In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Beware of Jeane Best & Wendy Childs

Thanks for the addendum Dennis. This is a major one I had forgotten about. Not just tachy, or unethical like some I mentioned, but downright illegal (at least in some states).

Is Anne a topic in this thread? Or are you confused with the Anne Troffe thread? Maybe I missed her post, but hey...I got two pinkie fingers.

I hope this works right! This is Nicole Tucker (Clark Tucker's wife) with clarksgeckos. I myself was going to stay out of this one since last week I had the misfortune of dealing with the same thing. My brother-in-law made us aware that they were ditributing our diet. I looked on the site and to my surprise she had taken some of my copyrighted material and posted it on her site under my diet. She states that she got it off a bag she ordered from Erik W. But all these lies I dont belive it. She had asked me earlier in May if she could distribute and told her I didn't need anyone else distributing our product. After contacting her about the copyrighted material she completly went off on me and Erik W. (the maker of the material). Anyways to make a long story short, after checking her site I found that she had indeed taken it off however, she had in its place "Wendy's Crested Gecko Diet" and a brief discription. I was horrified and told everyone I was going to quit distributing it. She tried telling me it was just a joke. Im am so glad she found it funny. She almost cost everyone out there in the gecko world that use our product. This girl is completely off her rocker. Her mother called me telling me that this is her name and her business that I need to step back and look at whos name I am slandering, maybe she needs to sit down and look at who is REALLY slandering Jeane's name!

Hello Nicole,
It appears that these folks don't see anything wrong with making money from someone else's reputation and/or products. Of course, we personally cannot know whether it was Jeane's or Wendy's idea to do this. I think everyone of voting age realizes it is illegal to purchase something and repackage it with your name / claim of mfg.

Hmmmm, I wonder if we would get sued by General Mills if we bought a truckload of Cherrios and repackaged them with our info as the manufacturer??? I'd bet the farm we would.

At least one of them asked you about distribution - neither ever asked us! We have a few re-sellers currently, but they are nice enough not to compete with us on KS - where we have been selling our products/feeders for years.

I am still in shock over this, but my hubby is very upset. He spends many, many hours every month producing our gutload - and doesn't like the idea of someone else selling it as theirs. I am sure you feel the same.

If Jeane claims she was unaware that her daughter was breaking the law - well, I simply find that hard to believe.
They live in the same house, same phones, same business - right? I think a judge would find both responsible.

" And on the rare occasion I'm not fast enough and he leaves before I can get the door,(which is one time in 5 years) I call UPS, have them call the driver with my # and when he calls me, I find out where he is going to be next and meet him there. There's no shame in signing for a package in a parking lot......"

that is exactly what happened and what i did! The log time at the call center was 2 minutes after they drove away. I was on and off the phone with them for over 4 hours. That was the soonest they got MY call senter to call me back and get me and the driver to meet. I was there and witing for 1 hr. During this time I also called Erik and asked him to call and ask them to help and to tell them it was "LIVE" because he informed me the package was NOT marked so they were unawareof the URGENCY.

I am on the phone now to get a copy of my waiver. Yes I have one :) BUT GUESS WHAT????? Erik DOES NOT! I just called and they say he does NOT have a small animal live harmless account! I will post mine as soon as they email it here. I am still on hold.

No disrespect but this is eatting away at my last brain cells.. But if you seen him/her driving away why didn't you jump in a car and chase the truck down ??? 2 minutes on the phone was 2 minutes longer for the truck to excape JMO.

Oh Wendy, trying to deflect attention away from all that you have done is not going to work. Your list of dirty laundry left unanswered is the issue here. Just ignoring it is not going to make it go away or make the community forget about it.

You are a lying unethical scumbag. No one here is ever going to do business with you (except Jim), and everyone will be sure to follow you around and make sure people are very aware of this thread. That way they can make an informed decision on just what kind of person they are dealing with. A lying unethical scumbag.

