In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Probably because it takes all afternoon to read this ridiculous thread. A simple BOI inquiry has turned into a he said, she said, they said festival. Hopefully someone from BBD will eventually set things straight.

wading through all the nonsense, maybe? or trying to gauge the climate before jumping in?
I must admit, I hate seeing these threads turn into bickering cluster****s (although I do tend to try to follow some to resolution). Anyone doing an inquiry, gets lost in all that stuff. I knew it was going to happen as soon as Dan piped in.
To you, Dan: I don't necessarily disagree with some of what you say, but I think your approach could use a bit of polish (that should come easily enough for somebody in administration). It is obvious that there are parties on here that have little tolerance for your input - say what you will about them, or me, for that matter - quite simply, it is because you have been hijacking these threads and getting involved with individual pi**ing contests that have absolutely NO bearing on the subject at hand. You may think you are the voice of reason, and you may honestly be trying to slow things down in the interest of getting all involved parties onboard...but things definitely break down when you make an appearance, and from there :2hammers:.

I don't know all of the history, nor do I care to at this point. Hopefully BBD will step in, say their peace, and the interested parties that started this thread in the first place can repost and get the information they seek.

On that note - I'm outa here

response from Quenton Fraser

Wow, I guess I really stirred up a hornet's nest! Originally the focus of this thread was to examine the credibility of bloodbankdragons. Yes I am half owner. We have outstanding dragons, and have established great relationships with buyers and other dragon breeders.

eyeless albino burm I bought this snake from a friend of mine because I was fascinated with how it had all of it's faculties yet had never developed eyes. I have never seen anything like this before. It is obviously a deformation and I would never suggest breeding it. I posted it at a rediculous price to see what kind of offers/feedback I would recieve. I've seen other deformations like two headed snakes etc... for sale for astronomical amounts & figured I'd throw it out there to see what happened.

I honestly didn't give much thought to how much it would piss people off. This snake is definitely a good conversational piece and is fun to show off to friends. I don't think he deserves to die because he has no eyes. I have always said to people who were interested in it that I don't suggest propagating a deformation.

In reference to the opinion that posting a deformed animal for such a high price is "wrong": After careful thought I would agree that the mere assertion that such a deformed animal could command this high of a price would encourage people to try to breed it. Since I am an advocate of keeping genetics pure I think posting this ad was a pretty lame maneuver on my part.

I regret that I have offended people. For that I apologize.

Quenton and Steven,

It took a lot of guts on your parts to come here and say what you just did. More often than not people will become defensive and nothing is ever solved that way.

I applaud you for doing the right thing and for admitting that it was "a pretty lame maneuver". Someone here (and I would give him credit if I could remember who it was) said something to the effect of an error only being a mistake if you refuse to correct it.

Steven/Quenton,

Thanks for setting things straight and ending the debacle that this thread has become. It appears the ad was an error in judgment that has been recognized and hopefully will be fixed. Take care!

Jamie

Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Judging by the response from BBD, I have to say they seem like stand up people.

Harald: I am not sure where you gathered that colorful conclusion, but I never said I was a voice of reason, someone else said that and you mistakenly fed off of it and speculated a bunch of stuff that does not apply me. I only asked to hear from the seller and this made a lot of people mad at me? Why? I don't know? Perhaps I can only guess it's because they cannot take back their words if they were wrong. Maybe they like to kick and fight and I ask them to hold off on their brow beatings and they cannot take it? I don't know and don't really care. And I am glad to see that the seller was a good guy as predicted and still will hope that all parties in all threads will be given some consideration before a prejudgment may be slightly casted on them regardless of the circumstances involved. I mean if people continue to attack people for seemingly harmless stuff, then it just might scare some of the good guys out of the business?

To Quenton

 thanks for stepping up with an appropriate and well considered response! Welcome to Fauna.

Bloodbank Dragons

I have done business with Bloodbank. They are outstanding, their dragons are better looking in real life than in the pictures. I have purchased dragons on line in the past and was let down most of the time. I was reluctant to purchase another one, to say the least, but after purchasing one from bloodbank, I purchased three more right away. I haven't dealt with any other on line breeders that actually take the time to make sure every aspect of your purchase is perfect like bloodbank did. I was completely happy with the business that I did with them and I look forward to doing more in the future. I definitely recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing one.

Welcome to the wonderful world of bearded dragons, I hope to do some business with you soon. I'm sure if your dragons are as good as I hear we'll be speaking to each other soon. :)

Good call on finding the burm a home, if it can live a normal (minus sight) life why kill it? Of course you'd have to limit the people that might take it to only those that won't breed it and maybe you should even have a simple 2 sentance contract to that effect. Not sure I agree with $4000 for it, it really should just be given away to the first available home or at worst you can charge normal albino burm price to cover your expenses.
