In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Ben Siegel

Here is the problem Thoai, you accused Ben of using deceptive advertising. You were informed that the snake you were buying was not the exact snake in the picture, and were offered pictures of the exact snake you were going to get. You declined. Where is the deceit?

I bought a snake and Ben gave me a free normal female. That's cool of him. Thanks for the snake Ben.

i find it rather funny that you're calling out and making a post on a very decent person that went out of his way to make you happy yet u still posted on him? rather ignorant to me. also i am not mistaken dont you have a few snakes posted for sale that are sick and so forth? now thats alot worse than anything ben could do in my opinion.

But the photo is of the sick snake! So it's okay! :ack2:

When I packed his order, without telling him or being asked, I took one of my OWN 08 holdback fancy females and shipped it to him with the male free of charge as I felt bad for shipping him a day late.

 WOW! With that kind of customer service, I will definitely look for opportunities to do business with you, Ben! Amazing.

Harald emailed me letting me know of this thread. Figured I would just post up the facts real fast. We had 4 enchis from Matt at ghi--This person inquired about getting an enchi. I was asking $450 ea for them--he offered $400 delivered. This was probably a month or more ago. He was informed that the animal pictured was not available and he asked for more pictures. He was told that if he wanted to wait a few days he would get pictures of the actual animal. He did not want to wait. I wrote this order up myself and completely forgot to bring it in to ship and missed the same day shipping. I apologized profusely and told him I would ship the following day which was fine with him. When I packed his order, without telling him or being asked, I took one of my OWN 08 holdback fancy females and shipped it to him with the male free of charge as I felt bad for shipping him a day late. I figured it would be a good girl to breed to his enchi male. I have never had any intention of misleading customers with pictures in ads. Sometimes ads are just reposted as they are similar items or clutchmates, and the ad clearly states 4 available and there is only pics of one of them. Aside from all that, they are baby enchis---they dont even start to look really nice until 300 or 400 grams. This person never expressed one inkling of being unhappy with his order, and if I remember correctly even emailed me thanking me. Real nice customer.

I just spotted his thread today. Wish I would have seen it sooner.

Im guessing I was the first customer that actually emailed Ben when he first put up the enchi AD up. He told me he had a that male pictured in the AD along with other males. He told me If I wanted, I could sort through the others and pick what I like.
So I zoomed over to his store and went through the hatchling enchis and I picked the male from the AD. Ben has hundreds of animals he sells on KS. I doubt he'll have the time to put up each pic from each clutch or group. I seen the AD after he sold me the pictured enchi and he kept updating the quanity of enchis he had left from that group on the side. Believe me Im on KS all day everday:) And I see his ADs.

Heres the male:

The Enchi was my fifth Bp purchase from Ben. Each time I make a purchase from him, all I get are beautiful great eating animals along with awesome customer service. I look for Ben for all my Ball python needs:eek:

So when are you girls going to get together and have a gossip party? lol

This thread goes nowhere.. I never expected a bunch of booty kissers to come piling in just because of a lil true negative info. All of you can remember me and never buy or sell a snake to me it doesn't matter. Because I dont think I would like to do business with booty kissers and side pickers. :)
All of you are like friends that can't handle a little truth when it's negative..
It's not Ben anymore. It's you guys that don't have brains to understand anything about this post.. How about I lie a lil bit huh? All of you are PeRfecT!! Stick together and stay as PerfeT as you can. :)

done with this.

Thanks. I understand Where Ben stands. Thanks for your fair post.

As a teacher, I see this all the time. When kids are having a debate, and one runs out of logical things to say to support his/ her point, he switches to berating (look it up, dude) the other person.

Facts:
1. Ben let you know that the specific snake pictured was no longer for sale and offered you a pic of the animal you were purchasing, which you declined (are you denying this, because this is the pivotal point of the thread, IMO).

2. I am neither a girl, nor a racist; you are the one who resorted to name-calling when you ran out of points to make.

I agree this thread is going nowhere. Please, just let it go. My dad can beat up your dad.

