    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The user name just changed on the account the other day. It gets very confusing if you read all posts under that name. The same people mention the same deal on to two different good guy threads one was responded to under Clear Water reptiles then other under Kodiak Wood.

Kodiak Wood account was opened on 07-30-2003

And was used regularly until 06-30-2004 then nothing posted until 07-20-2005

Clear Water account was opened 06-29-2004
 
Sorry everyone! I Private messaged Dennis Thomas yesterday requesting the thread be reopened. I promised my girlfriend I would go with her to her horse riding club so had to leave before the thread was reopened. So I am her now. I told everyone that I would update them as to what happended. Well as Bill stated earlier, he did send me $300. $200 for the snake and the $100 I had to borrow from a friend. Bill said the money would be in my account by noon the 21st. Well it arrived at 12:02, LATE, LOL. Again, thank you all for helping me out with this. The BOI is an excellent tool!!!! Lee

You did what you said you were going to do all along, return the money. You have repeatedly stated openly and privately that you had two "very similar" snakes. Up to this point some of us kept our mouths shut waiting for the proof that they were in fact two snakes. Would you care to show it now? Returning the money was a good thing, but you need to demonstrate that those of us that thought the snake in the picture was the same one were wrong.

Am also one who only came to this thread yesterday, and read it all last night. Found it fascinating more for the interactions and character insights of the BOI members than I did for the resolution of the initial issue, which is the only reason I could give to someone to take the time to read it all. To James and Ben and a few others, you showed me why I would hope that I would be seated with you on my next spate of jury duty. And Joe (Roy Bean) Black .... I it would suit me fine if you were the judge ... little taxpayer money would be wasted, and that is meant as a compliment ..... I enjoyed your posts.
I also thank those who included anecdotal stories, at times personal and painful, to help explain their views and convictions. My biggest disappointment is with those naive posts in the first dozen pages or so, who stated opinions as a bit too much fact, and then did not come back to acknowledge their error and obligaton to apologize to Lee where indicated, but again kudos to those who did make the public correction. As stated by many, betrayal of trust changes the nature of simple theft. To those naive few ..... talk to someone who has had to fire their "best employee" for theft. Once discovered, it puts the perpetrator's prior performance in a whole new light ... where they wanted to be the best so as to keep a job that was paying better than you knew! Here I defer to some of Wes' earlier concerns ..... its not just the actions, which were deplorable, but the "why" of it that can greatly shape the final view.

The case is a long way from being closed. The reason people who steal are sent to prison, is that they have wronged society, not just the ones they took from. If you steal a car and get caught, returning it does not close the case.

I publicly defended your honor in the beginning, before I knew the whole story. That defense is permanently written here. The hurt to me, and to all of us, when the true nature of what happened came to light, is permanent asd well. Scar tissue is never quite the same as the original.

I do not feel prompted to look to the future to see if your path goes one way or another; that is up to you. I do not look to the past to see if you chose the wrong path for any particular reason; the window of opportunity for explanation has passed.

I post only because there is something in me that rails against a tidy neat closure; that hopes at the very least that the errors of each of us: you, me, any of us, go on to be beacons to help others learn from those experiences, so that some day, all of us might experience less hurt..
 
Bill, how can you even say that justice was served? You sent back 100 dollars more than you stole, big deal! If someone came into my house, stole from me, lied about it, and after being shown a video tape of them doing it finally confessed, I would take it out of their back side 10,000 fold. A measly 50% tacked on is a slap in the face,maybe not to Lee who is now 100 dollar richer, but to everyone who supported you. I am glad you paid the money back, but you are a long long way from redeaming yourself.
Battle lines were drwan early in this thread. Your FRIENDs backed you 100% despite pictures that to most people who know about boas were obviously the same snake. You let them fight for you, knowing you were lieing. They jumped in with both feet, ready to do anything for you. You had plenty of time between their posts to come out with the truth. You let them make multiple posts in your defense before knocking their feet out from under tham, and cramming them in their mouths.
You owe a lot more than you are giving.Not monetarily. I don't see you ever making it to the top of the hill again, or even half way up. You have burned too many bridges, not only with people who oposed you in this thread, but with those who fought the battle for you while you were trying to come up with a conceivable lie.
Luckily, the only person you are lieing to now, that I can see, is yourself. Nobody else is going to believe you, and you seem to think that the end justifies everything that brought you to the point of a refund. Shame on you. Shame on you.
I am not a Christian, but if I were, I would REALLY be upset with you. You brought not only the Lord into this, but your family as well. You spoke of honor. You have none. You spoke of how your grandfather taught you about doing good things. He is turning in his grave. You talk about being respectable, and setting a good example for your children. Your son was mentioned a few posts ago, I wonder if he would come to this thread and say that what you did was right. What do you think?

