    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, I've seen a swing in votes here regarding certification since yesterday. I'm sure some people haven't had a chance to change or cast their vote yet whether it be good or bad. Here's the current poll.

The only thing sad and pathetic is dancing in the blood of your opponent after you've defeated him. It gave me no pleasure to vote Bill a bad guy but it was completely warranted and necessary. Its obvious by the mixed emotions that Bill meant something to some of us and we are still trying to deal with nature of the betrayal at different levels. We know how to read statistics and we know where to vote. We are mature enough to deal with this situation without keeping some lame ass bowling score.
 
Bill was one of the people that when I cliqued (that was for your Rich) on "New Posts" and seen his name, I would read that thread regardless of what forum it was in. Bill was one of the people here whose opinion carried some weight with me and *might* get me to rethink my own.

Well think about Tim Bowles....but not too hard. Here was a guy that posted a lot and was quick to jump on a bad guy, then people found out what a bad guy he really was/is when he scammed me out of $2,500.00 and almost $6,000.00 total! This scammer is now totally out of business and the community and it only took one scam and a lot of follow up nonsense to do it.

Bill's deal though not quite as big as Bowles still had the same components....

Sorry Bill but I personally don't think that anybody should feel either bad or
have pity toward you for what you have done. You may be a good person in general but such a blatent act is rediculous and you should be labeled a bad guy for the act itself even if you have been a good guy in the community in the past. Am I making any sense?

It' pretty clear where I stand but I'm not going to vote. The reason is simple. Once I cast my vote Bill's certification is one vote closer of being removed (rules). That's exactly what Bill wanted in the first place. After all what is worse to have his "busniess" displayed with negative votes or have it alltogether deleted? There are big name breeders that are not in that list. My vote is here and in bold if you want to see it.

I am NOT giving Bill a pass on this one.

I, and I speak ONLY for me, want to know what hasn't been said yet. It won't change anything, most likely, but I still want to know more.

You all dance whatever dance you want. He was one of us and now he's not. That in itself is enough for me. There is no sweeping under the rug, I simply choose to NOT crucify him. That he warrants it seems to be well established. However, IF some of YOU are now trying to tell ME what to do and whom I must do it to, I say PISS OFF.

He's totally screwed himself over, I think he knows this, deep down where it counts. Is NOT that knowledge the goal with most of the scumbag scammers we encounter? It is with me. He knows. I'm done.

I agree I am a bad guy and what took me so long to accomplished was destroyed in one mindless act, so having been on the otherside of the fence I do understand what is going on

Sorry....not that I am a therapist, but I think you might want to spend more time making things right with Lee instead of telling everyone here how sorry you are and how you screwed up post after post. The only thing you did to everyone here is lie to them. Lee....well you stole from him, lied to him, and then almost had people thinking he was the bad guy when in reality you were. He is the one you should be so remorseful to. Good luck!

Do yourself a favor. Stop posting. It was not a mindless act. Maybe a mindless act is that of a kid that grabs a snake from a show out of impulse and runs away. Yours was premeditated, you kept it, you claimed for the money, and then you attempted to sell it. Maybe give if you have given the boa away or auction it for someone in need, maybe that could’ve been viewed as repenting. But selling for profit after 3 months had gone by? Give me a break! I repeat, do yourself a favor. Stop posting and disappear for a while. Maybe then some people will start to forget and forgive.

Well Chuck, first of all I'm not dancing in the blood of an opponent after having defeated him. Bill defeated himself just fine thank you and I had little to do with that. The purpose of my posting results was not to crucify Bill but merely to get the poll moving. If you go back and read it with a less "critical" (pun intended Critical Bill) approach you'd see I merely requested everyone become involved and vote one way or another, not necessarily my way. I've seen numerous people reading this thread yet the poll remained unanswered after Dennis said the poll would determine any change of certification status.
Funny, it got you to add your name to the list so just how lame was it? It seems my call to action made you act which is all I asked for.
To read this thread and sit apathetic on the sidelines is what is lame IMHO. This is not about a "bowling score" or hitting a man when he's down. It's about whether or not a Fauna certified good guy should retain this status when the member himself has requested it be changed. We have been told the method to do so is by voting. Sitting on the sidelines cheering one way or another is not going to cut it. My post was meant to be a call to action and evidently it had an effect since a few more people have voted since my post, yourself included. You think thirty plus votes out of all the members here is not a pathetic representation? I'm sorry but I disagree.

