In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Beware of Zach ashwood ( bad news )

Keith ...

Your full name is in your user sidebar, so that is sufficient to satisfy the full name rule here. No need to keep signing your posts as long as your full name is already there :)

I think the statement from the vet on the condition will be needed before the seller can be expected to take action, though it doesn't look good. Sorry for having to deal with this.

Starvin Marvin ... very clever, Michael ... and fitting! And the highest regard for your seeing the snake gets the care it needs, despite Zach's insistance that he just needs a good shed. Anyone could see the poor snake was likely suffering, was ill-kept and in bad shape when you received it.

The animals always come first.

the vets receptionist said whats his name ?? I said he dosent have a name ... she said he needs one so I said ok he is starvin' marvin and yes indeed he is !!!

Well, now almost 800 dollars out plus what you spent on shipping. This is why...so many drop out of our hobby. So much why internet sells are down a bit..and most ppl are getting more afraid to buy. Because ppl like Zach who care obviously more about money in their pocket. The only ppl defending him are ppl who can't read or see, pretty much.

As far as that one guy stating oh, you should have took it to the vet the first day, sorry...it doesn't exactly work that way..There's no way any person I know, unless they got a lot of money to flush down the toliet is going to right off the bat take it to vet and be out a lot of money the orginal seller prob isn't going to cover. Mike has done everything he can do up to this point...and people saying he needs to take it ...might want to wake up and realize some people can't up and leave their jobs. Jobs are VERY hard to find atm, and if you have a good one, and that's how you feed your family, your animals and yourself, it's best to do it the safe way and take it whenever you get off time. I don't codone him at all for doing what he had to do..as he's doing his best IMO.

72 grams..that's pathetic.....and at least there is now proof in pictures, of both animals in his care, that are in good shape, tha takes care of the "he might not be doing it right" statement, from speaking with Mike over the phone, I pretty much got the vibe he's not an idiot...soaking a snake isn't rocket science...

Mike, I doubt Zac is going to do much of anything..because.....that's how scam artists work. I can't believe how convienced he is that nothing is wrong with this animal...that part is what cracks me up.

And I don't think Mike you have bashed anyone, while getting angry and cussing someone does not help, I don't blame you...I'd prob..got in my car..and DROVE to the shippers address and found him myself. And took care of this face to face. Anyone live in Texas...lol

But..I'm crazy like that..no ones going to rob me of 500 dollars and get away with it.

Zac....you have ruined your rep, which trust me...will follow you for years. I talk to ppl about ppl and meet new herp ppl all the time, and the things you do...go by word of mouth..lots of ppl here lurk and read these threads. Ppl who might buy from you...come here...and read....and guess what..means no more money in your greedy pocket. No more sick animals sold to unexpecting, customers a bunch of states away.

Mike to bad you didn't find my ad sooner, I could have got you a nice healthy fat sunglow for half of that, as well without the hassle. I sold two last nite and the guy was super pleased course he saw them in person. I just hope the same goes for you on your next purchase whatever it may be...Not all of us in internet sells are thieves...and wrong doers.

Any post treatment picts of Starvin Marvin where they able to get him shed out properly? Does he appear to be any more alert and active?

Ok I got the snake back from the vet here is the Bill not the estimate .. unfortunatly the vet was very busy with an emergency ( i think it was a k-9 dog ) there was 3 cop cars in the lot .. The Vet gave me panacur to inject into his thought every day and said he will give me a written statement of the snakes poor health on sunday (his next day in the office) and he also said he will try to post to this thread himself he is a member here also so is it stands the snake is home .. was given IV fluids and got an enima ( i guess to get a stool sample ) now we can only wait and see if Zach does the rite thing

If your Vet gave you panacure to treat the snake after he did a fecal exam it means your snake had either hooks or round worms. So not only did Zach send you a dehydrated and emaciated snake it was also infested with worms, which might actually be the cause of the emaciation, dehydration and refusal to eat. Perhaps I'm wrong in this and if I am I'm sure the Vets on this forum will correct me but you usually don't treat for worms unless worms are present and given a fecal was done it seems pretty conclusive.

He may have given the panacur as an appetite stimulant first and as a preventative measure second.

Starvin Marvin is probably more stressed out than he's ever been right now. He went through a lot at the vet today, being handled and poked and prodded as much as he did. At 72 grams, just a little bit of stress could kill him.

Keep him as dark, quiet and warm as possible and good luck Mike. Hang on, Marvin! :)

Yeah but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Panacure is not a broad spectrum dewormer it only treats a couple of different worms. If he was deworming as a preventative something like Strongid would have been given since that's more of a broad spectrum dewormer, and I know Metronidazole acts an appetite stimulant but I've never heard of Pancure. Again I might be wrong, I'm just speaking from experience.

he looked ok at the vets and then he hung out in the water a bit and curled up now he is just streched out and looking half dead he s warm and ill turn off the lite in the room

I think you are on the right track - I think the panacur was just a preventative measure, not that I am a vet nor have I seen the animal but from my expereince if the snake is as bad off as Marvin seems to be I would question the use of any unnecessary meds at this point. :shrug01:

Sadly starvin marvin is DEAD !!!!!! I went to check on him at 2 am and he was gone I hate to have to do this but here uis the proof so Mr ashwood do you still maintain theres nothing wrong with the snake a full vet report will follow sunday thanks to everybody who was pulling for marvin to pull out of this
