Well they must be ok, they have no negative trader ratings. A system only works if you use it. Just like with TSE, you only help them by not accuratley giving them a thumbs up or down.

Most people won't read through every post and will click on their profile to see an unblemished trading history.....

I would add to their trader rating, but am not a contributing member of this forum.

Also, I'm not saying all their deals were terrible... I'm just saying that there were many, many misunderstandings between us. I would still like to get them worked out if she would answer my emails.

Jeanne Best & Wendy Childs should be avoided!

I have had my own run-in with this pair regarding hybridizing Rankins Dragons with Beardeds to get "color" as well as some of their other questionable dealings and practices. Suffice it to say, they are to be avoided at all cost on any level!...MHO...this is not an unsubstantiated "slam"...have e-mail threads and documentation of my own as well as those of 2 reputable Rankins breeders to support my statements...very LONG story, so won't post any of the threads here...just thought I'd add to the list of growing warnings about these people...

The trader rating reflects individual deals. You wouldn’t be stating all their deals were bad. You would be just reflecting on your particular deal. It may save someone some headaches in the future.

After the flat out lies she told about your shipment, I admire your hopefulness in resolving the “misunderstandings”.

The last coorespondence I had with the Best woman, she was listing these monikers:

My involvement with her was on reptileauctions.com...since Wendy got more involved, not sure how many names they are using...gotta say given what I went through with them, I find the GunBroker.com a bit scary!

I think many people don't respond after a negative experience...
Here is the feedback I left and her response on reptileauctions.com--think it says a lot...this was just the beginning of my conflict with her and Wendy regarding what they are doing...went on for some time and the email threads are downright scary...

Well Jeanne, I have evidence in your own words and photos that proves you are continuing to misrepresent these animals. They are NOT pure Rankins and you know it. A complaint with supporting facts regarding your listing tactics has been filed and is being investigated. You need to stand behind your chosen project and stop misrepresenting HYBRIDS as PURE stock! Yes, if I had done more research before buying, I would have passed...interesting you seem to be blaming this on me when you are the breeder!

Here is an email that Jeane sent me this morning:
"Lynn, I got an email from Jim saying you wanted to speak to me. I have not heard a word from you since the below email saying you were refunding me. I emailed 2 more times then filed with Paypal. It was the appropriate thing to do, however I was aware they do not cover animals. My bank however says that what happened falls under "unfair business practices" and they suggest I charge back. I would request you refund me the agreed amount to my paypal account at [email protected] by tomm. If not then I will do the paperwork when I make my rounds doing errons tommorrow.

I have been extremely patient. You said you were refunding me 15 days ago.The gecko I am left with is a mALE by the way, not a female. Overall I am completely disatisfied and have gone backwards in vet bills now. To be left with an animal I had to buy another cage for to house solo and have no need for."

I did, indeed, as Jim of ChamCo to bespeak her for me because I haven't been able to get through to her. I emailed her twice trying to work things out. She wouldn't answer. I just wanted to make things right... but she's still threatening me (this email was sent from Jeane's account, but signed by Wendy, by the way). Also, there's a lot of stuff that doesn't make sense with this... The gecko that she says is male is clearly listed on her website as female. It's the gecko named MindEraser (and I can provide photo proof it's mine).

My question though... can she really go through the bank to do a charge back?

My answer would be, don't give this piece of trash a penny. She can certainly attempt to initiate a chargeback but I think you have plenty of proof . She is a scammer and a nutjob.

To head her off, you can contact your bank and give them the documentation to support your position on the refund.

Okay guys... I've done a lot of thinking about it, most of the day today, but also since this whole thing started. Today, I came to a conclusion that I'm sure many of you will disagree with: I paid Jeane and Wendy their money. I sent them the $75 that I told them I would send before they put the claim on me.

I did it because now no one, including them, can say that I haven't acted with complete professionalism in this matter. I never threatened them, even when they filed the claim, and though they threatened me many times with legal retribution. My emails were always courteous. I have done what I said I would do. I simply want this transaction to be done with... and now it is.

I would like to thank everyone for their support! You all have helped me towards my decisions and I appreciate that.

Lynn, With all due respect.....They did win.....They threatened you, You caved...I have read this whole thing from the beginning and there was never any proof that any of what you sent to these career criminals "DIED" MHO is that they got 2 live animals and got you for $75, so in essence Wendy/Jeane have won.

Maybe they feel like they got away with something with me. Let them. But the story has been told by more than one person and their reputation here---as well as in much of the reptile industry---is ruined. No one's going to be buying a gecko or a dragon from them for awhile.
