I've never purchased from Kelly but I have sold her many animals in the past. Anyone that has been in this biz and shipped the volume of animals I have knows that sooner or later the "order from hell" finds you and really works you over. One of Kelly's WAS that order... Everything went wrong from delays in shipping because of weather conditions to lost packages to some animals arriving DOA as a result to a civil war breaking out in Madagascar. Not her fault, not my fault, just Murphy's law...
We were dealing with Uroplatus henkeli and fimbriatus just as the Madagascar ban went into effect and these animals just weren't available for the longest time. Kelly declined the offer of a refund and chose to wait it out, with a very kind and understanding attitude and very pleasant email exchanges. We stayed in touch over the course of FIVE months, and not once did she get upset or demand anything. In fact, she purchased additional animals from me during that time and PAID for them, one of which was injured during the shipping and had to be replaced. I mean it when I say this was the order from hell! Her character is TOP NOTCH, no doubt about it.
Everyone has moved and everyone has lost something as a result. My last move was a year ago and I still have 2 boxes of business related material that I haven't got a clue where they are. I put them in the moving truck but God only knows what became of them. My point is this, moving is a pain and 3 weeks to locate something that's been missing is not unheard of OR surprising. Kelly did eventually find the receipt and provided the document you asked for, so she met her end of the deal, just not as fast as you would have liked. Every animal I've purchased came with a similar type of receipt, so I'm not sure what more you expect from her. Asking for $200 back until the female proves out is not even close to being realistic, even with your offer of sending a snake with the money in the future. What if there are complications or some other health problem that arises and the female dies? There are too many unknowns when dealing with animals for anyone to even bother responding to that type of request. I wouldn't have answered your email either under those circumstances because I probably would have said something that shouldn't be said.
Kelly advertised and sold a snake she purchased as 100% het albino and provided the documentation from the breeder that you requested. The way I see it, she lived up to her word and that should be the end of it. If the female doesn't prove out, Kelly got ripped off too and that makes her a victim as well, not a scammer.
I'm sorry you feel the way you do but I do see one course of action you could take. Post the female for sell for $100 and request the buyer sends you a $200 balance and a baby when she proves out. After all, if you expected her to do it you shouldn't have a problem with that arrangement.
I, for one, would not let this thread keep me from buying anything from Kelly. She's the type of person we should all be so lucky to do buisness with.
