I read those emails and was they bothered me as much as if they were directed at me personally... a couple times I was purely outraged at the unscrupulous, irritating turnarounds where he insinuated the fault was all yours. This is outrageous!
I can vouch for you any day, you were one of the most honest, professional, and patient sellers I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Not once did you make me feel as if you had any unreasonable doubts in my character (in fact you did me an awesome, very trusting favor and he, the little male DH I got with my sunglow, is doing great!).
I feel sickened for you and hope this indvidual comes through with the animals or funds you are due AND MORE, because of the grief he has given you. I feel you are in no way to blame for this failed endeavor, you tried to prepare with a Plan B to protect both of you and he declined to do so. This could easily be rectified still, in the ways you suggested and more, but it all boils down to what you have feared all along... that he doesn't seem willing to attempt in any way to ease your fears or make it right.
Bobby, if you read this, man up and show a little commitment, do what you say you are going to do. Finish this right, save a little face, and move on.
