My full name is Joshua Costa. Here is Brock's ad for the 3 Bearded Dragons + Cage that I recently purchased from him.
Below is Brock Shue's original ad
"I got 3 bearded dragons 2 females 1 male. I am selling them with there 75 gallon aquarium all very beautiful and healthy. 1 female has a niped tail from when she was younger but very healthy and active. Prefer pick up or will meet you for some gas money. 350$ for all three and cage, lid, lights and all. Will post pics amongst request."

Brock drove two hours to come drop them off at my house. When he arrived he was a cool guy, he helped me carry the aquarium into my house and we talked herps for about 15minutes. Before we carried the aquarium into my house he opened up the container in which the Bearded's were transported, in which I took a considerably quick glance at them. This is where I made my mistake of not properly double checking the animals.
Female #1 had a nipped tail ya, but you forgot to mention its broken left hind leg, and its 5 nipped toes! Female #2 had a nipped tail as well, along with a broken toe! The male had an extended bottom jaw that makes his mouth hang open at all times. He also has a kinked knob tail and a nipped (half) toe.
I really did not get a good look at them when he delivered them to me, I should have noticed.

I messaged him this morning over fauna and here's my conversation with Brock.

Hey man just wanted to say, you seem like a nice guy, and I appreciate you driving out yesterday. But after taking a much closer look at the beardies I gotta say I was really displeased at the way you COMPLETELY misrepresented your animals. Female #1 had a nipped tail ya, but you forgot to mention its broken left hind leg, and its 5 nipped toes! Female #2 had a nipped tail as well, along with a broken toe! The male had an extended bottom jaw that makes his mouth hang open at all times. He has a knob tail and a nipped (half) toe. You clearly misrepresented these animals and I obviously didn't take a close enough look at them when you delivered them. Anyhow my intentions are not to just completely bash you, but instead show you how the reptile business works. When you do good business and represent your animals fairly, you get good happy customers who will speak highly of you. When you misrepresent them like you have just done, you WILL get called out on it. And it WILL reflect negatively upon your name in this business. If you are truly interested in being part of the reptile trade boost your business ethics, because nobody likes working with people who hide the truth. Are you willing to make up for bad business and offer me anything in return? (maybe a partial refund?) If not I believe it's my duty to place a thread on the BOI concerning your misrepresentation for the good of the reptile community. Thanks, Josh.
Brock's response
"The male has always had that with him I just never knew what was wrong with his jaw. The female with the missing toes was from when she was a baby, and i showed you that before you gave me the money, as for the broken leg she was walking fine on all fours when we packed her up so idk if it was something in the drive I don't know. Also I did not notice the broken toe on female 2. As far as a refund goes. I believe you got a fair deal with the sand and lights and log and rocks. Especially after the difficult times. If you do want to give me a bad reputation you may. I in no means intended to misrepresent them they are beautiful animals and are healthy. Or at least were when I packed them up minus the minor nip tails, the males jaw ( which I never knew was bad) and the female 1's toes. All said and done I think you got a good deal on it all I gave you the opportunity to look at them sorry if you were not pleased."
My last response
"You did give me a chance to look at them, and I made my mistake by simply glancing at them. That was my bad. But realistically those animals were far from what you posted. The only defect you mentioned was a nipped tail on one female. You left out a laundry list of other defects. And I really have a rough time believing that you never noticed that the female's leg was broken. When you hold it you can't help but realize that it cannot move its leg whatsoever, it just hangs limp. It's pretty weak that you're going to try and blame that on the car ride over too. Even if it did get injured on the way over, you should be responsible for transporting them with care. If it happened on the ride over that's pretty irresponsible if you ask me. Anyhow keep your cash, as far as I'm concerned your name is dirt in the reptile community."
