    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

it was 2 weeks part time (that was friday 10-29-10, monday 11-1-10, wednesday 11-3-10,and friday 11-5-10) the hours i worked were 26 hours.

my family is investigating as to why it was a personal check with $50 missing. this could eventually lead to sueing if there is proper cause... and it looks like there may be
 
well after my parents do more investigation i will let you know. companies should not pay with personal checks. there needs to be proof of deductions etc. and so far there is none. my bet is they are working illigally and me and my family are determined to figure out why and how all this ties together to prove that. to my family this whole set up looks incriminating.

...Ms. Minton can't provide "BOI APPROVED" proof to back up her claims towards the company but in turn can offer personal information irrelevant to to this thread...

She posted about the conditions of this place and some things she had seen there.Ok fine..No proof to show these conditions and no proof to show what she says to be false.What would she have to gain to make up a story like this? This place wouldn't be the first or the last place with disgusting conditions.

She's not selling,buying,or trading anything so scamming is out the window.She put it out there and that's it.Somehow this gets turned into an English/typing class,what she has for pets, and her personal information?

I don't have an opinion either way on this thread,it is what it is,hearsay with no proof. But,if your gonna call someone out as a liar for posting, you should have your proof out as well.

And your prior misdemeanor is pertinent in that it shows character or lack thereof - theft is not something employers generally look for in an employee, and could be relevant to your layoff.
It is indicative of one's attitude, honesty, moral compass and one's easy ability to try to deceive/take what is not yours.
I'm pretty certain you would not have returned the item you shoplifted because you were remorseful - you just got busted, that's all. THAT'S why it's relevant.
 
it is actually not. this is about the companies lack of care of their animals i.e breeding deformed animals etc, legal issues about the company themselves, your missing the big picture. this is not about me its about the business

Who's calling who a liar? It doesn't matter to me, I'm not the one jumping into anyone's defense and I certainly don't care about what she eats for breakfast.

If it's a result of her being upset about losing her job, she may be making up stories as a way to get back at them. When it's a 'he said, she said' thing, character plays a big part in trying to figure out who's telling the truth.
 
as i said this is not about me being angry at the company for being laid off i could care less about that. they clarrified to me this morning that it was nothing i did wrong. my schedule just didnt work. this does not give you ample right to dig around my background to find things pertaining nothing to this thread. you are looking for things to just make me look bad and attack me. my main focus is why i got paid with a personal check missing $50+ dollars when they did not include any legal tax deduction paper proof, worked ith no insurance or paperwork, the care of the animals themselves. why do you all insist on attacking just me and not looking at what im trying to point out. in my opinion this company is fishy and my family is planing to investigate this as there is some legal rule being broken somewhere
 
A personal check for under $600 is not illegal.They can still send you a 1099 for your taxes...and if they wanted to,that check was for rats they bought from you.There's no paper work,as far as they're concerned you never worked there.
 
they let me go on 11-6-10. they had me fill out paperwork on 11-5-10 right before i went home that afternoon.those 4 days i was working there was no paperwork but i was documented on a timeclock for my hours wich is very much illigal. all paperwork needs to be completed and documented before a person works 1 minute. that company did not buy rats from me. i have not sold any rats to anyone yet. i have only 1 litter and it is my first and they are too young to wean. also they do not even know i have any rats . a personal check is illigal for a company to supply to an employee if they do not supply paperwork showing legal tax deductions... its called paying under the table (very illigal and is grounds for sueing and jail time).
 
Nope..it's called sub-contractor and that would make the taxes your problem.And I was saying,they could claim that personal check was for rats, not that it was.You have nothing on them.

You've put the information out there for people to read into anyway they choose to.Nothing more, nothing less.
 
well when she wrote my check she looked on the computer so i know my paperwork and information is logged on their computer as me working there. if they claim its for rats then i can still get them at a crossroad for "well then where is my payment for the time i worked there" wich i know is recorded and will deeply be looked into by the police uupon which all the company lies will be uncovered. also im not the only one working there so there are multiple people they can use to uncover a companies lies. there is no way of hiding from the law. everyone should that. now this whole thread is pretty much pointless so you can continue arguing about this thread or let it die till i can get legal proof which i will. till then i will not post again because you all are making up excusses for the company and not looking at the whole picture
 
I have no dog in this fight but her job duties, the method she was paid, and the fact that they dictated her hours and schedule mean she was NOT a subcontractor.

Elizabeth, if I were you I would file a claim with the Dept. of Labor. Being in CA if you file a claim and they cannot produce evidence that they paid you correctly and TIMELY(in the case of a lay off you must be paid at the time you are let go) you can receive an amount equal to 8 hours pay for each day(up to 30) they are delinquent in paying you. There are many laws they may have broken and the DOL would be your best starting point. If you need help let me know. I deal with payroll issues daily.
 
Also, the police cannot help you with your employment and pay issues. They will tell you to contact the DOL. I wouldn't bother calling the police if I were you.
 
I don't think it was right for your criminal record to be posted on here. On the other hand, I can't stand people like you that want to sue over stupid stuff. It may not be the way it's supposed to work, but it's not at all uncommon to be a few days behind getting paperwork done.
 
There's no paper work Seanna...she has nothing..I couldn't care less to be honest with you.Paper work for 1 day..part time hrs. probally equals the $50, which they probally held back a week on.

Talking of sueing over that?..please, I'ld be more worried about that company going after you for slandering their name all over a public forum.