To the best of my understanding, Bill is no longer maintaining that there were two animals. I believe he has admitted the out and out theft of the animal.

What you did here was worse. You stained and soiled me and EVERY person here who stands on the HONOR of their good name. MY Grandfather SHOULD lie peaceful in his grave~ (and my husbands as well as I use his last name now) but I would suspect ALL our grandfathers cringe at what you have done to the VALUE of a Handshake and a name you CLAIM to be proud of.
 
I should probably mind my own business....But I find myself thinking about this thread while I am at work. I am going to go out on a limb and put my two cents in because I figure if I am thinking about this while I am sweating my nutes (purposely misspelled)off at work then i should be able to:) I do not know and have not dealt with either of the principle parties involved but I have something to add....
This "scam" took planning and deception. It is hard for me to believe that this sort of thing was someone's first attempt at this sort of thing......I imagine the whole putting a hole in the box scenario and I find it taking some time and consideration....What size hole, etc.....major deception if you ask me.
I have even talked about this thread to my wife, lol. She has no idea and could care less but I have been following it from the first post and we have debated the issue.....If you ask me this sounds like the "work" of a person that is familiar with deception.

Are you taking credit for some of your son’s transactions both in “GOOD GUY” posts in the BOI and in your “GOOD GUY CERTIFICATION”? Are people posting because of false pretenses?

I have a few things that I believe merit in answer. I apologize in advance for bringing your son up but there are some things that just don’t make sense.

Mark and Amiee voted in your good guy certification but their transactions were with Kodiak Wood, who posted as Bill Leverton until Clear Water account was created.

There was no Bill Leverton Sr. posting before this time was there? Kodiak Wood disappeared Clear Water appeared and every good guy post attributed to Kodiak were attributed to you.

I can see a couple of possibilities. You just took credit for your son’s dealings or you were posting as Kodiak Wood too.

Did you have separate dealings with Mark and Brian other than threads started in the BOI? Because it appears they posted as if there was only one Bill Leverton.

If I am missing something I apologize, but does anyone know which Bill they have dealt with?

And once again if these are entirely your son’s transactions I apologize to him but there is no mistake that people gave Clear Water Reptiles credit for Kodiak Wood transactions. You do not deserve credit for transactions that do not belong to you. Do you?

From the "......" to the use of the word "then" where "than" should go. Things like "Im", instead of "I'm". All stuff that happens every day , and normally wouldn't be given a second thought, til you put someone under a microscope.Too many "thank you"s, and cheesy smiling emoticons at the end of the posts.Nobody is that much like their dad.

I am here to set the record straight,Yes it true that Kodiakwood stopped posting in June of last year @that time it was my dad that was doing business with those people. Kodiak Woodworking was our business (custom furniture) but like in any family there was a blow out, and my dad decided that he would change his name to Clearwater Reptiles. Seeing as they were what he was really into. Now that brings us to the present, being that I still run the business and it my name, why not keep it ? I just started get back into boas and thought since the name was here I'd use it. as for the name change William M to W Matt I didn't want to be caught up in all this. I'm not my father and I have my own path in life,so if anyone is offended by me using it, I will stop and register under a new name I'm not here to start any trouble with any of you so why not let me go in peace.
