    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. Yes, vets do do this. My vet had me injecting a couple of my snakes that were recieved in bad shape, but they make sure that you are comfortable doing so and know how, and give the option of bringing the animal in to have a vet do it. The vet I work at (different than my snake vet) also gives needles and meds for diabetic animals, for example. Just wanted to add this...
 
I'm imagining... that it would be pretty tough to kill a snake through poorly given injections, unless you actually hit a lung or something. Although I do know the meds can be ineffective if given on the wrong place on the body.

Yes I am sure a vet would do this 'to a trusting , knowledgable person'. Unless the vet is afraid of reptiles
Someone who knowingly goes into a deal and if he is a 'knowledgable' would surely recognise a resp infection severe enough to cause the demise of the snake two or three days later.
And if this is the snake that RL adopted out then shame on the seller.
In my opinion buyer and seller are to be avoided :hot:
 
Just to be clear, I wasn't defending either of these people in any way. If the snake still showed signs of a RI, the seller and buyer should've both known that it would require further treatment. In addition, a move in itself is pretty stressful, regardless of how good the temps are during this time, etc. Neither of them should have done the trade with the snake in that kind of condition... :(

hi ritchie first off greg is a lier.. the boa for was in an classified ad my
wife put out along with some other animals for sale but she was not for sale
she was too a good home only because unfortunately i noticed the Ri coming
on and i could not take her to the vet at the time i'm sorry.. so a couple
of people responded on her and as soon as i relayed her information they
were not interested but when greg knew the whole story and that we thought
she may be gravid he was still interested and he asked me if i sold cages
cheaper than pet shops.. i told him that i did have some smaller cages and
he offered some ball pythons he said he had..so he comes out and he said he
loved her instantly he held her and everything we talked for a while i
showed him some cages and i even gave him so lizards my wife thought she
wanted but did not for free now.. so he left happy.. 2 days he emailed
saying she died then he called.. ok we talked and he said he donated her
body for studies.. i felt bad and he wanted me to try and find him a female
boa but did not want the ball pythons back so i said ok... a few days past
and a guy was interested in my retics so we went out to his house and sure
enough i saw this boa and i said to the guy that boa looks familiar and my
wife agreed.. so i talked withe guy about and he said he got it from a local
pet shop.. he said the shop owner bought it from a guy that said he was
scared to give it med. and sold her... i feel bad i should have kept her and
my wife should have been more explicit in the add but she was not for profit
or to get any trades from.. she was going to what i believed was a good guy
that would take her to the vet.. i know we did wrong but she is not dead and
she is with a good guy

i can't post on fauna because my computer burned and i use a friends and he
is not a member..but intense herpoculture and chameleon counters maybe even
greg holland are one in the same. and they live locally i guess the feel we
are a threat to their business and we have only sold to less than 10 people
our whole 2 years.. we only do trades and sell what we don't need from them
or sell babies.. but people will believe what they believe like i said
before i'm sorry about the boa i should have written a bad check or
something to take her to the vet rather than cause all this mess.. i am a
good guy and mean well

ps.. I checked the IP addresses. And it seems that he truly is at someone else's computer
 
I talked to Kim a couple weeks ago and she told me that their home computer had a serious crash. They have been using computers at the library and with friends and family members in order to keep in touch with everyone.
 
This entire time I couldnt help but think Greg was at best, VERY DISHONEST.

Thank you for posting that Ritchie, and Billy, if you can in the near future, post here EVERYTHING that happened. It would be nice to know the new owner of the FEMALE Boa, and other info on this kid who was afraid of HER.
 
So long story short.

Greg H gets a free boa. Pretends it is dead but actually sells it to a pet store.

NO WONDER GREG H. WOULD NOT POST ANY DETAILS !!!!

1. I won't pick up the phone that way I have a record of everything. If you want to shoot the sh!t we can talk on the phone. But for any deals we do or anything relating to things on the BOI.....I prefer to have records of everything you say. Because even though I tell the truth and you obviously lie.....My words should really not hold any more weight than yours. Hence the need to keep records.

You even saw the need to make up a personality just to pretend to have someone coraborate your story.

I've read this entire thread, but I suspect you (Gregh) must have missed some of it, so just for clarification and to bring Gregh up to date:

1. Ritchie says he is not going to call you. He has said it MANY times. He has repeatedly said he wants you to type out whatever you have to say, and he will type out whatever he has to say. HE DOES NOT WANT TO TALK ON THE PHONE WITH YOU(There, now that nice and clear isn't it?)

2. Ritchie says repeatedly thourought this post that he did not sell that snake. He says he adopted it out, there is a BIG difference. (Get it? NOT sold, GIVEN)

So, now that is cleared up.

1. A. The prior owner says it has had a litter. Which means it is female.

B. I probed it. And it probed female.

C. According to your own post.....even your vet thought she was female.....and I quote........."He administered Gentimicin( spelling?) And said she would need it 3 more times once every 72 hours. Well the boa never made it that far, she / he died the 2 days after."

So if you probed the snake.....didn't you tell the vet it was a him?
And if you probed the snake the day AFTER you saw the vet.....Then why did you find it necessarry to probe a dead snake?

2. I DID NOT sell a sick snake. It was adopted out. I got absolutley NO MONEY $0.00. Also Due to the nose rub....I feel it was suceptible to RI (my experience and my opinion) Hence the shipping and moving could have stressed her to the point of getting sick.



There you go Greg. I answered your questions. Now answer mine.

1. Why did you pretend the snake was dead when in fact it was sold to the pet store.

2. And if the snake is sick......then isn' it YOU who sold a sick snake?

3. Why are you afraid to type out the details in public? Why are you trying to hide things by asking us to call you?

4. Why two different stories? In one post the snake died after it got shots. In another post it died two days later. And now we find out it is alive

Any way to verify who the new owner is, or the pet shop that this boa was sold to, Ritchie?

Personally, if it comes down to Billy or Greg, I couldn't tell you whom I would trust less. Right now I'm guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle of both stories.
 
Well intense herpetoculture is different from everyone.
As far as the boa being sold to the pet store by Greg.......
He alll of a sudden wanted to disappear when that was mentioned. No pictures of the "dead" boa. No vet reports.
Although I would prefer a picture. NOTHING.

So in this case I would go with my gut feeling.
