A couple of questions or points worth responding to, in no particular order:
Dennis. There is no excuse for lies, half-truths, etc. All have been exposed in this thread multiple times, and completely dissected. In many threads, I often have only a specific interest that is not being addressed, so that is where I go. How many people need to call someone a scumbag before we have a consensus?
Jim O. Sometimes Sammy is reason for more laughter than he knows. Thanks for pointing that out.
Sam M. I could have tried to discuss all in PM, but then wouldn't the same apply to all here? There'd be no thread. While I was critical, I did not call Erik a scumbag, etc. He started the thread, and while my posts may have been contrary to his views, they were relevant with the transaction as he described it. I have complimented Erik as well. We often write for the larger audience. Can't do that with a PM, and limited time. I may be alone in posters here that he has a bit of culpability, generic to who the customer was, but its what I think. Also, you ask about the difference between PM'ing Wendy and Jeane vs. doing likewise to Erik. I had, and have, no prior relationship with Erik as a customer. I believe I am no different here in that regard, as I think many who post here trade PM's with topics with whom they have had some relationship with. There's been plenty of critical advice in my PM's, emails, etc. I'm not a miracle worker though. If Erik had interest, I would gladly talk to him about whatever concerns he had. If that is a concern Erik, PM me for a phone number.
Griz. You don't know the company I keep. I have business relationships with many. I have counsel and advice relationships with a few of those customers who want to continue to communicate with me, and to them I pull no punches for they are volunteers. They can stop emailing me at any time. The company I keep are my friends, and they are none of the above. I believe you referred to the Allen Belcher thread. Good analogy, and I thank you for seeing it. Never have met the man. Had no clue as to who he was before I became involved in that thread. Talked to him on the phone 3 times because of my participation there. Never bought from him. Never sold to him, even to this day. I was consistently accused of having a "hidden" relationship with him by some in this forum who don't understand principal.
Wes. I could care less. Sometimes you're a humorous bag of hot air, but hot air just the same. Time's running out huh ?
Lastly. I thank those who asked legitimate questions without the cheap shots. Even though many here will disagree with some or all of my positions, its good discourse when we can get beyond the passionate stupidity. A lot of you with whom I may disagree bring a good mind and logic to the discussion, and its worth writing here when it can be done without the silliness. Take note Sammy
