    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've been wondering that since the time of your original post, Rich. What are the odds that the snake he took a picture of has since come down with symptoms? A few members commented that in his pic the snake didn't look as healthy as the other, so maybe it was already starting to show signs?

Course, then I got thinking about conspiracy-theory kind-a stuff that probably shouldn't be offered here (not yet, anyway).

I'd very much like to hear from Matthew.....

Gosh Joe,...you guys need to eventually get into some of these Latin American "zonata" (L.t.abnorma) when I can eventually produce some...LOL! No ZD worries and the killer high ring-count is almost virtually identical for the same eye-pleasing asthetic value. :D :D :thumbsup:

LOL. Yeah that my be the ticket Doug!! A pulchra with an extra nose band. I like it!! I hope I dont see any others in the future with this crap (in my collection as well as others) now that the "suspect" animals are removed. However, I am not counting on that. This is why I keep several other species!!! Hell, getula probably would just season a mouse with ZD and laugh.

Tony, I am not sure things go in a specific order. This snake currenty "looks" perfect, with no shed issues. ( the current one ) The agalma I had did the same thing and weeks later the skin issue starting showing up. The parviruba started with the bad skin and I did not wait long to throw him in the freezer, so I am not sure when the limp stuff would have started with him, or even it even would happen.

On a serious note though, I sure feel bad for you and others having to deal with that dreaded issue. It sucks fighting something and being paranoid when you don't ever know when it could rear it's ugly head.

i am very happy to read that jerry did/has refunded stu HALF his money imho its kinda lame stu has to eat the PP charges as well as pay for shipping but i guess its the thought that counts as it sure isnt the seller taking care that his customer is happy... oh wait jerry has already shown he doesnt care about his customers or all of this would have never been here!
 
The first half of the refund ($1500) cleared my PayPal account during the night. $1456.20 cleared and as I stated previously I will absorb the PayPal fee of $ 43.80 and pay for shipping the snakes back.

Jerry-I will send tracking data on the shipment once it is booked. Thank you for making good on the first half of the refund as agreed. I will be looking forward to the balance ($1600) by the end of this month

Holy crap!@#! Took long enough. If my reputation has been smeared beyond belief, I personally would refund the buyer's money more expeditiously. I guess Jerry likes all the negative attention. Please us posted on the rest of the refund. Thanks!

What's even funnier (well, not really....more like pathetic) is that YOU (thomas davis) are precisely what I was talking about when I made those comments. See, unlike most all other posters on any of the forums across the country, over the course of about 7 years now I have never ONCE saw a post of yours on ANY of the forums that was ever even slightly informative, helpful, or had any kind of substance to it other than to make insulting comments to people you don't get along with whenever you possibly can. And we can all add this post of yours to that never-ending list as well. For someone to constantly troll and seek out certain people like you always do to make your little childish comments is the true definition of a real LOSER!!! It's beyond me how a so-called "grown man" could ever stoop himself to this childish level, but I guess only you know the deep-seated twisted reasoning behind what you do.

I have to admit I haven't read all posts so I don't know if it was mentioned how you paid in the first place, but if it was by paypal there is no fees if a refund issued properly. Even a partial refund isn't charged fees.
 
I'm pretty sure they were beyond the refund period....Stu said this has been going on since early Dec.
 
Jerry-I sent you the tracking number yesterday when I shipped them. Here it is again in case you didn't get it: 1Z22YT64NT91162492. If you check on it through the UPS tracking site you will see it was delayed in Illinois due to aircraft mechanical problems. I called UPS earlier today and they said it is back in transit and will be delivered tomorrow morning.

Stu, as you know we've texted back and forth today. All animals were received & promptly taken to a friend's home nearby to play fair into the ZD theory and take appropriate precautions. I was surprised to see that one b/w Sierra male was in perfect condition (save for one eye that looked a little dry but everything else was perfect -- no dryness whatsoever w/ smooth skin and no motor issues). The other b/w male had shed in the cup & appeared a little dry but nothing at all like the original photos posted. His head scales were smooth and belly scales looking superficially wrinkly (small lines in the scale would best explain until I can get a mecro-shot of it). The female hets are okay, one being ion perfect condition and the other female also having shed while in the cup and appearing much the same as the aforementioned male. Suffice it to say, there is a significant improvement overall in their appearance. Will be in touch again at month end to complete our transaction. As for the snakes, well, they will simply remain elsewhere and observed diligently over time for any ongoing improvement, if any, which I am hopeful for. And no, these will not be re-sold. On a side note (and not wanting to be anyone's messenger, so I agreed to do this only once with him), Matthew has advised me that his animals remain in perfect condition and thriving very well. He asked me to mention that his photography is really bad & assures those wondering that the animals are perfectly fine & not demonstrating anything like what Stu has experienced. He also states that he rarely goes into the computer & doesn't really want to get involved in this matter. That being said, any further correspondence from Matthew will be from him directly. If he chooses not to participate, then that has nothing to do with me.

Your word, jer, is not of much value. Saying that someone told you something doesn't carry much weight with anyone who knows you.

How about posting some pictures of these snakes you just got back from Stu? Some verification of what you say really is necessary if you want to be believed.

OK, then he most certainly could send it as a "gift" which will not take out the fees.

Glad the animals look to be in decent shape, Jerry; but your description of things SEEMS to be downplaying the legitimacy of Stu's concerns - intentionally, or not. Regardless of whether this turns out to be ZD, I think most readers can relate to the idea that when one is paying $3100 for a handful of snakes, one doesn't want issues.

Stu - not too long ago, a question was posed to you about your impression of the animals when you first unpacked them. I may well have missed your response...but, if you have not yet answered, your thoughts would be appreciated.
