Bad Guy BEWARE: Jason Lewenza of Lewenza's Lizards

Here is the original post from the Canadian BOI I have nothing to hide :

I have been advised of this post and am gathering the information ( Proof ) of this transactions to post here for everyone to see. It might take me a couple days to collect this information because I had to summit it to the fraud department of not only the bank but the RCMP. I can understand the frustration that a case like this has but I am doing everything in my power to make sure that Kevin is looked after. During international fraud cases like the one we have here ..... It does take some time to get cleared or sorted out. Let me also make noted that the other previous deals that me and Kevin have had all went very smooth and there were no problems at all. It is to bad that I will get bashed for a transaction that went south because a fraud that occurred. I have no personal ill will towards Kevin and Kevin has been more than fair with being patient in this case but my frustration is also building along with his because this case has came back from the bank as a fraud case. The bank is fighting with the business to get this reimbursed. The bank has also been sluffed off by this business from my understanding and so the reason I went the submit all the information to the RCMP. I have also recently aquired a lawyer in regards to this case because of the lengthly time this has taken to speed this process up. Kevin has been aware of this whole situation from day one and any information that does come up I try to let him know right away. After I have gathered the information for this matter I will post it on here for everyone to see ........... Thanks Jason Lewenza

Here is the second post from the Canadian BOI (Directed @ Gino)

I didnt take anything read my post ....... For one. Second Kevin is aware of what happened ....... He signed paperwork from the bank ...... Draw any conclussions you want ....... Fraud is a huge offense it takes time when it comes to international claims ....... I will post paperwork when I get it ....... And third read how much it was and get your facts straight before deciding to put your 2 cents in please ....... What you dont know is everything that has transpired up to this event ....... Thanks Jason Lewenza

I think that would kinda explain the lack of proof on the OP's part. Sounds like he's frustrated just like Jason there, but instead of being patient, he decides to try to come here and make him look bad.

If the OP knows full well that the MO was actually stolen and forged, why call Jason a bad guy? In INFO thread might've been called for, but so far I've seen no evidence (at all) to name Jason Lewenza a bad guy.

I agree but I also think that Jason should be sending Kevin a check for $608 in the mean time. There really is no reason Kevin should be out the money pending the investigation.

In the end this is Jason's problem not Kevin's. IMO

Was it the original posters fault that the Money Order was stolen? Nope. He fulfilled his end of the bargain and provided the lizards. The buyer has not fulfilled his end of the bargain and paid for them.

If this was flipped and the buyer had paid but the lizards were stolen in transit people would be up in arms demanding that the seller provide a refund or replacement lizards immediately. Why is the buyer not held to the same standard?

The seller has been more than patient, but he shouldn't have to continue to wait to be compensated when the payment loss wasn't his fault. The loss of the MO is the buyers problem and should not be a valid reason for not fulfilling his end of the contract.

What we do know is that Kevin has stated that he has been waiting 9 months for you to pay him. Do you dispute that you owe him the money, have owed him for 9 months and have been avoiding his calls? When Kevin "signed paperwork from the bank" to help in your investigation did he also agree to wait 9 + months to get paid what was owed to him? The "fraud" is your problem, why should he continue to have to wait for you to solve your problem? Just pay the man; he has been more than patient with you...

When this first come about and we both found out that that the fraud occured we agreed upon going through with the investigation. That is why Kevin got involved and agreed to sign papers in regardes to his name being forged. About 30 days ago this planned has changed and other events has transpired in regards to me not picking up the phone. I have been truly trying to come up with the funds so that this matter can be cleared. But also in the same sense Kevin is out money so am I. What if it happens again ? Then what ? Am I truly then one at fault because of following the original plans ? I am not trying to cause problems but tryin to bring justice upon people who do this kind of thing. I thought I was doing the right thing. I am sorry to Kevin and everyone if I did indeed do the wrong thing I was just looking for some justice in reegards to the fraud. Thanks Jason Lewenza

lewenza

lewenza,

you are trying to do the right thing? Seriously? you make me want to puke! Pay Kevin his money. Honor your end of the deal! Kevin did his part!

And dont hide behind your call display! That is pathetic!

GB

Gino well then go ahead and puke. I dont care what your misrible responses may be. You always stick you face into some post and let everyone know your opinion before you get all the information. Your like a kid, judge a book by it's cover before reading it. As for everything else the fraud did occur Kevin was sent paperwork and proof. The length of time was discused when we agreed to go on with the investigation. I could not control how long it was going to take. And I also could not control being lead to believe that it was only going to take a short period of time. Again once all the proof is recieved then I will post it.

