My buddy is going to jam on over tonight and I'll let him take some pics that are acutally visable...

Gregg - Heheh, Yeah, I know what you mean... heheh. I just wanted to have at least, uhm, one pic to show you all. I'll post a pic that actually looks like a lizard "soon"! It should be tonight if all goes good!

Thanks guys/gals!

my two cents

any way i think that those spots are expected to fad seeing how they resemble a patternless and those also fade but i do believe that what you have is a true banna blizzard also if it is male i would breed it with a patternless female just to prove it it is kinda interesting if that is what it is ya know even if it is a female you can breed it with a patternless male to further prove it out well just like i said thats my 2 cents

Yeah That is a true banana blizzard....... I cant wait to see clear pics of it...... Those spots will fade but it should definately keep the yellow..... There is patternless blood in that blizzard for sure..... Awesome stuff Rich......

Sybella, I really don't think you have anything to apologize about in all honesty...
*snip*
But Sybella and Xelda, thanks for coming out and saying something. I thought at first maybe it was just me!

You're very welcome.

Please tell your friend to hurry with the new pictures...I can't stand this suspense!! LOL!!

no offense...

but how any of you can determine anything from that picture other than the fact that it has a yellow back and a dark head is beyond me. a yellow back does not make it a true bannana blizzard it makes it a "bannana phase" blizzard. and any talk of it definately having patternless blood it farfetched. the odds of accidently producing a double mutation from what im guessing are unrelated blizzards are highly improbable.

on a much lighter note, richie... i think blizzards are awesome and though i believe a majority of that color will fade it will most likely retain some of that yellow hue.

i have a high yellow patternless albino female and a blizzard male that i was thinking about crossing to make triple hets just for fun maybe ill pop out with a REAL (double mutation) banana blizzard in a year or two.

Alrighty folks, new pic has been added to the pics section.

Let me know what you all think!

Banana Phase?

Hi- I was just wondering-what is the different between a banana phase and a "true banana blizzard'?

I recently purchased a banana phase and I didn't even know that there was two different types-I feel kinda stupid-LOL!!

Here is a pic of my Dawn

She is also 66% het for BB and I also purchased a normal male when I bought her that is also 66% het for BB.
Can anyone explain what exactly I have here?
I am new to working with genetics and actually I love the lizards for what they look like but it would be nice toi have an idea of what I could possibly end up with if I bred these two in the future.
Thanks

i dont see any pictures but my guess is its from VMS. they call their yellow blizzards "banana phase" and thier brown albinos "chocolates" and thier patternless albinos "high yellow".

Looks like a high yellow blizzard to me. Some inacurately call them "banana blizzards", but in reality they are just a variation of the blizzard. The pattern and color will fade. A true banana blizzard would show both reccesive traits, blizzard and patternless. Kelli Hammack has a true banana, quite different looking.

pics of my banana phase

I posted a thread in the Leo pic album with the 2 pics of her that I tried to put into my previous post- could someone please tell me what exactly I have here and will this lovely yellow fade with age?
And Yes I did get her from VMS.

Pretty nice little gecko you've got there Chad! That'd be cool to see what it'll produce in the future!

its more like a pastel patternless albino than a "high yellow" I.M.O. it grew to be what i would call a poor example (muted yellow with little to no c/t).

rainwaters dont hold much vibrant color into adulthood it seems. maybe, with that in mind, they would be the best choice for a blazing blizzard because they may fade to a whiter white into adulthood).

it started out looking like this (pictured with 1.1 "high yellow" LV albinos het for patternless).

the picture size is really small on the other thread. your logo covers most of the picture.

my 2 cents...

Chad, your little one appears to be a PA. Ritchie, I ditto this comment:
i do believe that what you have is a true banna blizzard
I have hatched many blizzards, and have never seen one with a pattern. Just my opinion...