This whole episode is shocking

I wonder if Bill even thought about the fact he was taking from Lee and his family? Maybe Lee works his butt off to put food on the table for his 8 kids....( I do not know if Lee has kids or not, just trying to make a pointy) Maybe Lees child need medical attention! Did he think he was more entitled to Lees animal than Lee was?
I find it hard to believe that this was the first time Bill has ever done something like this. How many times have we all heard that from the kids etc... I would think he is probably a thief and liar in many aspects of his personal life as well.
Who actually gets "caught" the first time they did a bad thing?

He surrendered and robbed me of all fun. What can I say? I requested that he come clean and he did. Whether he did it for me, or the numerous others that asked him to do the same, he did it. I didnt have to haunt him or hunt him down. If Bill were a deer he would have jumped on the hood of anyones car and tied himself to it. He knew he was done and didnt suffer us too long like a bunch of fools.

For that he was granted my patience. Not mercy.

He came clean because he was flat out busted after he bluffed with a zero hand. He was caught with his hand in the cookie jar by an all in "nuts" hand, saw no help coming on the river and decided to fold after calculating cutting his loses verses going "all in" and REALLY getting his ass handed to him.

He did it for himself. Not you, not the others. Too bad he spoiled your fun though, Hey Chuck?
 
I just got done catching myself up from page 23. I would like to say I am 21 and don't have any kids. I have been in this hobby since I had my first litter of sand boas when I was 16. I didn't want to sell this snake but had to, along with a few others to pay May's rent. When Bill told me the snake was missing, I didn't question his word because of his reputation. I sucked it up and refunded his money. I then started to wonder what I was going to do for rent. When Bill called me and said not to send the remaining $175 I considered it a blessing. I told him what a great guy I thought he was. I still had to barrow a $100 from a friend to make rent but it could have been more if Bill wasn't so kind. I don't know what made Bill do this and why he decided to pick me. At the time I am sure he was just thinking of the benefits of it and not how it affects other people or the consequences of getting caught. Snakes are starting to drop and money is starting to flow again. Money is no longer an issue for me.

I am sure there is something to learn in all of this for everyone here.

Let me add something to this. I am spending all this week putting siding on my home and certainly have plenty of time to think. As I was placing one of the last pieces of insulation up it occurred to me what actually happened here. That piece of siding is still hanging by one nail as I had to come in the house. For those of you that are taking it easier then most on Bill think about how premeditated this was. I know a few of you mentioned that it must have been resting on Bills conscience for him to only ask for a partial refund. I, however, view that as being part and parcel to his overall plan. After all, it raised ZERO suspicions and as Lee just indicated, he said Bill was a great guy for doing this. Really, does anyone here know of a better way to scam someone then to do it in such a manner? I FIRMLY believe that Bill did this specifically so that he could continue to do this again only to someone else. It was only due to Bill's arrogance that he got caught.

When you start adding the above scenario to all of the other facts what do you get:

1) Making Lee look like the bad guy
2) Lying to each and everyone one of us on here
3) Trying to look like the bigger person by refunding the $200 to keep his namesake
4) Lying yet again that he does not have a digital camera
5) Stating that his pride is what was keeping him from taking up Critical Bills and others offer to help him prove his case

ETC ETC ETC. Your get a man who is worst then the nigerian scum who comes on here. Come on guys, enough is enough already. I am not trying to kick someone who is already down. Rather, I don't believe that Bill is down nor do I believe he is the least bit remorseful for what he did. I do believe that he is amused by this as he knows the truth and the truth is not what you and I have been told. This is a classic case of someone who thinks he is smarter then the rest of us and will take advantage of a 21 year old kid who can't make his rent payment. What little respect I had for Bill is out the window and this chapter, at least with me, is done.