I posted this on the CAN BOI but it seems to have been ignored.

I do not know Kevin, but have dealt with Jason. I would trust Jay again.

My question was: what if, and only a "what if" since I don't know Kevin in the slightest.... but isn't it possible that he cashed that money order himself, and claimed to have not received it? When people are out of cash, they get desperate.

OR, maybe he cashed it but forgot who it was from?

I'm not saying this is what happened -- but Jay has already taken the $600 out of his own pocket, so paying twice is harder than not receiving funds that you didn't have to begin with.

I sucks to be Kevin. No doubt about that -- $600 may not be much in the long scheme of things, but when you have bills to pay and mouths to feed, it adds up. Quickly! I couldn't afford that amount at this point in time. Economy sucks wherever you look, and it's obviously affecting everyone.

The people this argument should be brought up with is the RCMP and the fraud department -- THEY should be the ones hustling to find out what happened, not the two parties here. And I don't think this should have come to the BOI at all. It should have been brought up with the appropriate authorities.

There has been no "proof" -- bank transactions, receipts or anything to prove either point, so jumping on one side or another, I think, is unfair

No, it's not. Kevin has been doing business in our industry for many, many years. He has a stellar reputation. Jason Lewenza? Never even heard of him until I saw this thread. Perhaps you should take the statement above and exchange the name "Jason" with the name "Kevin". It's more possible that way.

With a lack of evidence, and the animosity of the OP, i'm honestly inclined to believe that the two had an agreement to see this thing through and get the money back from teh money order. I think the OP just got impatient. I'd really like to see some evidence from either side, but all I have right now is their word.

Why would I take your word? I don't know you, either, so why in anyone's name would I think it's "more possible" that Jay's in the wrong? Just because you've never heard of him until now? And who are you to be in the know with every single vendor in North America?

So... I've never heard of Kevin till now. That doesn't, to me, say he's not a trustworthy person. Just means I don't know him.

Jason, do you dispute the claims that Kevin made in his first post? Is this your idea of "truly trying to come up with the funds"?

For the last 9 months he has been promising to make good on his debt, but so far, I have not received it. He claims that the bank has promised to reimburse him for the fraudulently cashed money order, but again, I have received nothing. He has promised, several times, to "pay Friday when I get my next paycheck", but still, nothing. I have called him many, many times, and left messages, but he will no longer return my calls. He pretends to be gone when I call his home. On the rare event that I do catch him on the phone, he says he has been working "out of telephone range", etc...

Dragon's Den Herpetoculture

Did you ever think that if you had kept in communication with Kevin, instead of avoiding him, that he probably wouldn't have lost faith in you and not brought this to the attention of the BOI?

Who am I? I'm a professional herpetoculturist that's been in this business for nearly 15 years. Google my name if you want to know more. I know a lot of other longtime reptile breeders; they are my peers. That is how I know Kevin is trustworthy.

i think i will side with............ jay..... no kevin........ well maybe it should be jay......... or does kevin deserve my support more. actually i will side with the guy who is known better by somebody who is known better as well. maybe i should google who i should support. you guys are funny.

I think it should simply be left up to the authorities. I just don't like seeing people jump on something like this and demanding payment when there is no evidence from EITHER side of things. It sounds like Kevin may have freaked out a little, and Jason avoided. Both sound to be at blame of not dealing with the situation well.

One thing I've learned is to never trust people.... seems to have made my life much easier this way.

Kelli, just because you've been a herpetoculturist for the past 15 years doesn't mean that a) I should know who you are or b) that I would care.

:)

I've also been a herpetoculturist for.... 11 years? Maybe not so much a professional at this point, but I don't expect anyone to have to "google" my name, because I simply don't WANT the world to know who I am. I like the hobby for what it is, not for bragging rights.

I know exactly who Kelli Hammack and Kevin Dunne are. And i'm not gecko or beardie guy at all. Their names alone speak volumes. They indicate honesty, integrity and quality (3 words that lewenza seems to be unfamiliar with).

Pay the man! Save your whiney little beesh sob story for someone who cares...

That is why i said to you, "Google my name if you want to know more.". You already stated you didn't know who I was and I did not expect you to, as you seem to believe.

You asked me!

Why would I take your word? I don't know you, either, so why in anyone's name would I think it's "more possible" that Jay's in the wrong? Just because you've never heard of him until now? And who are you to be in the know with every single vendor in North America?

and I was attempting to answer. Bragging rights? Sheesh, I'm not even gonna go there with you.
