In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.
BOYCOTT reptileauctions.com. They allow known theives and scammers to use thier site.

I've given this a bit of thought and here's what I've come up with.
This IS a business transaction.
My reputation is valuable to me. Even though I keep insisting that I am just a guy with a big mouth and a knack for smelling tuna, I have garnered a reputation as an honest person. I do my utmost to be so.
I put my reputation on the line for reptileautions. By my being associated with them and publickly stating I was, by actively asking people to give them a try, I was driving business their way. This is not something I do often or easily. My backing of someone has value to me, this is important to me.
After I had done my part, something changed over there and it was no longer business as usual, let's clean the place up, but let the scum back in, we're having a party.
Well, to quote the famous clown, Homey don't play dat, and I took it as a personal affront not by anyone person, per se, but the site as a whole. I'd like to know who instituted this change in policy and although I've heard rumors, as of now, I have nothing further that I can ad.
Note, I did not say I would never say anything, just that for now, I cannot. As many of you have given your trust to me and asked me not to say anything about information that has come my way, so to has someone asked me not to say more about what I've been told.
I can't do more than I am.
Why was the change made? Who's idea was it? Who is so stupid?

I believe you have a legitimate complaint, and that this is a proper venue for it. You had a quid-pro-quo, and the quo changed. An accountability, or correction, is a reasonable expectation.

Nope. Mostly it was in a format that was not able to be saved and some over the phone. In fact, I don't think there was a single actual email about it at all.
The thing is, I am positive that it had to come from another source than the one I had contact with.
That source is the, apparently cowardly, since they must know and yet refuse to anser me, person who got them, the theives, back on the site.

Unfortunately Greg, here say and third party info is not allowed on the BOI. Those who do have information on this issue would also be putting their friendships in jeopardy. Sometimes it's not what you know, but who you know.......and speaking for myself, good friends don't come along every day. Well, I can not speak for everyone else, but I will be removing my auctions tomorrow at this time if someone does not come forward and fix this. There has been enough time to get this done. I am sorry for this but I will not hang on a limb like a monkey, nor will I be a part of the mess that is running a muck.

I agree 100% these people should not be on there. And the person that I say is a friend. Is not the one that is really doing this.

That is something to be proud of. But I must say, it is sad to think they would turn their back on such a great asset to a site like that. But so be it. I will say my customers will fallow me, most of them are repeat customers, and will remain as such.
I will spend my time here more, as well as other sites he does not run behind the scenes. I am more than sure Fauna needs honest sellers, as well as mods that do not harbor and worship people like that.
Everyone else can do as they wish, but if you only knew the truth you would do as me and get as far away from that site as you can. It is not being run by the ones you think it is. This will all come out soon regardless, however I still think that sooner would have been better. If it is a long time coming, I don't think the reaction will be the warmest.
