    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Calientedragons - Rankin Dragons

I agreed at the beginning of our email exchanges not to disclose the name of the seller to caliente dargons. I am still standing by that agreement. He does not want to be drug through the boi. He is not witholding the seller. He doesnt know who it is beyond a first name.I will quote his email.

"Hi, please keep the e-mails between us. I don't want them being posted on the BOI. I seriously dont know if they are hybrids, or were hybridized 5 generations ago. Now that the stock that we imported is breeding size, they all look the same, just regular grey rankins. I do think there is some "genetic junk" floating around with these guys from years of breeding from a small gene pool. I imported a group of rankins along with another breeder from a wholeslaer who gor them from a guy named wilco in europe, thats all I know. I have no information on who breed them, or if they are in fact unrelated to any of the U.S. rankins. We brought in a yellow, orange and normal line(all look the same). Can't remember which line(s) I sold to caliente."
 
It seems like an easy fix would be just send back the money. If the dragons are already returned then there is no reason to hold the money. It is to easy for everyone to start making bad business a personal war. I didn't see any reason to try and bash someone with a slandering way of talking about someones profession. She made a living doing something allot of people do, and even more people enjoy watching, but not to many want to talk about it as a job. Although it has nothing to do with the topic it still seemed to pop up. We need to get back on track with this thread and see if an agreeable outcome can be found. It seems like a simple thing to do and I don't know why this thread is still going on. Just give her back the money she is owed.

I guess I would not bring this stuff up, but by posting, you put it in issue.

ALL of us have made choices in our lives that perhaps others would not have made. And what we were, makes us what we are, as you said.

People deal with you by your reputation. If there are those that look askance at your past, you have an opportunity to create a new future for yourself by being meticulous about the present and your business dealings. With operations like Paypal, the words 'a refund is due' isn't necessary, you can immediately issue one.

I'm hoping that the woman you are today is a woman who is careful and honorable in her business dealings, who would never again engage in a felony, who would cross the street rather than get within any close distance of anyone in the Aryan Nation group.

This board was created so that people could make judgments about the safety and advisability of future transactions by looking at people's past dealings.

I think the only way people will put aside any qualms they may have about the past, is if theyare shown that the person is going above and beyond in their pursuit of good business practices now.

You need to convince buyers that in a competitive field where there are many who have made good biz reps through decades of hard work and good customer service, that you deserve a chance. Do you? It's up to you.
 
Going back through 7 years of reciepts, I have personally purchased over 400 gecko. I have produced and sold in excess of 700. My mother has purchased over 200 beardies and sold thousands. Combined we have bought over 200 leaftail geckos and sold about 100.

Since opening my store in November of last year, I have purchased over 4000 animals.

There are very reputable breeders (at least 15 off the top of my head) that I have done tens of thousands of dollars of business buying and selling for years that I have NEVER had a problem with. They are all more than happy for me to use them as refrences.

I do not have a single BBB compalint, or a single charge back on my merchant account.

If one or two bad threads is all there is to go buy, that doesnt speak the volume of my business transactions.

My personal life has been fairly in order for the last 10 years, I can not control what others do around me, I can only roll with the punches :)

I think its sad this post was put on the BOI.
I think Seamus was way out of line. If you have something personal against her then keep it personal. If you have bad business dealings with her then post those. That is what would be more appropriate. Those comments and statements were not helping the original topic just makes you look mean.
You can judge her based on her profession as a reptile dealer but that and only that.
I know people that have some amazing dragons from her and were extremely happy with there dealings with Wendy and mom. If I saw a dragon I wanted I would buy it no questions. No matter who you buy from online is taking a chance.
I think someone who has had to defend herself more then she should would not be so quick to post on a board when not truly needed.
This BOI board should warn people about scammers and bad breeders not unhappy customers or those with buyers remorse.
You saw the pictures, made a purchase and sent it back before things were settled. All of this was done very hasty. You should have gotten all this info ahead of time.
I think the only thing Heidi did to make her look bad, was offering a refund and retracting it but I see where she is coming from after being put on the BOI.
I bought a 350.00 dragon and it got here in not so great condition. I was never able to return her to health and she passed. The guy never would contact me back but you know what?? I never asked for more pictures and weight of the dragon. I liked the color and bought her on the spot. That was a bad decision on my part. I did not blast him on the BOI because I should have asked for more then one picture and for more then just genetics.
If you never got your dragons or they cam sickly with no refund then its grounds for trying and blasting someone.
It seems like most people have lost compassion and the sense of responsibility on there part.
I do not think you need to defend yourself against personal attacks. I think this post was never going to help you. Not sure what was suppose to be accomplished with it but I do think you should not have to defend your personal life.

Funny, she says the exact same thing about those thefts except that she blames you. Says it wasn't her fault and that you were the responsible one.

The two of you are business partners in addition to being relatives, you used a joint paypal account to steal from people. You're both lying thieves who are just tossing the blame back and forth to whichever of you is not currently in the spotlight.

