Wes is suspended so I will say that it stinks of Spanish Mackerel, much more pungent than tuna. And this is all so convenient, isn't it? Since the snake was stolen at UPS before it arrived to you, it was stolen from the shipper, ie Lee, not from you, Bill. So why was Lee NEVER informed of this so-called truth. If that was the "truth" then why not tell it?

Bill, how about this? This should be a matter of public record. E-mail me the name of the ADA who handled the case, and his number, along with the defendant's name. I will call the ADA and confirm it and post the unvarnished truth. Of course, if you decline, then it is the same as declining the offer of some quick digital photos.

Even if the story is true, why would he not tell Lee what happened as soon as he found out? Who in their right mind would not be excited as all hell and tell Lee that the snake was recovered? Only it would take time to get possession of the snake due to police procedure.

Who would not have came on here and posted this story on the Shipping forum, Sound Off or where ever about how a UPS handler tried to rip off a snake in transit?

Unless..... they figured hey, Lee already thinks the snake is lost/stolen in transit. I will just pocket this bad boy.

My trail only leads to one person and I'd like to think thats not so. I was speaking with Mike from "Rebel Dragons" about two weeks ago on the phone and we were discussing the Leverton incident. Mike mentioned he had read the email and was aware of the contents of the email as it was forwarded to him by Wendy Collins Griffin.

I'm not making any accustions. I'm just trying to understand who the extra untrusting scumbag is that just joined the ranks of Bill.

I am going to have to go with the old cliche here, as I don't think the source is pertenant to the thread, and the content has been confirmed by three people now, I will not share that. However, If I have your word that it will not be made public. I can tell you who I got it from. Maybe then you could come here and post that Yes they are scum for sending it to me, or No they are not scum and had an obligation to get it posted, but wanted it done in annomity. If You can say you wont use their name, feel frr to PM me, and I will share with you.

IMO, squabbling over "who leaked the email" is not the issue.

If it came from Bill, and it appears it did, then GIVE ME A BREAK !! With the seriousness of the charges here, in a public forum, to send an email "in confidentiality" that not only paints the most implausable of stories, but insults the rest of the community, and expect it to remain confidential is absolute lunacy !! If it originated from Bill, then he can easily provide the backup, as requested, from the entities involved. At this point, failure to do so promptly is automatic guilt beyond the hole he has already dug. I didn't know they made shovels with handles that long, but NOW I KNOW !! As earlier pointed out, either way BILL IS A THIEF !! He had no problem with Lee coming up short one way or the other. Bill, if you did not author the note, my humblest apologies. If you did, you need to be completely run out of this business. Something is wrong between the ears.

Bill was given ample oportunity to share what he had to share. That email was first sent by him on the 13th. Even if he wanted to wait until a guy was sentenced, he had time after that to post it here.
He had all this morning to explain, but continued to lie instead.
He said he would try to get pictures, but doesn't get all the background information of everyone who comes in and out of his house, but the snake was sold, and shipped prior to the 13th? and traded yesterday? tsk tsk
Anyone know the end date for the reptibid auction that was pulled? Was it after sentencing? Who allowed Bill to take pics of the snake so that he may sell it before the sentencing?
If anyone thinks less of me for posting the email, I will have to live with that. I was not part of that inner circle. I was not bound by loyalty to protect Bill. I don't know Bill. I didn't know him as a good guy who lied. I have come to know him as a liar.

And when the thread started my first thought was Crap I only needed 10 more days(getting Lee's snake he plead guilty and will be sentenced on 7/20) Hence Lee getting his $200 Back. Please Bill. First off, could you not have copied and pasted, or simply have CC'd those others instead of asking Wendy to participate in your lies? For anyone who is curious, that e-mail originated from Bill's e-mail addess and while it could have been spoofed, who would make up a pile of manure like that? Why would Bill take the fall for the UPS guy?

BTW, just because Bill asked Wendy to only send it to certain people, that did not obligate ANY of the recipients to keep it quiet. They made no such promises and had no such obligation. Why protect this pile of crap from the public at large. If I had seen it I would have posted it too. Without a moment's hesitation.

I can certainly see that it may be important to you. I will have to disagree with the logic of this "leaker" being labeled a scumbag. Any recipient of this email who did not agree, prior to receiving it, to maintain confidentiality is not bound by any ethical standard if they feel there is something to be gained or improved upon by sharing it. I doubt very much that such agreements were received in advance every time this email changed hands. I understand your point, but would also like to point out that many "Monkey Man" cases start with "My friend, this is very confidential and rewarding for the both of us .... please do not share this or it will ruin our future wealth ..." Back on topic, those six named individuals were insulted.
