In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

On the subject of farmed imports

I was looking at several of Sal's ads posted at KIngsnake, particularly the Type II anery Nicaraguans, and he has them listed as captive hatched. In other ads he states how he hand picked these hypo and anery Nics from thousands. We all know these are farmed imports that always come in this time of year. If he posts them as captive hatched that gives the false illusion to many that the animals were born here. One can argue the animals were indeed captive hatched, just not ch here. They are still essentially relatively fresh farmed imports but he does not represent them as such. While there may or may not be any problems with his animals I do feel he should bill them for what they are.

I just got off the phone with Sal, and he said it was an honest mistake. Without prompting he offered to send me the correct snakes free of charge and let me keep the others. Regardless of some of his business deals in the past, I can tell you that Sal has been nothing but friendly and helpful over the phone. He also said he would ship them out today, so I'll keep everyone posted.

CH Nicaraguans? Aren't those Boas (shoot me if I'm wrong) .... and wouldn't a Boa be listed as Captive-Born?

I'm looking forward to the resolution of the "wrong snakes" issue.

Before I read the first BOI on Sal, I had been in contact with him as well. He had informed me that the only reason why he was selling off the pair of abherrant of boa's he had was due to needing the room. He informed me that later that week he was receiving 7000 Nic's that he had imported. Before committing I checked into him via the BOI which made my decision for me very quickly. Anyways, just an FYI that he did inform me that they were imports when I had called.

I would love to pay this guy a visit, I live right up the road from him and I got to Boca often. I would love to know his 'partner' that is up here where I live and talk to him.

If Sal made this comment that he had 7000 Nicaraguan Boas coming in that he imported, I believe this is just more proof that he is full of it. I guarantee that Sal is not importing half of the entire quota of Nicaraguan Boas from Nicaragua (which for 2005 is 15,000 live specimens). He is no way going to get that large of a shipment from the country and take the shipments away from the True Large importers. I would be willing to bet that Sal has not ever imported anything but rather only picks through what arrives at some of the South Florida importers.

Also For those that live in Florida (or close enough to drive to)....Chances are good that he will be attending (I am not sure if vendoring) at the F.I.R.E. show this weekend in Orlando. Hell if anyone is still owed money from him this would be a great opportunity to possibly get their money back from him without any more cloak and dagger routines from him. If anyone does come and is looking for him, look for me and I will let you know if I have seen him and try and point you in the right direction.

Almost verbatim, he stated that he was receiving 100% of all imported Nics into the country and that if anybody wanted to purchase one that he was the guy they had to go through.

Well I know for a fact that he is not getting the entire quota for them in this country. He can not compete with L.A. Reptiles, Strictly Reptiles, Zoological Imports and many other Larger Importers that are the ones that get the quotas.

I am hoping to make it to Daytona this year, I wonder if he will be there? I am not the one to brag but I am a large and almost scary guy, I would love to give him a talk and maybe help some people get their money.

Exactly the point Greg...any reputable dealer would do exactly what you suggest.

Key words, "any reputable dealer". We are discussing the shady scamming ways of Sal. Hey , Matt i hope you do get the correct snakes! If we look back that is usually Sals way of doing things. He makes a few little guys that he has wronged happy and says SCREW YOU to the rest.

I do have to admit this and I have been debating on doing it for a while because I don't want to get attacked. About a year and a half ago (maybe more) I went to Sals when he lived in NY to pick up an enclosure since he lived so close to where I was. I got a chance to meet him and alison and see their set-up and I was impressed by his husbandry skills and his craftmenship of his cage which is still perfect to this day. Anyway, that is just my two cents. I feel sorry that soooo many of his deals went sour for so many people and I guess I count myself among one of the "lucky" ones. I really do hope that he is going to straighten out. Its a shame that someone so darn smart can be so stupid.

Neil,
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOL.....I am a teacher and my students just AGGRAVATE me with their poor use of those words!

Let's not forget.... your, you're, yore, and y'all's.... lol

Just scan through some of these threads and you'll see where our tax dollars have been going.... Not a pretty sight, huh??.... And this is our future.... I'm just glad I'm old!!....

Now, to the topic at hand.... Sal has definitely done a 180.... Whether the "people" on here like it or not (or believe it or not), it won't affect his business or HOW he does his business (or mine).... and next year will be amazing for him.... adults can change if he wants to, and now he has a reason to.... he'll never be anything but honest again.... he's got too much to lose now.... Oh yeah, to, too, and two.... lmao

Neil

OT - But Neil I love you! LOL You crack me up maybe next time I head to Tampa I will stop by and spend some time with you.

They're they are, and there mine!.... So their!!

How's that??.... lol

Neil

Wrong, I think.

IF you meant that they're is short for they are, then so far you're right.

The "there mine" throws me though. If you are showing possesion, as in THEY ARE mine, then we're back to they're. IF you meant those THERE, denoting a place, THEY'RE mine, denoting possesion, so far so good. BUT, if you meant so THERE, and were NOT trying to denote possesion, which this statement most emphatically does NOT, then your usage of THEIR is also wrong and should, in fact, be THERE.

Hope that helped ya.

Did your pal salito ever PAY BACK all the people he STOLE from?
