In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Red Deer Reptiles is the proud new parents of multiple baby San Andreas Boas. They were discovered early this morning.
Pictures will follow soon!

Not to start anything, but I remember when pictures first started hitting the net, and a lot of questions arose as to the validity of this Locale. No paperwork. Basically smuggled in. Stuff like that.

Has that issue been resolved? I really didn't follow them to be honest.

Looking forward to the pictures though.
Rick

Truthfully there isn't anything to resolve, their from WC Hog Islands legally imported to the USA.
They arrived in Florida and considered substandard by many upon inspection.

That whole smuggling fairy tail turns out to be yet another attempt to be  "Exclusive"
Who exactly imported them across the Canadian Border is unconfirmed, basically nobody cares.

The bright side to all this, when people see these animals they'll know what an average "TRUE Wild Caught" Hog Island BCI looks like.Overall a less then impressive animal as far as color or "ornate beauty" compared to the examples currently being bred in captivity.

Bummer people are being scammed :(

I'll be damned. Look just like Hogs, don't they.
Well, making the wrong name for yourself don't make you famous, it makes you infamous. Glad I don't have to worry about such things as that.

No worries on the time frame Kaitlin. We understand. According to the theads, you guys been some busy up there cleaning up the shop, and dodging angry customers and such. That stuff takes a lot out of your schedule.

.

ya crazy busy here the show that was just in town brought in a bunch of new customers buying all kinds of things. :yesnod:

Can't remember. I could go search for it if I was so inclined. But i'm not that energetic at the moment. :NoNo:

Go sign in, go to user CP, view all subscriptions. It'll be in there most likely.

See you got things cleaned up Kaitlin.

The following photos were taken at Red Deer Reptiles on November 9, 2008. Unfortunately, my phone did not take clear pictures, but they are clear enough that you can get an idea as to how poor the conditions were:

A kingsnake with no water and a filthy enclosure:

Another kingsnake that appears extremely malnourished:

A rainbow boa in a completely dry enclosure with a bone dry water dish:

A bearded dragon (which was in pretty rough shape, although I couldn't get a clear shot of it) soaking in its waterdish with filthy water:
WeddingPhotos009.jpg

A poor shot of a Kenyan Sand Boa that is strongly suspected to be dead. We watched it for about 5 minutes and never once saw it take a breath. Numerous attempts to 'prevoke' it into moving even a little bit were unsuccessful:

Pictures that didn't come out as clear included shots of Amazon Tree Boas either resting on the bottom of the cage as a result of not having pearches or soaking in a waterdish, and several enclosures infested with mites.

The majority of the reptiles in the store were soaking in their waterdishes, which contained disgusting water. Scorpions that were labelled as "Lethal" were kept in containers that were within reach of small children.

I saw heat tape underneath several enclosures; however, all of the heat tape I touched was cool and it did not appear to be turned on.

Dan presented as quite rude to myself and the friends I was with. Once we left the store, he showed us a photo of us that was on a piece of paper that said "ENIMY" at the top. After locking the door to his store, he displayed his middle finger to a friend of mine. We never really said anything to him and we certainly weren't disrespectful. His behaviour toward my friend was completely unprevoked.

It appears as though Dan has not taken any steps to improve his store to date.

Matt

Unbelievable.
