In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Beeger Boxes

I bought a RB thermostat from them at the last Greenville show. Turned out to be a used repackaged item. All the stuff they had at the show was poor construction to say the least. I believe they were just trying to unload a bunch of B grade stuff. I did not see one cage or rack that was built with any degree of precision. Lots of gaps and twisted panels on everything. Contacted RB directly they sent me a new stat asap. He spent at least 35 minutes showing me his notebook of orders that he was so busy with that "he could not keep up ". I will not do further business with this company. I will continue to give my current rack supplier all of my business. Don't want to advertise for anyone here but my supplier is on time and a top notch product EVERY TIME. I have 20+ racks from him.

I was contacted by Debby today via Facebook. My snake racks will be shipped today. Not too excited as I have been told this twice before. Let's see what happens. I did ask for the tracking number as well.

Sorry to hear all you got were "QAULITY" excuses again Chad. I like the "no internet access" BS. They all have smart phones!(seen them!) It is sad to see all the people coming out of the woodwork who coughed up the cash and never got anything except excuses, lies, and fluff jobs. Hopefully everyone gets their money back in a timely manner. Lance, did you ever get a tracking number?

Chad

I think if you send a copy of this thread to the credit card company (I recommend doing so) , and reiterate the fact that your seller has missed a deadline twice, your chargeback might very well be successful. Depending on the carrier, you might be able to refuse the shipment, to show the chargeback guys you are proactive maybe call the carrier's customer service department and refuse it before it gets to you.
Custom or not, this was handled very poorly, and one would expect better communication. To wait until there are imminent threats of chargebacks before completing the work speaks poorly of this company.

Not yet, I have been at work. I just sent a message to Debby inquiring about the tracking number.

It always amazes me how a small percentage of sellers are willing to let their reputation go down the tubes over something that could be prevented with a little communication. Going "dark" does not solve anything, at least not for me.

I told debby I would try to cancel the charge back if I get shipping info and didn't hear back

I absolutely think this is not a good idea. I think that the bank may question a second chargeback, but what if you receive the product and it is shoddy? I'm not saying it will be, but wait and get what you ordered before canceling any chargeback.
So far things have not gone well. Don't give away your best defense.

So far that is the best advice in this thread. Don't do it!

Anyone that has ever done business with us, knows this is not how we normally do business. I am the one that takes care of the internet and I have been dealthy sick for over 2 weeks and was not able to get online for most of it, or make calls.

I had NO internet available to me at the Charlotte show. When speaking to Chad I asked him several times to give me his number, which he did not. Then I got another call and finally fell asleep at 10 pm, again, I could not connect with the internet at the show.

It is our opinion that to order a large custom cage and to be 2 weeks late, is not out of line. It's not like Ross did not call him and speak to him several times about it. And we always do tell people that the shipping times are approximate.

I told him it was shippiing out today and was told he put in a chargeback. He said that if i showed him the tracking number, he would try to reverse it, but like i told him, that is not something we can do at this time.

As far as a repackaged used thermostat, that is absolutley insane. We purchase ours direct from RB and we would have no reason to do that. We would never sell anything used.

We have been in business for over 16 years and we are currently experiencing growing pains. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused anyone and we are rectifying the issues. As of tomorrow shipments will be 100% caught up and on schedule.

Do you and Ross ever speak with one another?

That is a backhand apology if I ever heard one. "Stuff happens" as you said in a message today is no way to talk to a customer when you have missed shipping goods that he has already paid for. Also the rack was a good bit more than 2 weeks late. It also sounds like other people have had problems with your products and your response has been to call them a liar or to state that is "absolutely insane" I for one am not buying it. Not one bit. Lose the attitude, make things right for your customers and maybe things will look better.
