• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

BOYCOTT reptileauctions.com. They allow known theives and scammers to use thier site.

The only proof I have is the fact that Spokanelizardlady is back on the auction. Everything else is hearsay.

Keep in mind I was not the author of this thread, and with the information I have I would not have started this thread because of all the hearsay information. This IMO is far from a reason to boycott reptileauctions.com, but it just my opinion nothing more.

I do feel the same way as Wes, someone needs to come forward.

Well,

I just bought some food items from this Spokanelizardlady, I have not sent the money yet, should I ?????

Yes...I certainly would. If you have a problem with the product simply go through the proper channels to dispute and remedy the situation.

Not paying her is sending an extremely strong message to the staff at reptileauctions.com that she is not the problem but rather its buyers (such as yourself) who fail to live up to their end of the agreement.

Chuck,

You are saying if you bought something, and before you send the money you find out it is from a known scammer, you would go ahead and throw your money out the window. I am all into integredy and all of that, I have always paid for every auction I have won up to today. If from what I hear, and from past threads that have been brought to my attention I question whether I should send the payment or not. I have emailed my concerns to :

Thanks so much,

Sorry Chuck, but I must disagree. I will not, nor will I knowingly support a proven scammer.

I have dealt with Bill and he is a good guy. If she leaves you negative feedback. Then Bill you are welcome to use my name as a reference. I will do that for any of my proven good buyers/sellers. :)

I dop not use reptile auctions, they refuse to alllow me to sign up some reason. I e-mailed the webmaster and get nothing in return :shrug01: I really do not need to go on there as it is.

It seems I am having a bit of trouble today, please forgive me. I will try this again.

I do not use reptile auctions, they refuse to alllow me to sign up for some reason. I e-mailed the webmaster a few times and get nothing in return :shrug01: I guess I really do not need to go on those sites.

No...thats not what I'm saying. We all have different opinions as to what constitutes a scammer. To date from what I've read about Spokanelizardlady...its that she grossly misrepresents her animals and perhaps takes credit for some products she does not manufacture that she sells. I have not read anything to date about her taking anyones money and not sending anything in return, but I could have missed a post or two. It seems to be a quality issue and misrepresentation issue about the animals she sells and quite simply..the bulk of it.....is her lifestyle.

If by chance you shouldn't receive exactly what you paid for then you should pursue the seller for a return and refund. But if you don't pay you'll never know if what you agreed to purchase would even meet your expectations. You'll be a non-paying bidder, possibly kicked off reptileauctions, and left with out the ability to leave a trader rating at all.

Look at this way....in this situation its win win for Wendy. Don't pay and you'll be reptileauctions problem to deal with. Do pay and you just may be a satisfied customer.

Well, to those that offered advice especially Bobby, thank you, I plan on paying for the items I won. Looking at their reputation, (feedback) it has been more positive than negative. I did enter into an agreement, (auction) and won, I did look at their feedback before I bid, so I plan on honoring my end of the bargain since I don't think they will rip me off on my superworms.

I'm sure Bill is a great guy and I'm sure he may be a great customer on reptileauctions, but he may become a banned guy if he does not complete his transaction with his seller.

Obviously reptileauctions doesn't see a problem with having Wendy around and has welcomed her with open arms. Regardless if Bill is a good guy and a good customer, the scales of auction justice are tipped in Wendy's favor.

You know the old saying...."nice guys finish last".

Chuck you could add that they receive animals and claim they were DOA then turn around and list them for sale a few days later on their site. I think that qualifies as a scam. I believe they even did charge backs through paypal on a couple of people who sold them animals. Then there was the cross bred animal blue if I remember correctly that they were selling as pure. I'm sure I've forgotten some of their adventures. Randy

Absolutely. Its quite enough info to make anyone nervous. I just see her in a position (oh yeah you know which one Wendy) in this instance to make a good guy look like and suffer like he was a bad guy. Regardless of whats been posted here or anywhere....it doesn't seem to make a bit of difference to anyone at reptileauctions. Maybe the boys at reptileauctions are sporting mental chubbies these days over knowing they have a former porn star conducting business on their site.

Feel free to FULLY explain what is going on. Why let the cat just half way out of the bag?
I'm with Rich on this one. I get the part where Wes went out on a limb to get the whore and her mother banned from that site and that the whore appears to be back there and that Wes is pissed off (and justifiably so, it would seem). What's the rest of the story that four or five of you seem to think that you know? Can one or two of you tell the rest of us who are not privy to the inside poop the salient facts without the "s/he thinks s/he knows but doesn't but I actually do know all and won't say any more" crap?

Chuck I agree now that he has won the auction he should follow through with it.. To bad more people don't look here before they do business with someone they don't know. Randy

Randy,
Don't want to rehash the whole thing, but your statement is innacurate, or more opinion than fact. Everyone has their own version of the truth, but a few of us believe that the words "scammer and thief" have been thrown around loosely on many occasions in the BOI. I'm with Chuck's take on this one.

Wes started this thread based on what he knew of his communications with Reptile Auctions, the efforts he made to meet their standards for the action they eventually took, and then being told that those standards had been met. While he and I disagreed, and still would, on the interpretations of the actions of SLL, I think there is no argument that Reptile Auctions changed their standards, or interpretation of things, in short order. As RA is a service provider in the reptile industry, I think it is legitimate for Wes' concerns regarding this to be here. I personally do not use Reptile Auctions, but feel that this entire incident is worthy of being displayed for all to consider in their dealings with Reptile Auctions. Howard Fluker and I are drinking buddies when I can get him in Florida, and he and I are supposed to close every bar in El Salvadore when I can get down there. He's a good man by me. But as a matter of principal, Wes and I agree on this one. That being that without some additional explanation, and my inkling is that there may have been legal concerns, it is fair game for this to be here and for all to consider it.

Jim nothing to rehash and as far as I can tell what I wrote above is accurate. You for reasons only you can fathom think these ladies are fine and dandy, that is your privilege. Just don't trip all over yourself running around this forum to defend them, leaves a bad impression off you. Myself I have seen enough to want to stay clear of ever doing business with them. Which is easy as I'm not into lizards which also lessens the chance of doing business with you. So come on back with one of your long winded defenses of your friends wont raise many peoples opinions of these women but sure doesn't help you any. Randy
