    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have just dealt with a horrible transaction with Barbie. I paid over a $1000 for dubias and she shorted me 10's of thousands of Dubias and has given ever excuse in the book to why they are short and why she feels she does not need to give a refund back. From its USPS fault, to there must have been a hole in the box, to she had some one else ship, to the video I took is not good enough. She shipped a 1000 adult females in a flat rate 12X12X5 box WITH ONE(1) egg crate. Nearly 200+ dead. Who does that?? She will tell you her rating on here is good, but she is a con, rip off, fraud. BUYER BEWARE She will rip you off. I have never dealt with someone who lies and talks in circles as much as she does.

Do not ever do business with her. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, PERSON.
 
How about some more details, along with supporting evidence? How many were you supposed to receive? How many did you actually receive? Can you post photographic proof of excessive DOAs? Did you happen to take pictures of the boxes and/or video of you opening them? Also, you'll want to post any emails or texts that back up what you're saying about how she's responded. I'm assuming that this thread is about Barbara Satrom, yes?
 
Hello, I have been trying to deal with this in a very sivel manner. Mr. Kahler was Promised 1500 adult females 2500 medium nymphs and 10000+ small nymphs. In the paypal agreement i asked for justin to call as soon as the package arrived he did not. He called after he "counted" them and then told me it was very short.

"I hand counted 1000 adult females my self 200 adult males 2500 mediums by hand and about 13000 small nymphs in weight. i had a friend finish because my mother is in the hospital and i needed to leave. I then came home and shipped on Tuesday and i had consent from the seller to do so.

The seller later that evening started sending me video and pics much after recieving the package. He originally told me he was a regular breeder looking for a colony for him and his friends and has only told me today he is a breeder. He has been harrasing me even after i asked him to dispute it with paypal because he is yelling and calling me names as well as making horridile accusations. He has said he will rub my name in the dirt with paypal.

All i know is i do not know this man. he has upped the amount that the order was short several times and is belligerent via text. I have contacted paypal about the dispute and i am going through the motions. I have never had a bad sale and if a reptile arrived with a problem (has only happened one time) i gave a refund. I would be willing to work this out at a resonable number for the ones i did not count myself but the buyer has already tried to despute the who transaction and now we are dealing with paypal.
 
I responded to a post on the classifieds for $0.50 adult female breeders and we agreed in writing upon a larger lot containing 1850 total adult Females: 1500 in written agreement (plus 350 more promised in text because of her being late and some for a shortage of nymphs), 200 adult males, 2500 mediums,15,000+ babies. $1350

What showed up:
Females Hand Counted 2 times: Total: 949 - 813 Alive, 136 dead on arrival, another 50 within 24 hours. Final alive count 763. Final Dead Count 186
Males: 143 alive, 46 dead
Babies: 3148 alive. Hand counted 7-50 ct random samples and calculated .0253 g/baby.
Mediums: 613 hand counted
 
Here are pics of what i sent you can compare to what his pics are. I have never had this happen not even sure what to do.

Ok, you BOTH need to provide these pictures and documents on this thread. Going back and forth like this isn't going to help because neither of you are showing any proof at this point.
 
The tracking number shows the package was received at 3;55 pm and he did not contact me until 7:07 that was not the agreement on the paypal and it gave plenty of time for my shipment to be tampered with.
 
how do i copy the tracking info from usps to show what time he got the package and then i also could use some advice on how to transfer the text from my email Please.

If your whole argument is based on trying to hide behind the premise that he didn't call you as soon as the package arrived, that's pretty weak sauce. Hopefully, that's not the case. It would have taken all of 5 minutes to "tamper" with the shipment. The timeline is more supportive of the idea that he tried to get an idea of how many were actually there before contacting you. When I see someone trying to cling to what I think is an irrelevant circumstance, it just screams "scammer" in my mind.

He's been sending pics and video to prove his case to you, and your response is to take it up with PayPal?! Real professional. Seeing as their TOS doesn't cover live animal sales, it's a total crapshoot trying to get a refund from them. If he'd originally told you he was a breeder, how can you say that he only told you about it today? Also, what does it matter if he's a breeder?

Whether or not you've previously had bad sales makes no difference in this one. You come off as someone who's grasping at any available straw to try to avoid any sense of responsibility. If he's made conflicting statements about how many are missing, prove it. The pictures you've provided are basically useless for trying to gauge how many are there.
 
You did not take those right away you did not send them to me till after 8 pm that night and you did not call me as we had agreed on paypal sale.
 
I agreed for a partial refund for the ones i did not count myself. The ones i counted my self i know are their. I did not want him to have to go through paypal until he started calling me names and screaming. I was unaware of the paypal rule about live animals because i have never had this problem before he just said its what he wanted to do so i agreed that maybe paypal would be the best rout. I offered $300 or a little more for the refund because his pics are not even close to what i shipped but he wanted almost $900 back and i cant agree with that because i know what i counted.
 
As the above video link will show, how does someone tamper with some much death. With an order this large, it takes time from when they hit my hands, order arrived at 4pm, to the time I had things ready, had my kids taken care of, and started opening and counting. You can see it was plenty daylight outside in a video I will post of opening the box. I probably started opening the box around 5. It took about 45 min to count the first box. After noting the death and alive count, I was hoping for more adults plus the mediums and smalls in the next box. I had been taking video along the way. I opened the second box, which I will post a video of, as soon as I finished that and realized there were no more adults and there was clearly a shortage of mediums and smalls I texted, 6:07 to call asap, as well as called and left a message.

I am only looking for what is fair and pay for what I received. $.50 for the females like she posted, at 800 alive, not taking into account for another 50 that died in 24 hours , $0.10 for the mediums (600) and $0.02 for the babies (3148). For a total of $523 and refund me $840. $827 for my shortage and $13 for my time dealing with this.
 
I use my good sales just as an example of my credibility here because none of you know me personally and thats how people get to know me here on fauna. Justin told me he was well known on other sites and good for his part i supposed i should have asked for those sites because i usually base my sales off of a good reputation. Based off of his pics of the small medium and large the difference is just to obvious thats why i feel my pictures are relevant. My smalls mids and larges wher in a 30gal tub and they wher covering the bottom plus! his pics show them confined to small containers only inches high it makes no sense.

How does this matter in terms of the complaint of shortages/deaths?
Unless you start stomping on them, it's really tough to kill a lot of roaches in a few hours.

Thies are his pics of the shipment after arrival and counting the next day. I took my pics of the adults after i counted 1000 female breeders and 200 male breeders. the pic of the small meds and legs that i took was just before packaging. I feel that i can not ignore such a big difference if he would have been off a little i would just take care of it but he is saying over half of what i sent is gone i cant agree with refunding that when i know what i sent.

I except the dead absolutely i would refund those in a heart beat. The thing i dont except is saying over half of my shipment to him disappeared.
 
I do have to get my girls home we live out of town so i no longer have internet services available to me. I will get back on tomorrow hoping that i have figured out how to post my texts i sent email. thank you Barb
 
You also wanted to explain that the missing 13,000 babies must of gotten out of a hole in the box. I assure you, if you dropped off 15,000 babies and only 3000 arrived, meaning 12,000 escaped, USPS would be contact you immediately. Someone would notice 12,000 escaping out of a box.

Even if you were given the benefit of doubt, how would you explain another 2000 mediums missing and 1000 females. Did they all escape out of the boxes as well. Come on there are more holes in your story than Swiss cheese. People will see in video, and text how sour this deal has gone down.
