Melissa, I'm not sure if you have been feeling like yourself lately or not, but you need to check your facts. There was no "he said she said" when it came down to Jim LOSING a lawsuit and signing/writing a letter to the government turning his former business partners into the authorities AFTER he lost the lawsuit.

Those are facts. Not hearsay. Jim KNEW they were breaking the law, because he even helped write it! LOL.....

I find it really suspicious that a guy who claims he is really not even involved in the trade part of the hobby posted a glowing review of a purchase/trade he made here in the BOI exactly 4 days after he made this thread and many people accused him of just trolling.After a thread search of this forum I also found that that is the first positive review he has ever posted. HMMMMMMM.....

Fairly positive we understand. David exceeded the level of abrasiveness for a facebook group designed for opinionated, abrasive comments / individuals. Got it. I can’t say I am as shocked and appalled as you would like us all to be, but I am however glad you’ve come to the same conclusion many others have. That David is opinionated.

Does David’s character really have anything to do with the fact that Jim will conduct business with the shadiest of the shady in the industry? Why even get hung up on past debt / current debt / time frame of transaction with Frade? He made it clear he will conduct business with the worst anytime. To think he wouldn’t do a current deal with Frade is just silly. If that is fine with everyone defending Jim, than that is your choice. But for others, like me, who have the ability to pick and choose who we work with based on cool stuff like ethics, this is very important. Why attempt to take away David’s right to provide that information to all of us?

The lack of ability to be open minded in this thread is the only thing appalling to me. Had Jim come here and conducted himself professionally maybe we wouldn’t be at this point. But throwing dirt back and his comments against this forum are what escalated the situation. All traits I do not attribute to "good guys".

I know it's much harder to get away with twisting things here to suit your agenda than it is on FB.

In some ways I am glad, and a few said I would never see anything. I was raised in a Christian home. I received them yesterday in perfect condition. Mr Frades past his just that. His past. He is the one that has to face the world daily for his actions. Not I, but now Mr Beard feels he needs to judge me without the facts????

If you were to buy an animal from someone today and then went on to shoot and kill someone tomorrow-- it would make you a bad person. Not for buying the animal but for shooting and killing someone.

I did the heard work for you, here are numerous positive reviews I have posted over the years, contrary to your post above. You didn't look very hard if your search did not pull even ONE of these, lol......

I feel like I’m watching one of those knock down, drag out talk shows. I want to look away, but it’s like a train wreck I can’t stop watching.

So, short version?
Jim got some snakes as payment for an old debt from Manny and posted it on FB.
David posted some negative stuff about Manny on Jim’s FB page and Jim deleted it. Jim then told David he didn’t agree with him, and also, he knows other people with records.

David thought this was something he should notify the BOI about and posted an Info thread.
Much drama filled posting ensued.

My take on this? Neither Jim nor David is exactly the worst person ever. In fact I think the worst you can say is that:

Jim - was once involved years ago in reporting some people who were keeping illegal species. Doesn’t refuse to do business with people with past records, or at least won’t publicly agree with David about doing so.

David: makes sarcastic posts on FB. Made this thread. Once got a gecko from petsmart.

Is it just me, or this all this kind of a non-issue on either side???? David is judging Jim for something he said on FB. Jim is fighting back by pointing out things David has said on FB. Logan is judging David for stuff he posts on FB. Justin is arguing with Chris. Etc. And why do we keep coming back to FB? There is a reason I avoid that place.
