    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Bob Sloan is back

Just wanted to add this.... I much prefer Rich's reasoning !
But I seriously doubt Sloan will ever show up any place where he has to back up his threats man to man :rolleyes:
 
I am with the group that says, keep a gun close by, and don't hesitate to use it if he should show up sometime. You need to take these things serious, for the sake of your children, and your peace of mind.

There is plenty of written proof of this pricks previous threats to people, and the laws have changed as such to make his threats an act of terrorism. You do have the right to protect yourself and your children. That's a fact. I'd like to add, that if that time should come, don't even think you are harming an actual person, but more like squashing a cockroach that's needs squashing.

Get that gun handy, and don't let this fool keep you up at night. Otherwise, he wins.

I have no personal experience with Bob Sloan, but he is famous in the circle I keep in touch with around here. So far as I have heard he has made threats to just about everybody he has ever dealt with and to date has not put them into action. This however does not mean you should just blow it off, from what I have also heard he is just not a stable person and any day could be the one he snaps in a big way (he has admitted to being bi-polar). I feel he is more of a threat to his "familiar surroundings" and not very likely to hunt any one person down.... you know, the type that one day has a homicidal rampage in a busy mall.

I know, I know, I am making everybody feel better with my opinion of a guy I have not met directly, but instead know by association....

But the point I am trying to get to is, that anybody who has dealings with him that turn ugly needs to report it and take every action they can to pin it on him when he starts making threats either veiled or outright. He has a reputation of dishonesty and as a cyber bully and has cost many people not only money but peace of mind. And anybody that conducts business under anything but their real name should not be trusted anyway. Anybody that has a chance to avoid him in any dealings will likely be glad they did.

I mean just look at the shear number of people here that want to "settle up" with him somehow, he seems to bring out the worst of anybody.

Although we're in different countries, I thought I'd add in a little insight to this.

When I was 14, my mother and the man she married were going through a nasty divorce. He went and obtained a full restraining order against me, and my 75 year old disabled grandfather. We weren't even notified of this until our lawyer had told us when we made statements at her office. I had one because he claimed I was following him around in a white car. Nevermind the fact that I was 14, never drove once in my life, and no one I knew had a white car.

The judge presiding over the divorce case threw the orders out of court, but it goes to show that you can get one without even having something to base it on. You just have to be very convincing.

File the reports with proper authorities.
And the people over on Tegu forums should ban him for being a known thief in the reptile industry.

What's the story anyhow? All I've seen in this thread is that he's after you. Why does he say you owe him $1000? (If I missed it in another thread, I'm sorry!)

I can't imagine what it must feel like to deal with a psycho like this. I'd probably have to go on blood pressure meds or something!
 
Lisa....believe me, I am in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM saying that ANYTHING that this lunatic is doing or saying is justified, but can I ask what he's referring to when he says that you owe him $1000 for some snakes? Was this all started from a snake deal gone wrong? Could returning some snakes to him put an end to this all?

I have to wonder if he will not say why you owe him $1000 why anybody would believe him.

It is also pretty easy to tell that he is the type that would just like to cause trouble for other people, he seems to take great pleasure based on the resources he plans to invest in it.
 
as I said about the emails. in quite a few sloan wrote in black & white that they were 'gifts' out of his love. also, in the emails he wrote that he would "make guitar strings out of them" if I sent them back.
 
So you had a relationship with him before you knew he was a little off his rocker? (It's okay, Hun, crazy people don't wear signs so don't feel bad about it) And now you're paying for ending it?
 
Just to clarify, I'm not necessarily talking about a physical relationship. Delusional people can "find love" in something as innocent as a phone call.
 
I never met this person. certainly, nothing physical or emotional for that matter involved here. emails.

Some truely disturbed people can take an innocent chat or e-mail exchange and turn it into something twisted, so I felt bad if you had been the victim of that.
