In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

BRANDON AT REPTIRUS- REALLY BAD GUY.

The person or carrier? The person was Steph and according to Brandons email it was DHL as the carrier.
Questions answered, Thanks.

I tend to agree with Kelli that the gecko's problem is most likely congenital, meaning it is caused during gestation or incubation, or a result of a past metabolic disorder. I do not feel it is genetic... however, I cannot stress enough that this gecko should not be bred under any circumstances. This means she is not a breeder. She is a pet quality animal.

Now, ASSuming the seller was unaware of this problem, (I dunno, it is pretty obvious to me?), then the gecko should simply be sent back and a refund issued, including the return shipping cost. If the buyer keeps the other gecko that she is happy with, then there should be no reimbursement of shipping costs for the geckos sent to her. If the buyer decides to keep the 'pet' gecko, then no reimbursement of shipping charges should be made, and the seller and buyer should negotiate a monetary refund of the difference between a 'breeder' and a 'pet' price.

Since the seller did not pack or ship the geckos himself, he has no way of knowing HOW they were packed, or the ACTUAL condition of the geckos when they were put in the box to be shipped. Right?

Here is the original pic of the gecko, before it was shipped. I can clearly see what looks like a bend between the tail base and the back legs.

for the record....

MARCIA ... I LOVE YOU!

I completely agree with what you are saying, and greatly appreciate your input on the matter.

this is exactly how I would like this to be resolved.

A closer look. Especially look on the left hand side of the photo, where the black arrow points.

Yes, there is a definite deformity in the pelvic region. Sometimes the stress of shipping can excerbate metabolic and bone problems, but it looks very apparent to me in this photo.

Stephanie, other than his being at bowling tonight, is there a specific reason you are acting on the seller's behalf? Personally, I would like to hear from HIM.

OOps, sorry, I meant to change the size of the pic too.

Also steph, my understanding is that you are not supposed to be speaking for someone else on the BOI.

Thanks for the pics Kelli, it does appear there is some sort of swelling.

You pointing it out Kelli, I do see it now (in his original photo). It's hard to see, but it's there. I certainly didn't see it when they were here, and I did look over them in their cups.

Marcia, I don't appreciate your implications that any of this is my fault simply because I taped up a box and had my driver pick up.

Sorry for the formalities Stephanie, I was raised that way. (pre-1960s)
Thanks for pointing me toward the gallery and the pre-sale pic of ID #: F-MSHBE-002.
To my old eyes it looks like there is a slight abnormality in that gallery pic. I had my wife look and she also spotted it not knowing what I was looking for specifically.

If you examined them then you either packed or re-packed them. The implications are apt.

THANKS EVERYONE

I can't thank you guys enough for your attention to this problem.

I appreciate everyones responses, and hope this is resolved in the best way possible.

thanks again! :)

Yes, yes...My apologies for not following the rules. :) However, I did feel since I did see the geckos on the day of shipment & they were shipped from my home I should comment (and because Brandon consulted me on the matter). I'll withdrawal myself from this one now. :)

LOL

Chug merrily along until you're busted then you're gone. Better to just follow the rules from the getgo and avoid looking so foolish.

BUT, since you did chime in, did you or did you not pack or re-pack the geckos?

Ms. Gougeon,
I would advise that you follow through with the seller's offer and return the gecko.
From what I have heard here they did offer to make this right and this deformity was observable in the pics prior to purchase.
I don't see Brandon as necessarily being a bad guy since he did offer to make this right.
There seems no need for a bad guy thread on this one, yet.

I did not pack them. He was doing it when I went to pick them up. I added a heat pack when I got them back to my place, taped them up and the driver picked up not long after.

Were any of the corners of the box crushed? Were there any indications of scuffing or indentations that may have been caused by impacting on something?

does anyone else thing it is extremely careless to not even pack your own shipment? and on top of that, not even tell the buyer, me, that someone else packed and shipped the geckos?

man, thats harsh.
