    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

More than fair to me. I am sure you and Brandon can come to a mutually satisfying conclusion.

As far as the vet bill (I know, probably not something you had planned on doing right now) I am sure you would have taken her in at some point before you bred her. I do with new stock to rule out any cooties that I can't see and to have a health record of them before breeding should anything go awry.

Much luck with her, she sounds like a real sweetie!

Hey Pat,

I noticed you are viewing... just wondering if you have any input on this gecko. Since I understand you were the original owner and breeder of this little gal.

I would like to hear from you.
 
THis specific gecko was bred here last season and was just a awsome colored codom(2006 season). And i can also say with 100% confidence the gecko was perfect when sold, but of course that was a very long time ago. We have a very strict suppliment program here, as well as genetics from around the nation( defect free and the colony is tested monthly for parasites/crypto). I know brandon personally and beleive he will do everything in his power to make this right.

Heh heh...I try. I'm glad you're in a better frame of mind than earlier in the thread and I could take the edge off. But I just found out that Brandons bowling team decided to tour Europe on last minute notice. He wont be back until next spring. Doh! NO Just Kidding!!!

BOI when it did not belong there, If anyone deserves a bad guy thread, its
you for the way you have acted about everything.

I promise to you:
that I will ship the geckos back to you on the soonest shipment day
that will be safe for them.
In return, I would like you to refund me the money through paypal for
both of the geckos and the shipping BEFORE I ship them, as I no
longer have the breeding project I intended.
If you agree, I would like the vet bills to be paid 50-50.

all this said, if this goes smoothly, I will revoke my "bad guy"
posting under your name. And I do apologize for jumping the gun on
that, but the gecko was in pretty bad shape.

You are more than welcome to a copy of the vet report, I can even
ship you a copy, or you can request it directly from my vet.

Please help me resolve this as soon as possible, as I am out a lot of
money on this at the moment, and really need to recover, so I can get
my hands into another breeding project.

I appreciate all of your help throughout the process.

I really would just like to return both of them, since they really
were not shipped as they were advertised, and I am just generally
unhappy with the entire transaction.
I'm sure someone else would be more than happy with the female as a
pet, and the male as a breeder. I wish you luck with them in the
future, so you decide to keep them.

Hopefully he will feel a bit more calm after he reads all of the posts. It was probably a shock to see his name in big bold letters on top of the BOI. I'd likely have a knee-jerk reaction if I saw mine there until I read the thread and relaxed a while.

You had your chance to unload here, he hasn't been able to do that yet. I am sure you two can work this out just like you both have planned. He seems to be a pretty good fellow, so give him a while to unwind and respond without emoting.

It'll work out I am sure!
 
Maggie is right. You pretty much bitchslapped the guy coming here so quick and it takes more than 20 minutes for most of us to be willing to let something like that go.

You can't ship until next week anyway. I'd leave it be for the next couple/three days and then reapproach him.

If he does bail, well Chuck and Co. will be hungry and he'll be meat.

i have to point out that i think this approach by Brandon is a bad move. things can be resolved via email amicably and get things over with. why drag it out here. Just because it looks like Brittney jumped the gun a bit on posting here, remember that two wrongs don't make a right.
and i believe she deserves to get some resolution in this matter. BUT i would urge brandon to notice that alot of posters here, even though they agree that the thread starter deserves compensation of some sort, also think she maybe came here a bit prematurely. why shoot yourself in the foot by creating a battle here in this matter. if YOU think she deserves a refund or settlement, just do it. many posters in the past have come to the BOI full of salt and vinegar, and only made themselves look worse for it.
why waste the time, aggravate yourself and the OP, and possibly alienate future customers who will determine whether you are a bad guy by how you handle things here NOT by the name of this thread. hope this made some sense.

Come on Brandon, your not a bad guy here yet, please don't get all defensive.
It has been acknowledged by pretty much everyone, including Ms. Gougeon I believe, that a bad guy post on this was premature and unfair to you. Please don't cause that oppinion to change by getting your hackles up.

Wow, so now you want to be refunded for BOTH geckos, shipping, and half the vet bills, and you want him to give you the money before you ship anything back? Good luck with that; to say your request is a tad unreasonable would be an understatement. At this time I wouldn't fault him for offering to take both geckos back and pay for the return shipping to be refunded with the price of the geckos once they are back in his possession. I notice you are going by the name South Bay Geckos, and you have already stated that you intend to breed geckos, I can only assume that you will also one day be selling the offspring. i can't wait to see how you handle a complaint and unreasonable demands from one of your customers... :rolleyes:

Hey Now...

thats harsh.

I sent that email to him to see if he thinks that offer is reasonable. I have no problem shipping the geckos back to him before getting my money back. It was just a proposition, a negotiation starting point, "my ideal resolution", so to speak.

I have experience dealing with "customers" as I am a chef and I also used to work as a Graphic Design for a major cooperation.

Trust me, I know how to treat people well.

I just don't at all respect feeling cheated.
