My post is a bit tardy, but I just heard about the thread.
I have been doing business with Big Cheese Rodents for nearly ten years. I cannot think of one single time they ever made me angry. Mistakes? Sure. When you sell millions of mice a year, how can you possibly say there could never be a mistake. Did any of the mistakes make me angry enough to report them to the BBB? No way. I have perhaps 5% of the customers they have, and I can't begin to list all the mistakes I've made over the years.
Chad, Chris, and every other person with whom I've conversed at Big Cheese have always been 110% professional and polite, but can't we all say that we have a threshold of tolerance for one thing or another? I know people with very short fuses, that fly off the handle and over-react when most people would not. When I first read all the details of how inconvenienced the complainer was, I noted that there were enough exaggerations so as to appear that this was an anger issue more than a bonafide mistake on BC's part. Quarter of a tank? MAYBE?? I guess that barely over $3 a gallon in the DFW area may qualify as "almost $4", but the exaggeration speaks to an "anger management" issue. Regarding the perceived rudeness of Chris, I have never ever heard anyone say that about Chris, but I've had irate customers that have taken me to a level I've never before been. If the anger in this thread by the complainer is any indication of what may have gone on in Chris' office, I think I could have lost my temper in a hurry.
Whether any of this happened, I just wanted to say that I cannot ever imagine Chris (or anyone at BC) ever being rude to ANY customer. If indeed something even a fraction of this really did happen, after reading the blood pressure in this complaint, I know I would have tossed a few insults back at someone being unreasonably rude to me. As I said, the obvious exaggeration about $3 and pennies being almost $4 per gallon tells me that a very short fuse was the real problem here.
In conclusion, I've sent no less than 500 of my customers to BC in the past decade, and will continue to do so. I know honesty and professionalism when I see it, and not one of my customers ever had anything but praise for BC and their staff (especially Chris - since he deals with most of the BC customers). I am very proud to know them, and they will always get my mouse dollars. My personal experiences with them is all I need to be able to say this, but when hundreds of my customers constantly praise their product quality, prices, and customer relations, I'm doubly convinced that the real problem here may have been a very bad temper on the part of a complainer - who kept saying all of us didn't understand what they were saying in this thread. If nearly everyone sided with BC in this thread, it's obvious that perhaps someone other than Big Cheese is really at fault here.