Mr. Phong,
I am not a booty kisser, I simply stated my transaction with Mr. Siegel. I guess you did not like it. You never have responded to several requests for your side of why you never wanted a picture of the actual snake you were to recieve? I have really failed to see the basis for your complaint?
thanx in advance for your long awaited answer,
mike

The sad and unfortunate thing about this thread is that the OP really didn't even care about which snake he was getting - he just wanted a cheap animal he could turn around and sell. He low balled a good $100 discount and turned around an listed it for a profit. It's probably sitting in the tub next to the sick snake he's also trying to sell.

Bottom line is that he was made aware that the pictured snake wasn't available and was offered pictures of the ones that were - anyone with a brain would have asked for and waited for pictures if they cared. The excuse that he completed the transaction only because he didn't want to suffer the Paypal fees is just ignorance on his part or a lame excuse.

Ben did go above and beyond only to get shot in the back.

If anything this thread points out who should be avoided at all costs. :yesnod: Perhaps we can have the title relabeled. :yesnod:

Since your side wasnt taken because 80 to 90% of the people here either knows ben or has done business with him and has read the ad he had up and it clearly shows and tells what's available, you resort to name calling? lol well we arent booty kissers we just happened to have weaned through your B.S story. now if anyone she be called names it should be you because you are a scummy low life flipper that list wounded or sick animals to be sold to anyone... man, woman, or a child that doesnt know how serious the illness can become. so that put you at the bottom of the scum barrel my friend and should be avoided at all cost.

I neither know Ben, nor have I ever bought from him, and I am not exactly a regular poster on this site or this forum. I am also not stupid and have never been classified as a bootie kisser! These factors make me a pretty objective observer, and Au Duong Phong, your arguments here come off like someone who complains about the weather when its a clear sky, sunny day, 75 degrees, and a 5-10 knot north by northwest breeze. I really can't say if I will or will not buy from Ben. If I thought about it, I would probably do some more reading first, but I know for certain that I would NEVER buy from you or take your word on just about anything because of the poor logic that you have exhibited in this thread. In other words, for me, this thread is not as much a selling point for Ben as it is a damnation for you, and one that you placed on yourself! Having said that, Ben's customer service is very impressive here.

The worst thing you did here is attempt to play the race card when there was absolutely no justification for it and you were losing the argument. That, my friend is called a red herring, a classic argumentative fallacy. If you were borderline untrustworthy before that point, you were darn sure untrustworthy after. :NoNo:

If Bill was advertising or showing pictures of a grade A snake, and sent the customer a grade C snake, he could be upset. But receiving a snake you are happy with, and getting a FREE fancy female for a 1 day shipping delay, I would be jumping with joy.

Still not quite sure how I feel about advertising with photos of a snake no longer available, without a disclaimer along the lines of "photo is a representation of available stock".

I can understand why Au Duong Phong was upset... it can be disappointing when you see a particular snake you like and you find out its no longer available. I might raise my eyebrow if I see that same snake pictured in a later ad. But if you are really concerned about "bait and switch" I would email the seller first to find out what's up. It makes sense that high volume sellers re-list ads. It's the buyers responsibility to ask for photos and make an informed purchase.

He offered to send him pics of avail animals and he refused them because he didn't want to wait for them. If it was a big concern he would have waited for pics to choose from.

he was aware that the snake in the picture was sold and that pictures of the others would be sent. he chose not to wait on the other pictures and purchased an item.if he is dissapointed then he should be dissapointed with himself not ben. ben told him the one in the picture was gone. he boguht a snake and even jewed ben down a 100 on it and got another free then made this post? you must see better than i do because i dont see as to where he had any reason to be dissapointed or to post this thread. he was the problem not ben.

This particular customer was aware that the photo did not represent the snake he wanted, because he was offered photos.
However, it is NOT ordinarily the buyer's responsibility, if there is a photo involved, to determine if it is a stock photo, or a real photo if (as was NOT in this case) if there is 1 photo and 1 snake. There should be words showing representation, if the photo is not of the actual snake and the buyer is unaware.
