• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

BOYCOTT reptileauctions.com. They allow known theives and scammers to use thier site.

Rich, I know you want to move this tread, but it is far from over. This IMO is exactly where it needs to be. The BOI is all about bad business, it will all come out. However, I agree it did not start out as most of the BOI threads do, it will still need to be here after this cloud is removed.

My question would be, how long are we going to look like a fool for our friend?
He has not came into this thread at all. He said he would, what happen to that? I have not heard a word from him, has anyone else? :rolleyes:
 
Well, allrighty then.......... I can't see any reason to deny the requests to do nothing at all about this. I'll just sit back and watch what happens.

It would appear that the owners, administrators, or whomever is calling the shots, just do not care or have simply abandoned the site.

I think that they will find that many others, have or will, follow suit!
 
I don't believe the person who is "calling the shots" has abandoned the site....just everyone with a shred of decency that is able to has, or has simply given up.

Sad.

well ive bought and sold on reptileauctions and knock on wood ive had no problems. id even recommend one guy (trey bell) who is on the boi here and a standup guy. unfortunately i cant say the same for all the others. but even though there are scammers on that site there are scammers everywhere else including fauna.

You are exactly right. There are scammers everywhere.
The difference is: in most places, once they are identified, they are banned.
In the case of Reptile Auctions, this was the case as well. The known scammers were banned from the site and assurances were made that the site was to be kept "clean".

For whatever reason, they have now allowed previously banned users to return and refuse to explain why. Thus breaking their word to individuals that they sought out and convinced to support their sites.

This is the entire basis of this thread!

The object of a business is to make money they recieve fee's for their service that is what auctions do. The problem that brought about this thread is the fact that people with bad reputations and known scammers are able to have their accounts restored with the auction.
 
yea but its not like you can sell anything on that site, it has gone to crap, not worth any fes the rate things get sold there. And my prices are great. I have wholesale ads right now. Can't get lower than wholesale to below wholesale. Take Care!
 
aj, this is the BOI. If you don't use your full first and last name, your posts will be deleted.

It's NOT a place for you to complain that they won't let you use their services, not this thread anyway, or brag about your prices.