I can judge her on any criteria I want to. There are hundreds of people who money can be spent with for reptile purchases. Looking at the quality of their character, the quality of them as a person is *exactly* what buyers should do before deciding who to send their money to.

Wendy's ethics are in the toilet. She's a blame dodging thief, just like her criminal mother.

Wendy's world views are reprehensible, her opinions and beliefs are disgusting and offensive. Her hobbies are an affront to common sense and basic decency.

Why in the hell would anyone want to support Wendy when there are other options who are genuinely good people- instead of thieving hate mongering scumbags?

Last I looked in on this thread all that was left was for Heidi to refund the cost of the returned dragons.

Some of you have chosen to resort to personal attacks on the op, why? it does not accomplish anything but to detract from the topic at hand and confuse people seeking information.

People will read this thread in the future and all this personal garbage will cloud the issue at hand.

Heidi...open your paypal and hit the refund button. its the right thing to do at this point.
 
Seamus. First off my mother is a federal employee and has NEVER broken a law. She is the furthest thing from a criminal.

Who are you to decide what is immoral??? I have never meet a single person in my life that is able to throw a stone at a glass house. In the eyes of god and the bible I havn't done anything that isnt forgivable. I'm not a murderer. Get down off your high horse and realize that people arnt as good as YOU set YOUR standards to.

NOWHERE on the internet has it been reported that I have taken money and not shipped animals, not refunded, or flat out stole. NEVER! You calling me a thief makes you a LIER. The 2 threads about Jeane. 1 was about Rankins. ANYONE who EVER purchased and wasnt happy recieved a refund. The debate was about the genitics, not the money exchanges. As I have said 100 times now. I have never owned, breed, or sold Rankins on the internet. 2 post about Jeane was a breeder male dragon that she sold to someone who died 6-8 months later. I never read the posts, considering I was incarcerated the full 2 years this was in between. I believe that Jeane was found to have no fault.

Name calling only shows what type of person YOU are. No matter what you say about me, you'll never get the reply post that stoops to your level.

I myself am not a racist, and working in a tattoo shop I didn't get the priveledge of turning away the owners customers based on their personal beliefs. Do you at your job?What they believe or don't is NONE of my buisness.Odviously I don't date the guy anymore that was affiliated with them. You find out about people as your relationship progresses. It wasn't something he disclosed when I meet him.

Bottom line is the Drankins where returned and a refund is in order. I would also like to add that Heidi complete omitted the fact that the animals where returned to her in the dispute process. Why would that be?

So now with that being said and done, can we swiftly get back on topic? It would be nice to hear from Hiedi and see what she wants to do to make this right. I hope it all works out fair for both of you. (which would be a refund imo)
 
Here is my dispute to paypal and her reply. I do not have a paypal account. We have a merchant services account and process our own credit cards. I had my aunt pay for me through paypal because that is the ONLY form of payment she accepts. I want to point out at NO TIME did I refuse a refund. I simply posted that I didnt think it was fair that she keep the shipping cost.

The claim has been escalated to investigation because she has NOT admitted to them that I returned the animals safely. It is her intent to keep all the money.

I have also taken further actions not disclosed here and will continue to do so until I get a refund.

7/22/2009 14:30 PDT - Buyer: Item was signifiganty not as describe. Proof is available for signifigant difference as well as written documentation that seller agreed to refund.. Item (animals) has been returned to seller, seller recieved it yesterday and still not provided agreed refund.. UPS tracking # 1Z14W5620193430573. for return delivery.

7/22/2009 15:03 PDT - Seller: Customer Ordered 2 Rankins Dragons, and received them live and healthy. She saw pictures before ordering and got what was pictured.They were not what she assumed, tried to work out a refund on one of them minus shipping cost. Customer Refused.. I told the customer due to the nature of what we sell ( Live Reptiles) we do not accept returns. This is not even her paypal account, she is using someone else's account. The Jeane Best / Wendy Childs email [email protected] is a know scammer, I have been selling and using paypal for years and have never had a complaint. I hate to point out the obvious, but at this point, Heidi ignoring this thread and continuing to refuse to refund the money would put her in my "not ever going to deal with" category...Especially since she decided to change her policy to "no returns" after she had a problem, agreed to a refund and then changed her mind. I would send PayPal to this thread if need be.
 
I have sent all of our email exchanges, the return package info, her post here that she recieved them safe, the email from the guy she bought them from confirming everything about her false advertising and there bloodlines - to paypal when I escalated it.
 
No, she used her bank account. But her bank said they WILL reverse the charges if it comes to that. But, that might mean the undoing of her paypal account. Whatever it takes in the end.
 
The thing is that Paypal is still not going to help you because of their policy on returns. They specifically say that on their site they do not involve themselves in significantly not as described disputes. And your bank can contact paypal in regards to this but it will still not get resolved that way either. the only option you ever had was to make things right directly through heidi but you decided to take a different route and then got pissed when it didnt work out your way. You can always bully people into doing what you want.
