In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Beware of VINCENT VELCI ( Animal killer )

Personally I think the seller kept his cool pretty well throughout the whole ordeal. Yeah he called him a name or two but that was after he was verbally assaulted. And the sellers wife was cussed and yelled at by this irate individual. If that was my wife I can say I'd probably be quite upset and would have had a few words for Mr Vince. As a breeder and a buyer I would NEVER get po'd at anyone that required a signature for delivery. That says to me that they care about the animals they produce and want to be certain they arrive safely. In my opinion he's lucky the seller didnt require him to pick up his animal at the Fed Ex offc. In these hot temps that is always a good idea also.

When the man threatened to kill an innocent animal that says all I need to know about that persons character. And based on Mr Veli's other boi threads I think the seller has been forthcoming and honest about what was said.

Well after talking to fedex today, I found out he refused the package at his door. So much for him claiming that they never knocked or rang the as he did in his email. He never had any intention of picking up the animal if he refused it at the door. Thankfully I reacted as I did or she definatley would be dead because they would have let her sit and then sent her back ground. That is what the lady at fedex told me. But since they knew it was an animal they sent it back express. I really do not understand the lies or the situation at all.

I am so glad you got her back safely. Is she in as good condition as when you sent her? Bet she was VERY hungry and thirsty!

Jim, Thank you for sharing your experience.
I am so glad that your female Leachie made it back, to you, safe & sound!

Buyer's remorse. In all honesty, I would refund him everything except shipping if he refused the package without speaking to me first... especially after playing the games he did.

I think I'd like to put Vinny in a box, then make sure I poke lots of air holes in it. Lots and lots of air holes - with a 50-cal, and then maybe an M203 grenade launcher, followed by running it over with one of my trucks like this 'un:

Jim you're a first class dude. Sorry you had to deal with such an Ahole. The problem is this kind of "customer" Is getting more common. We have to stick together in this industry and find a way to get rid of these idiots. Fauna BOA is the best we got. Thanks Jim and Fauna!

i can hardly believe this crap. you delt with this very well. i would of had to go pay him a visit...glad your critter made it back safe. i wouldnt refund him anything to tell you the truth. if he denied that package at the door something is seriously wrong with this jerk. you held up your end of the deal.

OK, quit with the personally derogatory name calling, please. I've already had to dish out infractions for this activity here. We're trying to keep discussions on a professional level, and this sort of talk just degrades the entire process.

I wish I could get money out of him but he paid with paypal and filed a not received claim.
so paypal has the money held now.
I have 10 days to respond and I plan to use 9 of those to make sure it takes as long as possible for him to get his money back plus then I plan to add as much info as possible to make it drag out as long as I can.

Is what makes me sick is this guy refused the box and lied to us telling us he was going to pick it up, I think he had every intension to kill this animal because he refused the box and probably knew we would not get it back for 3 to 4 days and he knew he could file a claim and get his money back.

Then on top of it he called fedex a couple days later and tried to get us in trouble for shipping a animal and fedex had already knew it was a animal because we told them.

Im lost..why even go through the bother to buy an animal and play some sick game? What kind of a person does this?It really boggles my mind!Anyway glad you got the lizard back safe and sound jim!

We are lost also, it does not make any sence on what he did and how he acted about it when he refused it.

My thought is he did not like that there was not enough holes in the box so he refused it.

He should have taken the box, if it was dead he could still file a claim.

I am glad he didnt after finding out what kind of person he really is.

Just shows how much he knows. I never punch holes in an insulated box. I dont care how high the temps are. You use cool packs. Your just defeating the purpose of the cool pack by punching holes. Your releasing all the cool air in the pckg by doing that. Anyone thats shipped before in the heat knows that.

Hope that gecko recoverd for you and that the next buyer is a stand up person.

The holes in the box thing is a dumb thing to say... like that means you're a bad seller. And yeah, I'm one of those folks that doesn't poke holes. The animals don't need it, and it makes the package more susceptible to air exchange.

I think you stayed pretty calm during all this, Jim. Good job, and I'm glad you got your animal back.

I'm still trying to fathem, why go threw the trouble? I mean, this guys story has changed from one thing to another and yet he still has not come here to defend himself. If i had the money in hand not paypal, i wouldn't refund a dime for the verbal abuse that your wife had to go threw. I'm glad to see the animal made its way back to you unharmed. This guy just needs a good spanking with a hockey stick, with a hockey player doing the spanking. Hopefully this thread will make it's way into future suppliers for him so they will refuse to sell to him.

Jim

Now that you have the animal back and in good shape i assume you are refunding the purchase price? You definitely have no reason to refund shipping but the fact that the guy is insane doesn't mean you get to keep the guy's money

Sorry...just read post #30. Send PayPal a copy of the fedex history on the shipment. I had a similar problem a year or so ago and all they refunded was the actual purchase price after I sent them that and a copy of the invoice showing the purchase price and shipping charge.

I hate to be the one to say it, but you're better off just returning the money ASAP. Delaying the return will only hurt someone with little to no money and you, because it looks quite vengeful. Of course you are free to do as you please, but I would still like to come out the bigger man.
