    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks Lucille, I actually called them and talked to a rep and they said since I've been a customer for so long and this is the first problem I've ever had, they decided to waive the 45 day limit and open the case. So hopefully this can get resolved. In the meantime, anyone who reads this and is thinking of ordering from ReptileUV, be very cautious and don't wait past the 45 day limit no matter what ReptileUV gives you as an excuse.

John I am happy for you!!! It would be so helpful to the many others in this thread if as part of the case you could send to Paypal a link to this thread. If they see the pattern of delays, they may be more lenient to others here who were given excuses until the 45 days passed, especially if they see the delay pattern as part of a fraud attempt.
 
I told the gal about this site and the post but she said that unless it pertains directly towards Paypal, they can't really use it. I did tell her though that many other people have had issues and she said they will check ReptileUV Paypal acct and take actions if needed. Here's to hoping it lights a fire under their caboose and they get their stuff straightened out.

Just ordered a 160 watt sb bulb got it within a couple days,great service for me time and time again thanks reptileuv ur the best.Sorry others had bad service at the same time.I only use there bulbs have been for years.
 
Pretty amazing. Since I filed with Paypal, ReptileUV called me and told me that it was Paypals fault cause of a faulty computer deal with them. Then they said the bulb was sitting on Bob's desk and rdy to go. Then USPS sent me a Click-N-Ship notification that ReptileUV has created a label and is scheduled for delivery on 10/21. Nothing, then on 10/22, I got another notification from USPS saying the same thing and again nothing. And since then nothing again. You got lucky or something but like I said, my experience leaves me feeling like this company is just a scam now. I ended up just getting a Powersun locally and my beardie is in heaven with it.
 
I bought two UVB bulbs for my Dragons and the money was taken out of my account $113.90 and I waited and waited oh and waited. more then a month went by and I called, left emails. With no reply.

I finally was emailed by someone who said she was helping the Owner out and told her the problem and then no response so then I realized I could file a complaint with PayPal (thank God I paid with them) and they had 10 days to deliver or my money would be back in my account. On the 10th day the bulbs were at my door... But one blew only after a month of use and I said the hell with it I am not dealing with them anymore.

They sucks as a company, no customer service, cant deliver their products and no company should with draw the money for a account till its ready to ship.
 
I don't understand how a company this bad can stay in business. It seems nothing has changed in the two years since I last had horrible service from them. While they may claim they have a better product, it is not worth the atrocious customer service to get it. They simply do not care about their customers. If they did, I'd have bought several more bulbs from them over the last several years.
 
Wow guess I'm not the only one who's been getting nothing but lie after lie after lie from these guys... I placed my order on August 30th and still don't have my $225 worth of bulbs yet they have had my money the whole time... they have sent me 3 different shipping labels none of them were ever dropped off at the post office. And yes I just spent over an hour on the phone with usps confirming that they printed labels and never dropped the box off. Cara the woman who claims to be his new secretary or whatever has been claiming that they were already on their way to me for weeks now... I'm so fed up with the lies and I'm disabled I don't have extra money to go buy more bulbs so I now have 2 babies without uvb for weeks this isn't fair at all these people should be forced to provide What we paid for then forced to shut down so they can't do this to others. I have all the emails I've sent and received and can post those too if it would be helpful.

Julia, if you paid via Paypal it looks like the transaction passed their deadline. I would suggest to EVERYONE who is waiting and has paid via Paypal that they open a dispute and escalate into a claim, this gives the company incentive to do more than talk.
Julia I suggest to you that you go to their site, scroll down to the 'contact' way at the bottom, and call them. Explain the situation, that MANY people are being, what appears in my opinion, deliberately scammed by repeat assurances that the item is on the way, which has stopped you and others from opening a dispute because you trusted them and waited for the item to arrive.
Further if your credit card is involved talk to your bank.
 
I don't understand how they still have a PayPal account after scaling so many people out of a lot of money! I'm filing a dispute with PayPal as soon as I get home if I check the tracking number I have and it still says it wasn't dropped off to the post office! I want the bulbs more then the money right now... if I have to file a claim it's going to be weeks till I see turns money so that's weeks without the right bulbs for my animals... it's not fair to the animals and I feel horrible
 
I hear ya Julia. I have gotten the same run around from ReptileUV. Luckily even though my dispute time was past the 45 days, they accepted it anyways since I have never had a dispute in over 15 years of using them(Paypal). I advise you call Paypal and talk to customer service and they might be able to open a dispute with them anyways as well. And yes the animals really end up suffering. I just ended up going locally and buying a Powersun for my beardie which she loves.

The funny part is the same day the dispute was opened, ReptileUV printed a USPS label but of course it never really shipped and they did the same the next day and that never shipped either. Before that, Cara wouldn't even return my calls and that day she did and said it was Paypals fault with something about their computers and that my light bulb was sitting on Bobs table rdy to go. Funny how that was back on 10/21/13 and here it is 10/29/13 and still nothing. Hopefully Paypal will resolve this and pull their ability to use Paypal.
 
My problem ran way past the 45 day cut-off. I used a debit card, so I couldn't work that either. I agree with Lucille. Anyone with an open order should file a dispute now before time runs out. That will either force them to refund you or ship the product you ordered.
 
I already tried to file a dispute with PayPal and I'm waiting for them to look into it and get back to me. In the mean time they sent an email to cara letting her know I filed the claim so maybe that will finally light a fire under her you know What and she will finally get my package to the post office. I really really hope that's how it works. There was a fire in my building and we had to live in a hotel with the animals for 5 weeks so I had to buy temp cages and setups which cost me a fortune. I'm a disabled single mom so I don't have much income. If I could go out and buy bulbs and just wait for my refund I would but I can't do that and still feed my daughter so I'm counting on them to do the right thing and just get me the bulbs I ordered.
 
Oh my problem ran past 45 days as well. I ordered my bulb back on 8/19/13. I was just saying Paypal has a 45 day limit to open a dispute but if you have been a long time customer or have a very good record with them, they might open a dispute for you regardless like they did for me. Just contact them by phone and explain what is happening. Of course if you didn't use Paypal, then its all moot.

I hope they honor your claim, if it has been more than 45 days they may or may not, they made an exception for John.
While you are waiting, if you are disabled and not working, perhaps you could arrange for them to be out in the sunlight for part of the day, in part of their cage.

Meanwhile, I suggest that EVERYONE who has waited more than a few days, open a claim if they paid by Paypal, and not listen to any promises this company makes that might make you wait past Paypal's deadline..
 
Thanks... all but 2 of my reptiles don't have uvb right now so I've been switching the lights around for a few hours a day so they still get some. It's way too cold here to take them outside unfortunately
 
This is the email I sent her at 9:30 last night...

The post office still doesn't have my package... my hubby had me file a dispute with PayPal which I'll happily cancel when I get my bulbs but at this point I need to protect my $213... I'd rather have the bulbs honestly but if your not going to send them I need to protect myself. If you don't have the 100watt bulbs send me 4 160watt bulbs I'd rather have those then nothing at all. Please do the right thing here I really wish I knew What I did wrong to you to deserve this... I thought I was really nice... I don't understand and I'm really hurt that after being so nice and patient why this is happening. Please don't ignore me now either... you still haven't answered my email from this morning telling you What usps told me even tho it says you viewed it. Please do the right thing. Please

Hopefully she answers this morning but I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm sure she knows I'm onto their game and serious now... PayPal should have already notified them that I filed a dispute and sent them What I sent to PayPal about the situation.
