In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

At his site look at the guarrantee page..scroll all the way down.....Now that is funny...Thanks DAVID

Anyone who thinks that the microchipped hets are real, I will make you an incredible offer on some. I have a 1300grm female I will sell you real reasonable. As far as proving that they are fake and getting money back, I would be willing to bet that we will not be able to find Bruce in 6 mos much less two years, sorry to sound negative, but in my opinion anyone who expects to see a dime from this jerk really needs to get in touch with reality. No offense intended. I am as upset as anyone over this. I am actually glad I live so far away, or I would have already gone to see him. Hopefully I will cool down some before I get a chance to meet him. Craig Kade

I agree with you Craig

And I've made similar statements in the past. (hold on a second while I get on my soap-box) But if we collectively pool our breeding results and produce no hets next season, we would be looking at odds that could range beyond 1 in 4,000 years depending on number of eggs and assuming het-to-het breeding. Some are breeding to pied males so that would double the odds. If we go to the Federal government with an interstate fraud case showing Bruce has taken us for probably well over $50,000.00 cash or trade value, I don't think we would be ignored. File charges, let the Fed's find him, then file suit. I don't care if he has to pay $5.00/wk for the rest of his life. We need to send a message to the crooks in this industry that they can't get away with this crap. If we just lay down and let Bruce walk away, you can bet there will be 10 more "Bruces" next year. Not the direction we want this hobby to go! (Ok, I'm getting off my soap-box now) Have a good weekend everyone.

Micro-chips

I just scanned over the list and from memory, I believe close to half of the 100% het pieds are micro-chipped and guaranteed...by a dead man! Oh, and my receipt was signed by "Gail?". I believe one of Craig's receipts was signed by "Gail" and another by dead "Harry". Still interested? Also noticed Steven has a het pied I need to add to the list. I just have his double-hets shown.

Don't 100% het for pied have some sort of genitic marker?I thought that they did. Do any of the 100% het pieds have that marker that were bought from Bruce? I am just wondering.

What do you mean by genetic marker? Are you referring to something on the animal itself that is natural?

If that is the case, the answer is no. If that were the case, there would either be 100% hets or normals, no 66%, 50% etc. There ARE people that swear by different characteristics on hets of various types in various snakes. It is not a proven/scientific fact so that is that.
As I am sure you know, hets are a NORMAL snake that carries the unexpressed gene of a particular trait. When bred together (het to het or het to the actual morph) you will then get the shown genetic trait you are looking for.

He Tom, I think I am sounding like I have some sense now. I went out for dinner and got a meal!!! Sorry for all the confusion in our emails today!

Yes. That is exactly what I am talking about. I have herd that 100% het pieds have some kind of trait (natural) that will let you know if it is a 100% het or not. And the Piebald is the only morph that has this kind of marker.
Don't worry about the confusion in those e-mails. That can happen to anyone.;)

Actually there is a breeder's strin out there that does have this "genetic" marker.

Someone..I think it was Adam Block decided it would be smart to post pictures of this "marker" and tell the world that if their het / poss het does not have this marker....then it would probably not be a true het.

Unfortunately as aforementioned........this marker only appears on a certain "strain" of the animals. Not all the hets have this marker.

and since he posted that......I said something along the lines of "oh great. now all the bad guys would go and look for animals with that same belly and sell them as hets / poss hets....I know I looked at all my animals and decided to hld back the ones with that same marker"

And if you look at all the posts and if you kept of all of harry''s / Bruce's ads.....you will see that he did not start advertising his "genetically marked " animals until it was posted about it here.

So the answer to the question is NO.
Not all the hets/ poss hets have that genetic marker.
If you knew which breeder has that marker in his animals......then you knew to use that "marker" when purchasing his lineage. But it does not hold true for all the hets being sold.

I rambled...hope I made sense

Belly patterns

For what it's worth, here are my thoughts and experiences regarding this. I bought my first pair of hets from Jack Briggs at Designer Snakes. I had heard of the "het pied belly", but not mentioned it when I purchased the snakes. When I received them, sure enough, they both have it. Then I contacted Wes at Morph King. He had a few clutches to look at and sent pictures showing all the hatchlings in one clutch had the "het pied belly" and none of the hatchlings in the other clutch showed the trait. I ordered a male with the trait. Since then, I've asked about it when contacting breeders. One breeder (John Manser) indicated that 90% of the hets in his bloodline showed the trait and he has used it to sort out possible hets. Another breeder was selling 66% possibles. I inquired about a female with the trait. He said some of the males had it and admitted he holds back the females that have the trait. Since our population of pieds are descendents of Peter Kahl's imported baby. I believe that in one of the early pairings, the gene that causes this belly pattern got linked with the pied gene. Some bloodlines that resulted from this pairing and associated in-breeding in the early generations seem to carry this "linked" gene. Other bloodlines have completely variable belly patterns. Obviously the gene that causes this belly pattern can exist in any normal ball python as well. If you get a 100% het from a trusted breeder, it doesn't matter what it's belly looks like. It's a het. But I believe breeding hets that display the trait will aid in sorting out possible hets to hold back. All of the above is purely my thoughts and theories based upon my personal experiences. I may end up getting rid of some normal-bellied hets and keeping some normals with the belly trait, but I can assure you I won't be alone in this practice. Others are doing it quite successfully. And yes, I have a normal that shows the trait, and I don't ever plan to breed it into my pied bloodlines. How many het pieds do I have with normal bellies? One, a 2002 female from HCE. I think by 2003 all of Bruces were cherry-picked babies with a similar belly pattern. This topic has been discussed earlier in this thread as well.

Cool! I finally posted an image that worked

I had to convert the image to another application for it to be recognized as a jpeg, even though it was a jpeg to begin with. Anyway, that's my het male from John Manser.

Mark is a real person that works at the store. But beware he still works there and he knows exactly what Bruce does to say the least. More info to follow about him after police finish investigation.

It for got to mention free mites and recycled rats from when they regurge. And as an extra bonus with your purchase a free Ri to go with them.

Just some of the things i have had to deal with for CRE,Digital reptiles, Bruce,Harry,Noah. They are all the same.

can someone sum up what happened here....

Sorry, dont feel like going through 120+ pages. If anyone feels like it can they sum up where the investigation is at?
Thanks
TOM
