In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Big Cheese Rodents is HORRIBLE

I certainly don't have the skill, and wouldn't have taken the time to do it myself. All I had to do was type in the text and tell it what to do!

Back on topic...I think Big Cheese has done a great job in handling this and am interested in hearing whether the OP is satisfied enough to remain a customer of theirs.

Big Cheese Wins!!

I have used Big Cheese Rodent Factory for over a year with zero problems! It is 40 miles from my house to their door and I have never been late. Chris has always been very nice to deal with on the phone and in person. The owner Chad was nice to offer them a deal on their next order...if they don't want it they should just find their rodents somewhere else....end of story!:NoNo:

Thanks Chad and Chris for the Great Quality Rodents!

Thumbs Up to Big Cheese.. .

My post is a bit tardy, but I just heard about the thread.

I have been doing business with Big Cheese Rodents for nearly ten years. I cannot think of one single time they ever made me angry. Mistakes? Sure. When you sell millions of mice a year, how can you possibly say there could never be a mistake. Did any of the mistakes make me angry enough to report them to the BBB? No way. I have perhaps 5% of the customers they have, and I can't begin to list all the mistakes I've made over the years.

Chad, Chris, and every other person with whom I've conversed at Big Cheese have always been 110% professional and polite, but can't we all say that we have a threshold of tolerance for one thing or another? I know people with very short fuses, that fly off the handle and over-react when most people would not. When I first read all the details of how inconvenienced the complainer was, I noted that there were enough exaggerations so as to appear that this was an anger issue more than a bonafide mistake on BC's part. Quarter of a tank? MAYBE?? I guess that barely over $3 a gallon in the DFW area may qualify as "almost $4", but the exaggeration speaks to an "anger management" issue. Regarding the perceived rudeness of Chris, I have never ever heard anyone say that about Chris, but I've had irate customers that have taken me to a level I've never before been. If the anger in this thread by the complainer is any indication of what may have gone on in Chris' office, I think I could have lost my temper in a hurry.

Whether any of this happened, I just wanted to say that I cannot ever imagine Chris (or anyone at BC) ever being rude to ANY customer. If indeed something even a fraction of this really did happen, after reading the blood pressure in this complaint, I know I would have tossed a few insults back at someone being unreasonably rude to me. As I said, the obvious exaggeration about $3 and pennies being almost $4 per gallon tells me that a very short fuse was the real problem here.

In conclusion, I've sent no less than 500 of my customers to BC in the past decade, and will continue to do so. I know honesty and professionalism when I see it, and not one of my customers ever had anything but praise for BC and their staff (especially Chris - since he deals with most of the BC customers). I am very proud to know them, and they will always get my mouse dollars. My personal experiences with them is all I need to be able to say this, but when hundreds of my customers constantly praise their product quality, prices, and customer relations, I'm doubly convinced that the real problem here may have been a very bad temper on the part of a complainer - who kept saying all of us didn't understand what they were saying in this thread. If nearly everyone sided with BC in this thread, it's obvious that perhaps someone other than Big Cheese is really at fault here.

ANOTHER THUMBS UP FOR BIG CHEESE.

I have dealt with Big Cheese from the beginning. They have always been great to me and I would do anything for them. I think this is what making a Mountain out of a molehill is. When I had any problems with anything I just let them know and it was fixed immediately.
I have never seen either Chris, Chad or Linda ever be rude to a customer and I can't see them doing that. They have treated me respectfully and I respect them. If I had their job I would probably loose it on some customers. I think this has just gotten blown out of proportion. I think if you were going to be late on a pickup you should have called them before you left.

DaveyFig that was genius, and that is exactly why I fear the Internet. Between those videos & people's photoshop skills, no one & no situation is safe. Well done sir, well done. Anthony Capponetto has 3 or 4 of those type videos satiring market crashers, forum moderators & crested Gecko forums, worth the watch.

To stay on topic, I have been buying frozen rats from Big Cheese for two years now, I have never had any issues with them. Product is quality, customer service has always been great for me. I hope to pick up a large order around NARBC time when I am back in the Ft. Worth area.

Big Cheese is a great place. They take appointments so local people dont have to pay shipping. They have always helped me with orders and I have never had an issue with quality. Keep doing what you are doing up there guys. Ill be going to you guys for life

I did not have a good experience with Big Cheese either, customer service is the worse. Since then I have been using American rodent. They actually treat you like a human being.

I have been buying from Big Cheese since pretty much the beginning. I have never had any problems with anything and they have treated me great. I'm sure that's how they always do business. Of course I will continue buying from them.

I've had good transactions with them over a few orders. The rodents have arrived clean and appeared fresh. I've been satisfied as far as size goes except for my last order; some 'large' mouse pinks were the same size as what they sell as 'small', and a pack of weaned rats were the same size and weight as their rat pups. These items technically fell within their guidelines of weight variation at the minimum, but I have come to expect more consistency from Big Cheese.

For shipping, my orders have arrived with a generous amount of dry ice and they insulate well. Transit has taken up to three days (perhaps four – I can't recall) and I've never had anything arrive that wasn't deeply frozen. I can't comment on customer service as I haven't had a reason to use it. The only improvements I would like to see are resealable packages and labels with date of packing.