Why would he have a waiver from DHL? He shipped UPS, which by the way no longer requires you to have a waiver to ship geckos.

So, out of everything posted since the last time you were viewing this thread, that's your best response? To try and turn things around again on Erik?

I have talked with my local UPS hub and they said that they would put it on my account that every over night package is live..

PS: You dont need to have a "Waiver" for UPS....

I dont have time to get past page 56 of the ramblings. I have shipping to do. They said a carrier will drop off a copy of my waiver to me tomm. But Jeane is picking one up on the way to work anyways. If sshe returns with it at 1:30 am I will scan it and mail it. Both offices are side by side. The processing plant here has a copy. We have been shipping with DHL through Unishippers for well over 2 years now. We used to use Fed Ex. The $100 insurance held harmless wiver has always been on file. Anyone can call DHL and ask, they will verify it.

I VOIDED TOM OF ANY GUARANTEE. Hence we were able to get the package within 7 hours shipped to Jeane work. And it was NOT within violation of any of the USPS TOS. In fact he didnt mark the package at all if you read his emails, other than the red inspected tape..The temps were 58 - 61 degress. No cool pack was requested, promised, or needed. Ventelation was all I requested. I DID NOT make any such agree ment with Erik.

Hence they all arrived perfect. THANKS AGAIN TOM!

1. Advertising geckos she was selling as being Alex Hue's, when they weren't. (not his lines, his actual geckos)
2. Selling, and divulging trademarked? ingredients for gecko food. That wasn't hers.
3. Selling someone else's roach food and roach guard, when it's not hers.
4. Can't hear a knock, but hears the truck drive away (good one John).
5. States can't find e-mails due to thousands of spam...yet screen shot seems otherwise (shows about 80, and most are fauna notifications).
6. States emphatically that she insisted that DHL be used. e-mails appear to say otherwise.
7. States the packing method sucked, yet doesn't appear to have a problem with the same methods used during another shipment.
8. Uses and tells others to use DHL, when I doubt that she has a written waiver, as she appears to use them through some "portal" or second hand shipper.
9. Has history of being rude and vulgar.
10. Statements are starting to show up from other parties, that may show a "your animals arrived in crappy condition" kind of refund mindset.
11. Stealing photos?
12. States that USPS no longer ships live herps, because they contract their flights to a carrier that prohibits them, yet uses them, or recommends them herself (to save money?)
13. gives the OP in this thread crap about "the box only said perishable, and the geckos might still be alive if it had stated live on the box" yet apparently labels the exact same way.

Anything else?
It's a shame such frivolous threads were started
At the very least, IMHO- tacky, unethical, and very poor business practices.

Here you go Wendy.... that should get you started.

Here is some more Wendy. Not to mention COUNTLESS LIES who have told in this thread trying to cover your ass.

Here's another direct question for you Wendy, I'll type slow so that you can follow my logic here....

1) It's been established that you knew a UPS shipment was enroute.

2) You had a tracking number for said shipment (You can type the tracking number in their website and it will tell you if your package is on a truck out for delivery).

3) You stated yourself that you have had problems in the past with the UPS deliveries (from all the people you refuse to do business with that ship UPS).

4) You stated yourself that you have a 5000 sq. foot house with castle like doors that make it nearly impossible to hear a knock from anywhere in the house but the room nearest the door.

5) You stated that you are unable to watch the door for the entire time (1 hour and 37 minutes from when the delivery left UPS to when they attempted delivery at your door) because you needed coffee.

6) You stated that there was more than one person in the house with you at the time the delivery was attempted. She couldn't bring you coffee during that 1 hour and 37 minutes, or watch the door for you while you went to get the coffee?

So I ask you, with all this knowledge at your fingertips, and your self proclaimed concern for the well being of the animals, how is it that you missed the first delivery attempt? And how is it Eriks fault?

I look forward to seeing how you answer this question, as I'm sure are many others....

Here you go, since you are sooo busy, I found one of several direct questions that I asked you....
