Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Uh . . .that would be game, set, and match!

Gracie and Upstate Exotics. Both are quick to point out the errors in advertising of others, but have trouble seeing it in their own ads! I'll be staying away from them BOTH!!!
 
No I don't have magic mice. When I FIRST recieved the monitor, he was very thin. Since then he wouldn't hold down any mice that I tried to give him but he did eat and keep down some turkey and dog food. So his weight stabalized but what he would keep down wasn't enough. Saying "getting thinner by the day" just ment that he was still thin and will get thinner if he doesn't start holding down his food. The first day I gave him the two mice he was very active and eagerly accepted the mice. Since then I've given him 1 mouse a day and he's been keeping every one of them down. And I said he's put on a little weight since the 26th, not a lot.

Examine your paragraph closely.
In one paragraph you have him holding down food. a couple sentences later you say he will get thinner if he does not start holding down food. also you tell them in e-mail it does not hold down any food. but then tell us it holds down turkey and dog food. it either holds down food or it does not. plain and simple...black and white.

When you got him you say he was VERY thin. But then he stabalized. Stabalized means not loosing weight and not gaining weight. Your add says he was flawless...... When in actuallity he is VERY thin. Unless of course now you are gonna back peddle and say he has gained weight prior to the 26th..... Which means you lied to upstate exotics on the 24th

Either admit to telling a lie. or tell us the whole story again...That way we can see other lies.

I have a monitor. It regurges EVERYTHING.

If people would just tell the truth they would never have the problem of having to try to remember what they said earlier. When you start lying you always end up contradicting yourself. I would never buy anything from Gracie or Upstate.
 
Unfortunately by the time I got to this thread and read through the replies... My brilliant deductive reasoning (Meaning it was obvious) about the time line and the feedings had already been clearly displayed.

The use of the term LTC is highly questionable though too...

An outright lie really.

The monitor came into Gracie's possession with ticks that she descibed as indicating it was wild caught, meaning ticks that don't look like the kind found in North America. She arrived at the not unreasonable conclusion that this meant it was a fresh import...

She had it for... what, about six weeks give or take?

So it has likely been captive for, at most... the absolute, utter maximum... of maybe three months, tops.

It was riddled with ectoparasites.

It was being treated still, by her own words telling Upstate that she couldn't afford the vet anymore, on the twenty fourth. In the original complaint she stated it was being wormed and treated for endoparasites, so it's safe to assume it still is as it's seeing the vet regularly enough to be something she can no longer afford to continue...

Even if it is done with the parasite treatments, it's not eating properly by any stretch of the imagination.

So how does that become long term captive and flawless?

Just because Upstate ripped you off Gracie... it doesn't mean you can turn around and try to victimize some other person. That makes you, if anything, WORSE then Upstate since you claimed to have the morals to know when an animal was unhealthy and shouldn't be sold, a claim they never really made too strongly.

This may sound a bit harsh here but... it's also not really bright to advertise the animal in question... on the same website that was used to voice your complaint... It's like standing over the corpse with the smoking gun just waiting for the cops to arrive. It's... something Jesse Underhill would do, which explains a lot to those who know about him.
 
One more question

Gracie's original post was on 2/12.

A follow up post on 2/28 indicated that the monitor was doing much better and "should beef up quickly".

Does that mean it wasn't eating from 2/12 to 2/28? That was never mentioned.

When did the monitor start regurging every meal (except for turkey and dog food)?
 
It's deals like this that somewhat make me long for the days when we could respond to posted ads in the advertising section of Fauna. I realize why we can't, and I agree with the reasoning. However, ads like that deserve to be followed by about a dozen responses showing the flat out deceipt Gracie is showing us all!
 
perhaps the option to see all BOI topics regarding the individual who posts a classified ad should be implemented?

I doubt this could be properly programmed though, so it'd be extra moderator work...
 
UPSTATE - GRACIE

Upstate are clearly jumping on Gracie with revenge as their motive in MY OPINION, trying to clear their name by slinging mud at her, problem is as I see it, they are covered in so much mud from the transaction they did with her and Gracie's latest dealing doesn't exactly wash much off her.

I personally find both upstate and Gracie to be unreliable, Gracie appears to be just playing games with people.

I wouldn't buy from either.... too many lies, may get a misrepresented, sick animal or no animals at all....... weather too bad, cat destroyed the package.
 
well after scanning this post and the upstates post's all i can say is this is exactly how the board is suppose to work ,,,,give them the rope,,,,,,,,,thomas T&S reptile farm
